  1. I've always heard you're not supposed to use 5.56 in a .223, because it can blow up your gun. However, I have never seen a case that I van recall of it every happening. It may well be a case of much ado about nothing.

    POF AR's...

I had one and it was everything they claim. Loved that thing. Only reason I sold it was I had got it in a trade and couldn't justify having that much tied up in one gun. If I had the disposable income I'd get another in a heart beat. Shots well and the bolt carrier and bolt are super smooth. Gas system is easy to get to, adjust, and clean.
  3. Unless you use lead bullets. Then it's the exact opposite
  4. Cheap ain't they! Very cool though.
  5. Good job. These things are fun and easy to convert. Now go get you a 20rnd drum and a Slide Fire and REALLY have some fun!

    357 sig ..

Yep I got ahead of myself. 9mm can not be converted up but .40 and .357 are cross compatible ... Usually.

    357 sig ..

    Nevermind

    357 sig ..

Just to clarify, Guns chambered in .40 can usually be barrel swapped to .357 or 9mm but a .357 can only swap to 9mm NOT up to .40 and 9mm can only be 9mm. Reason being is that the hole in the end of the slide of a .40 has clearance. A conversion barrel is a little thicker to fill the gap. A .357/9mm slide is too small to accommodate the larger diameter of .40

    357 sig ..

I love the round myself however, I figured that I can get near the same performance from a 9mm +p or +p+ (depending on load) and have the ability to shoot the cheaper 9mm target loads. Only reason I don't have a 357 SIG anymore. Just a thought.
  10. I think he should have just fixed it by beating some of you over the head with it!
  11. Hows that differnet from the overkilled AR's being assembled by the equivalent of 8 yr olds in nearly ever city in America?
  12. You'll love it. I have the same one in blue and it is my favorite gun. I have Buffalo Bore's that get 30/30 ballistics out of that little carbine. Just about as perfect an all round utility gun that there is. Great for home defense, small game hunting (.38's) and most larger game in North America (within range of course) with the hot .357's. I added a Lyman tang sight to mine and really like it. Doing it over I'd pony up the extra bucks fro the windage adjustable Marbles.
  13. No. He didn't take a life, he saved his daughters life and the others that would have followed.
  14. Technically, only 3% at most of slaves made it to America. Most (that made it out of Africa) went to South America and the Caribbean.

    8K "reptile" gun

While the prices are high, in my limited experience in the west, I did notice that gun prices seem to be pretty high as a norm. I'm told Colorado prices, for whatever reason, seem to use the Franklin Gun shop model.
  16. D&T in Goodletsville does Cerakoting, Duracoating, and Powder coating.
  17. At the urging and assitance of Rightwinger, I have begun to teach my family Klingon as our second language.
  18. Technically, USPS can't compete with their own pricing. They will be gone soon.
  19. Just get a single hook. The second hook is needlessly redundant and doesn't do anything. Plus, your receiver is more than likely a single hook.
  20. D&T's transfer fee for TGO members is $15
  21. Except that the GI mags were always considered the flaw or weak point of the M16/M4/AR. I wonder if the military will still insist on using the old tilting followers that Magpul improved considerably? They aren't mil-spec?
  22. As the experts said don't use aluminum with steel, especially in a muzzle device. The different chemistry (galvanic corrosion) will cause all sorts of rust problems and could "weld" themselves together.
  23. I will get one when they are more available, but so far I really like the Shield. When they came out I thought eh, but the more I handle it the more it has grown on me. Size is nice and the trigger is far better than anything else in that format. It's even rumored to take M&P parts!
  24. Yep old news, but it did drive the price of Saiga 12's from the $400-$500 to near the $900 and over mark! At least price has come down, but availability has still kept the price higher than it should.
  25. Yeah, cause Paul never flipped on anything Some of you Paul-bots are getting as bad as the Obamanites and in some cases worse.
