As far as AR's go any of the name brands will serve you well. Stay away from Olympic, Hess/Blackthorne, and deal thats sound too good to be true. As far as the AK "vacuum thingy", that is only the sound of 7.62 bullets being sucked from the magazine and down the barrel. ;)

Bin Laden's SIL pleads not guilty in federal court
Smith replied to strickj's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No. He is a foreign combatant and should have been tried in a military tribunal. In a civilian court he is being treated as an American citizen and given all the rights thereof. -
Ok, I'm a dummy. Explain .223 vs 5.56 to me please

No. Different issues there. -
If you have toddlers and a pool check this out

We took our kids when they were babies and taught them to swim. You just blow in their face and push them through like a torpedo and they will hold their breath and pop up smiling. Heck, they spent their first 9 months swimming. The earlier you start the easier it is to teach them. -
LOVE it. I tried all the ones you listed plus the MFT and the CAA grips. The MD Arms Molot grip is by far my favorite. Those who have held it like it as well. BTT - Century raised their dealer prices. These things keep going up.

If you are serious you Will not find more anyone that will even sell you more than one or two lowers at a time if and when they get them in. Most are back-ordered, have buy limits, or are extremely high priced. There is absolutely no bargaining power in your favor for a "bulk buy". Right now dealers can't even get 10 lowers in one order (stripped or otherwise) and unless you have 10 LPK's laying around you will find the same difficulty there as well. You haven't mentioned uppers, but same problem there. If you are truly serious wait till later in the summer and I think you will find what you are looking for but right now ... not even if you were willing to pay the current $300 a piece for a stripped lower.

IMO, a SBR 5.56 is odd. You drop so much velocity when you get under 16" that you might as well have a high velocity .22 mag. No offense to those that like them. The x39 in a SBR makes so much sense they devoloped the .300 blackout for AR's :) Here's a pretty good comparison of the lengths: 16" - 2309 FPS 12.5" - 2075 FPS (Draco) 10.25" - 1940 FPS. (M92) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbgAh9-sCDQ&feature=player_embedded#!

Pretty easy on an M92 or Draco. Drill and tap two holes and you can put any of the ACE style stocks directly on it. It's what I did.
-
Because the 7.62x39 is a fast burning round. It basically maxes out at 16" anyway. IIRC the drop off is only a few hundred FPS from 16" to 12.5/10.25". Being that it is a 300 yrd round to begin with the velocity drop combined with the .30 cal bullet within the same range means the performance difference is negligible. In the SBR form, it essentially takes it to .300 Blackout range. I'm sure someone will come along and state the stats, but that is the basic rundown.
-
It doesn't get much more practical than a Draco or M92. You don't loose any thing balistically, you gain a bit of accuracy, and you gain a lot on portability. Basically it's a 30-30 or a better version of the 300 blackout. ;-) Essentially there is one pistol on the market the M92. They other one is the Draco but they dried up and are harder to find these days. You can get one of the Arsenals but you pay for the pretty. Put a stock on it and its about as good as it gets in the AK world. I've had a bunch of AK's and the SBR'd pistols are by far my favorites.

There's nothing to the mag disconnect. Just push the pin out of the trigger and your done. It will make the trigger noticeably better. To do a full on trigger job you will need a hi power specific gunsmith. You have to change the sear pin location and if you don't know what you're doing it's a ruined gun.

Search here. Several recent threads. It is an 870 copy with a better steel machined receiver, heavier barrel, and all metal parts. Everything on an 870 is interchangeable with the IAC and takes all the 870 accessories. IAC and Remington are owned by the same parent company so technically it's not a "clone"? It is the perfect gun for what you are looking for.

Just came across this. Now it isn't "real world" shooting but gives a pretty good idea of the differences. http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/brass-vs-steel-cased-ammo/#/

I got one of these recently and really like it. It's not 350 lumen's but it is tactical light bright. One AA battery and it is small enough to put on a key chain or easily carry in a pocket. I was surprised how small it was. http://dx.com/p/uniquefire-g10-cree-xp-e-r5-1-mode-350-lumen-white-led-flashlight-with-strap-1-14500-1-aa-55244

"Coating buildup" is another internet myth. There have been a few reports of cases that get stuck in the chamber. The cause for that is not the coatings. It is because the steel being a bit harder than brass doesn't always expand as well. If you have a chamber that has a slight imperfection combined with the steel expansion, it can leave a gap where carbon leaks back though in the chamber and the subsequent cases gets flash "welded" into the carbon buildup in the chamber. I believe these reports to be wildly exaggerated and overly repeated as most internet myths seem to be. The only guns that seem to have consistent issues are DPMS. I attribute that to quality control of DPMS more than Wolf. As to wear, if a soft steel case wears your chamber then you need a better gun. The bi-metal bullet I can see wearing the barrel more, but again we are talking about taking the life expectancy from 50,000 rnds to 45,000 IMO. ;) I've shot Wolf Classic/Poly/Military almost exclusively in over 10 AR's and dozens of AK's and I've never had a problem. Everything from a Del-Ton to a POF. It's dirtier but as others have said, no more than WWB or Blazer.

Different Perspective on the players of the End Times.
Smith replied to JG55's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Mainly you can't look at them with an American-centric interpretation. The scriptures were written to interpreted with a Israeli-centric viewpoint. It's pretty well established that the raiders from the "north" is probably a reference to a Russian alliance coming through the Baltic and the "millions from the east" as China. The whole Turkish model is a pretty substantiated theory as it has ties to Islam and "Catholicism/Christianity" through the Romans, Constantinople, The Ottomans's, and Constantine. -
Metallurgical they are better than the Remington's according to the test I've read on some shotgun forums.. The receiver is milled from a solid piece of steel that is higher quality than the Remington's (China doesn't have any pesky EPA laws;)). IAC and Remington are owned by the same parent company so they share designs and the IAC/H&R are nearly identical to the 870. The H&R Pardner Pump has a slightly different receiver profile with the little hump in the back but the IAC is identical to the 870. The internals and trigger guards are all steel unlike some of the 870 models. They will take all 870 accessories and parts except for 870 barrels and some fore-ends. You can get an 870 barrel work but you will have to file a bit on the lug of the 870 barrel to get it to fit the IAC/H&R receiver. They are heavier guns than the 870 but in shotgun that's not a terrible thing. I will be getting another one shortly as I really like them. I am planning on getting one of the Bullpup Unlimited stocks for one. :)

A lot of new shooters tend to get 9's, the military is using a lot of 9 (wars and conflicts), and people don't shoot .40 in the same quanities as the other calibers. Keep in mind that nearly as many PD deparments use 9mm as they do .40 so that isn't so much a consideration. We also sold a lot of 9mm M&P's in the middle east and we are sending ammo to them as well. Supply and demand. That being said the 9mm I've seen has been lower price (as usual) than the .40. Just like always.

Yes, it mounts to a rail. As to the OP the AFG doesn't really do anything for the AK. Use a stubby grip or even the Magpul forward grip. They are short enough not to have problems.

It's a metric M6x100. As far as length you don't need a long one, 1 in. usually works for those.
