Technically, it wouldn't be either since both are governmental/political terms (legal/ civil union). Here's another way to think about it. If there is no one around to officiate/witness/document (TEOTW scenario) can there be a marriage or just two people being together? However, since the government has seen fit to oversee the ordinance it would be legal. BTW -on a humorous side note, in Medieval Britain if two people made commitments and physically consummated the relationship it was a legal marriage. Needless to say it was a busy time for Dark Age courts!
-
You are on the correct path. So why is marriage an issue to begin with?
-
I find it ironic that many of you who keep chanting about benefits of same-sex marriageare some of the same ones who complain about ex's getting all their stuff. I also find it ironic that many of the folks here crying for it here are the same ones that want absolute separation of church and state ... except when they want the state to dictate the Church. So the Church can not dictate to the state, but the state can dictate to the Church and that is some how more constitutional? If you want to talk about tax issues related to marriage that is political ... marriage is not. Marriage has always (and I mean always) been a religious recognition in all societies between God/god man and woman in every society and every religion. The fact that government has seen fit to involve itself in that is troubling. Separation of church and state unless it is marriage.

I liked the movie and thought the idea of the origins of the bad guy and Costner's character background was pretty good. The whole PO being the uniting factor was a little odd IMO, but not entirely unbelievable. As to Nicholas Cage, I never understood his appeal. The only movie he was worth anything in was Raising Arizona. That was an awesome movie!

Maybe we can have a "bump you Rep Points" thread like we used to have the "bump you post count" threads.

Don't know that I'd be able to really order them. They all have pro's and con's. The only one I'd really put at the bottom (or off the list) would be the Jennings. It was my first and I quickly learned a valuable lesson, so in that sense it was a good one for me - Romanian Draco - it counts as a pistol? 1. Browning - Hi-Power (Several 9's and a .40) 2. S&W - M&P9 (3) 3. CZ - 2075 RamiP, 75, P-07 4. Walther - P99 (2) 5. FN - FNP9 USG, Hi-Power (9mm and a .40) 6. FEG - PJK-9HP 7. Springfield - XD9 4" (several) 8. Glock - 19 (several) 9. Sig - 226 10. Ruger - SR9, LCR 38 11. Kel-Tec - PF9 (several), P11 12. Radom - P-64 13. Jennings

Paramilitary Training Is Illegal?
Smith replied to E4 No More's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
"evidence of prejudices while committing a crime ..." Is there really legal language such as that in Florida law? WOW. On a side note, it sounds like these guys were mostly targeting their own kind. Maybe Florida should put them in the same cell and let them "sort" it out. -
Yeah, Bush was saying the same thing. Actually 78 times he addressed it and the Dem's who have controlled the Pres, House, or Senate and at least two of those positions simultaneous over the last 12 years blocked it every time. Point is the Republicans need to come together to take the country back and then they can sort out who they want in leadership. Trying to eat the whole elephant in one bite has been the Achilles heel of the Republicans for a very long time. Ron Paul really needs to see the big picture. He keeps trying to win the battle and we are loosing the war. Like the guy but this is his most destructive flaw - to himself and his goals.

House to vote on "Trayvon amendment"

"Shoot-first' laws have already cost too many lives. In Florida alone, deaths due to self-defense have tripled since the law was enacted." Do they even hear how stupid they sound? -
1. The forward assist serves no practical purpose and you will never use it. 2. Keep it well lubed/ "wet". Necessary 3. They do but there is no round limit in TN, so it doesn't matter.
-
Now Mike, you know that wasn't directed at you. Right? BTW - Osama isn't using anything anymore, but rumor had it he wanted to use an AR but the prevailing opinion on the internet was they jam in desert enviroments. He even started a thread with a poll.

Justification. That's why there are so many Glockers and Arfer's on the internet. .....

Depending on how old it is there may be some warranty left on it. Warranties are limited one year on the Saiga. If it is a gas port issue (which is what is sounds like) you'll want that dealt with. Troy Sellars at In Range in Kodak, TN is the closest that could handle it. http://www.inrangec2.com/

It is/was an issue. Beveling the back of the carrier takes care of the problem. Most companies have figuered this out. The other option is something along these lines and it fixes the issue as well. http://www.heavybuffers.com/anticant.html

For what it's worth, the S&W M&P PS uses the Adams system. I'd stay away from anything with Olympic on it. Especially, a piston system. Also make sure the bolt carrier is chamfered or beveled at the back and the the carrier has the gas key machined into it. Not bolted on to the carrier like a traditional carrier.

Current. There were a lot of failed not very good guns in the past. Mas included.

I'll play devils advocate: IIRC the AR is the only DI issued gun used by any military in the world. Every other military issued weapon is and has been gas piston. Reason's are pretty obvious. I find it funny the AR guys who spend countless dollars to accessories/fix issues on the AR and then say, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" or "well, it's worked OK for the last 60 years" when it comes to the DI system. NiB coatings, stainless, chrome bolts, "gas busting" charging handles, reworking gas ports, adjustable gas blocks, fancy interior reciever coatings, ...... the list goes on. Less moving parts arguement - I rarely see someone with an AR concerned with simplicity when they are adding rails, optics, FH, grips, buttstock, contols, etc. Lighter weight argument - I guess that gets negated once all the above is added on. Accuracy - the bullet is out of the barrel before the recoil starts unless you have an incredibly long barrrel. In all seriousness I see it as 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other. I like piston guns, but I also prefer AK's. If you are getting a piston, the Adams is the best IMO.

Obviously you have an incredible thing for Paul, as evidenced by the shear volume of threads you start on the subject, but using Rachel Madow as a source is not the bets way to make an argument.

But ... it's Perfection! mikegideon got it right. -
They sell barrels for the Wizard series but not individual barrels for the Matched Pair or Trifecta guns. At least that's what Rossi said. I looked for a customer.
