  1. I had looked at the High Tower and the Aklys. I was seriously considering the High Tower but I didn't like the look of the 25nd mag and it is fairly large (height wise). Heard good reviews though.
  2. Yes. Because the recoil is coming in sideways and slapping into that spot instead of inline into the palm of the hand and arm. Seen it before.
  3. I agree with the bipod. It's QD for that very reason, but I left it on for the picture. I'm also going to try an mlok side mounted bipid and see how that works. I need the bipod for taking care of the groundhogs through my kitchen window. It's actually very easy to shoot offhand. Balances very well.
  4. This does a better job putting it into visual. Go to 5:46 for your particular question. https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=397&v=vmnLA2DuYJs&embeds_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&feature=emb_logo
  5. Yes, a way over tight grip. Using a two hand grip, you want to be pushing your right hand into your left hand and your left hand pushing back on the right hand. You want a firm but light grip with your right hand. You can tell by dry firing. With just your right hand, dry fire like you would at the range. I believe you will see (with an over tight grip) when you squeeze the trigger, the torque from your trigger finger is pulling the gun left and down. You want you your trigger finger coming straight back into the gun. Trigger should be to the left side of the trigger finger first knuckle.
  6. I thought that too but after handling it, it makes sense. It keeps it very compact and accentuates it's portability. I actually prefer it to a grip in this platform, now that I have it.
  7. I'm a bullpup fan and when I saw the opportunity to get the new Desert Tech Trek-22 for the Ruger 10/22, I jumped. I understand it'll be a love or hate, purely on asthetics alone, but I love it! It's super compact, balances extremely well, losses weight over any other stock, and retains (if not accents) my Hornet trigger. All my upgrades are retained. A couple drawbacks: you'll have to take the stock shell apart to deep clean and you have to remove the optic to remove the clam shell. Not hard just a thing. That being said, it's easy to access for general cleaning and easy to reassemble. This is my final setup. That's an 18" bull barrel.
  8. Not the drum mags due to the mag well. The tower is not tall enough, but it will take stick mags
  9. Yes, internal Rem choke threads
  10. Like new, never shot. Got two of these, so one can go. I was in the Saiga 12 game since they were new and this is a better product. It's been inspected, cleaned, and put in the safe. 3 position gas plug, 2 - 5 rnd mags (uses Saiga style mags), uses Rem chokes, hinged railed top cover, and includes a JTS stock adapter. The adapter let's you use aftermarket Ace style stocks. Sold, Nashville area. No trades
  11. As an update, I went with the Burris RT-6 1-6x24. It was far superior to the PA 1-6x24 ACSS. The PA was great till I compared it head to head with the Burris. The Burris I can truly use as a 1x. The PA had a lot fish eye distortion and the 1x was noticably off.
  12. Right now S&W has a $100 rebate on all M&P's.
  13. Bump for over price reduction. Parts alone are worth more. $300.
  14. It's not hard. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cWTRYQELRX4
  15. Customer service. I had several and all were great guns. In some ways they were better than the Steyr, but due to the lack of interchangeability of a few parts and the horrible customer service, they tended to get a bad rep. Now that Steyr is importing them again, there's no reason to not get the better Steyr.
  16. New in box Magpul Hunter-X for a Ruger 10/22. FDE. Got this for a project but went in a different direction. Works with standard or .920 bull barrels. New in box Nashville area $100. Stock photo:
  17. I'd go with a .357 (.38spl) or .22, those, with what you have, are kind of the meat and potatoes of levers.
  18. Sales fell through. Bumping one more time.
  19. It's possible. Pm if interested.
  20. This has been one of my dream guns for the longest time. Closest I ever got were the series of MSAR STG E4's I had over the years. The MSAR's were great, but I had always wanted a Steyr. Since Steyr started importing them again a while back and prices have dropped some, I was able to pick one up. Who needs an SBR or braces when you can have a bullpup! I did get a little sacrilegious and went with the NATO stock, but that is because I had an abundance of AR mags. Since I was already familiar with the platform I knew what I wanted to add so ... it got the 20/20 Sear, Corvus QD takedown pin, Ratworx TR-1A fore rail, Ratworx Hybrid bolt, and a Corvus brass deflector. I added a Magpul/ADM QD bipod, foregrip, and Strike Cloak FH with a Strike Oppressor (for indoor ranges). Haven't been able to make it to the range yet and I am still experimenting with optics. I'll either use a Holosun 510C with a flip to the side 5x magnifier or a PA SLx 1-6x24 ACSS. The pics below have a Burris AR223, that I was using as a placeholder. The Bi-pod is for the range. I also have a Wilderness Tactical Giles sling that works great with this gun. Now all I need is that full size Uzi B and my 80's movie dream gun collection will be made! With the SI Oppressor: without the SI Oppressor:
  21. So to clarify this is still available. Haha
