1. As long as you don't put a stock or vfg, you can do whatever you want. All the things you mentioned are CA laws. Hi caps, FH, and everything else is good here. Here is my Draco pistol. Minus the stock it is a pistol.
2. If it's like most, that knurled retainer will need to be loosened and then the rail spins off the barrel nut adapter.
3.
And the internet psychiatrist.
I do what I can.
4.

I'll bet a lot of folks won't venture to read that far.
That was the author's opinion as the artist has not stated a position as you quoted. It's nice to see you choose the quote, out of context, you like in order to draw the conclusion you're predispossed to have while useing that to claim bigotry of those you wish to impune. Got to love the bigoted mindset. They see themselves in eveyone else. Regardless of what the artist was intending, it was in bad taste for both sides. You don't make people think by attacking them. It's like a dog in a corner, they just blindly fight back and reinforce their postition.
5. I also am not a .40 fan. Fine round and has a place but it is a compromise. It does some of what a 9mm does but not the best parts. Some of what the .45 does but not the best parts. All that and it comes at the cost of less rounds, more cost, more recoil, and less inherent accuracy of the 9mm. If I want small and fast - 9mm. If I want heavy and limited capacity - .45 That being said I think the G19 is about as perfect a sized gun there is. It's compact enough to carry easy, yet large enough to shoot like a full size and in a 9mm you are still getting 15 rnds. Just my .02
6. I'm inspired. I'm now looking for scaprs of sheet metal!
7.
LOL, the property owner doesn't think it's worth the risk over petty theft, why should you?
Property owner doesn't want to get dragged through the legal system over some "petty thief". It cost them more to do that than the merchandise. I guarantee if it wasn't cost prohibitive to prosecute "petty" crime, they would be all over them. Interesting how the system is set up to protects the thief more than the law abiding victim. Seems I've heard that sentiment before.
8.
Security guard or simply private citizen, except in significantly extenuating circumstances, no one should be killed to protect property; most especially property that the one doing the killing doesn't even own. This thief deserved to be stopped and arrested and tried and, if found guilty he deserved to be punished but he didn't deserve to be executed.
He wasn't executed. He triggered a response and he played the game. Can't complain when it doesn't go your way. Why do we hold responders to a higher responsibility than the criminal? The criminal went in knowing what he was doing, the reponders did simply that - respond. I give them a whole lot more latitutde. This attitude is why recidivism is a given, not an anomaly.
9. I don't have a problem with an actual filibuster. That should have been done when the Republicans had the opportunity and the Dems cried foul. As far as changing the vote count, that is the bigger issue.
10. D&T has/had them.
11. My issue is more with how punishment is served. Few actually serve their full time or what they deserved. I would like to see crimes punished without all the pleas and sentencing guidelines and when time is served it is over. Of course I'm big on the death penalty and think a lot of recidivism crimes need to be punished to the full extent of the law. However, It's a judicial system not a justice system.
12. Personally I would go with the same gun in .357 with a 16"-18" barrel. With that length you essentially can get 30-30 performance. You can also load the lighter .38/9mm bullets for small game or juice the velocity up for bigger game. Add to that you can use .38spl or .357mag and in an SHTF scenario you can reload with 9mm bullets as well. That keeps cost, weight, and availability at maximum effectiveness while adding versatility. The .45 is a little more limited as far as hunting versatility, capacity, cost, availability, and weight.
13.
would this work??? http://www.cncwarrio...24mm-4pc-brake/
That's where I would have sent him. Except you will need the 14x1 LH version. CNCW makes really good stuff. Keep in mind you need to "permanently" attach whatever you use.
14.
My concern with the Crossbreed is that in pictures I can't see that it would sit low enough to not be seen when I tuck in, but I'm not that familiar. Is that anything to be concerned about?
I know a skinny guy who carries a Sig 226 or 1911 14 hrs a day and usually has a polo shirt tucked in over it. No one knows he carries. The Crossbreed is adjustable for height and cant as well. It can sit 3/4 or more below the pant line. Not the best way because it's hard to draw with so little to grip above the pant line, but it's doable.
15.
Is there any truth in the statement that TN allows OC with the HCP to eliminate the possibility of false brandishing claims? It seems what we have is worth being thankful for, but I wish we had more leeway like that special permit now issued in MS. (if I've read correctly, they jump through the same hoops for their special permit as we do for our regular permit - grrrr)
IIRC Yes. There was a case where a person was charged for exposing a previously concealed firearm and the legislature responded by taking the concealed provision out.
16.
I hear Mitch McConnell is the leading advocate for extending the term limit right now. That way he can get all the Republicans in the Senate onboard with making Obama a two-term president.
They rambled that same mess with Clinton.
17. Sent paperwork Oct. 10th, pending Nov. 13th.
18. In the USPS defense, the fed takes any and all of their profit and puts it in the general fund. A fairly good example of how government runs things. Take from the makers to give to the takers then blame the makers.
19. If you convert a Saiga AND properly do the front end the dollar amount is fairly even if not a little ahead with the Arsenal. You have to add in the refinishing and proper parts. Are they worth it? Yes and no. Do you get a "better gun (reliability, function, etc.?) with an Arsenal .... no. Do you get a fully complete and properly factory built AK that is top shelf for a fair deal? Yes. Would I buy an Arsenal? No. I'd go with the Saiga and make it exactly the way I want it. If I wanted a historically correct traditional AK that I wasn't going to change anything on, I'd get the Arsenal. It's all in what you want. Six of one 1/2 dozen of the other.
20.
They are remaking this. A travesty in my mind. Kerry wont get it. Too much baggage. Too good of a Karl Rove character assassination.
I agree with the travesty. I'm afraid the remake is going to destroy my childhood and love of AK's! I also agree Kerry won't get it ...at least I hope not. Just the fact that he could be put up for that is confirmation of the administrations outright hatred for the military. BTW - Karl didn't assassinate Kerry's character. Kerry did that himself in Vietnam.
21. I laugh so I won't cry.
22. According to Aguilla, they work very well in the Winchester 1300 for which they were deseigned. Aguilla also says they will work in some Mossbergs but not 870's. I had an IAC (870) clone that they workded in but you had to be firm and fast on the pump. Evidently Aguilla's sight is down or I'd post the link.
23. Problem is there aren't enough that care about values. If Benghazi didn't bring down massive elements of the administration, Fast and Furious didn't lead to prison sentences, or Obama care lead to state revolts - this won't matter. Was it stolen? I wouldn't go that far.No doubt there was massive cheating from the libs as usual, but that is just a continuation of the symptoms of socialism. Going after this issue is like tyring to cure an HIV patient by treating their flu symptoms.
24. Hey c.lunn, you know D&T has Crossbreeds for the M&P in stock. No wait! :-)
