  1. While I agree the SG doesn't have the best conflict resolution, I find it interesting that many of the comments are directed negatively at him. At least he's taking a stand and doing something. I doubt many of us would even take that job, much less actually confront these animals.   IMO this is a great example of what is wrong with society. The guy trying to do something is the villain for how he does it and the degenerates are excused and dismissed. Kinda like gun owners in general and especially in cases of self defense shootings.
  2. You know if more people in our communities enforced societal standards of decency there would be a lot less of this non sense. Police and the government are the worst at accountability.  That's why an armed society IS a polite society.
  3. Some of the MAK90's actually have a rivet that sticks down from the inside of the receiver into the mag catch area and causes the issue. On most of them, simply file off the rivet end above the mag catch and you are done. Sometimes they will just break off if you punch them. You shouldn't need a bullet guide or filing on the mag catch. Very easy.
  4. I have a NiB bolt carrier group coming. I hope. Ordered two weeks ago. I'll let everyone know when I know something.
  5. Don't get excited. It just means they may get the other "clip" bans and private sales through easier. ;)
  6. Spent a month there living in huts with Kenyans and yes .... they are smelly. Kinda like camp fire, mixed with dirty animals, mixed with dirt, with a sprinkle of body odor. ;) Thing is you don't realize how bad YOU smell till you get home and unpack your bag!
  7. Hebrews actually had pretty good hygiene. That being said there is a reason middle easterners like "perfumes". Perfumes in ancient times was worth it's weight in gold and in some cases more.
  8. Obama did say if he had a son he'd look like Trayvon. ;)
  9. On the M&P9 fullsize I can go back and forth between the LG and the SM. I prefer the feel of the small grip but the large puts my trigger finger in better position.
  10. Towerclimber! Where the heck have you been! Good to see you back.   Yeah, the Tavor is supposedly shipping. One should be coming through the store on a transfer shortly. Can't wait to play with Charles new baby before him! Ha ha!
  11. We really like Netflix and Hulu (when it was free). Most everything we want to see we can get through netflix. The broadcast channels online sites usually have previously aired episodes you can watch.
  12. If only there were a system of government that made people live "right", made the right choices for them, and set their morals for them ... then the world would be a better place.  :shake:
  13. Found it. http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2010/02/22/20100222guns-gilbert.html?nclick_check=1
  14. Wasn't he transporting guns (some class 3) into California and selling them?
  15. As far as AR's go any of the name brands will serve you well. Stay away from Olympic, Hess/Blackthorne, and deal thats sound too good to be true.   As far as the AK "vacuum thingy", that is only the sound of 7.62 bullets being sucked from the magazine and down the barrel. ;)
  16. No. He is a foreign combatant and should have been tried in a military tribunal. In a civilian court he is being treated as an American citizen and given all the rights thereof.
  17. We took our kids when they were babies and taught them to swim. You just blow in their face and push them through like a torpedo and they will hold their breath and pop up smiling. Heck, they spent their first 9 months swimming. The earlier you start the easier it is to teach them.
  18. LOVE it. I tried all the ones you listed plus the MFT and the CAA grips. The MD Arms Molot grip is by far my favorite. Those who have held it like it as well.   BTT - Century raised their dealer prices. These things keep going up.

    Bulk AR lowers?

If you are serious you Will not find more anyone that will even sell you more than one or two lowers at a time if and when they get them in. Most are back-ordered, have buy limits, or are extremely high priced. There is absolutely no bargaining power in your favor for a "bulk buy". Right now dealers can't even get 10 lowers in one order (stripped or otherwise) and unless you have 10 LPK's laying around you will find the same difficulty there as well. You haven't mentioned uppers, but same problem there.   If you are truly serious wait till later in the summer and I think you will find what you are looking for but right now ... not even if you were willing to pay the current $300 a piece for a stripped lower.

    Bulk AR lowers?

    Are you serious?
  21. IMO, a SBR 5.56 is odd. You drop so much velocity when you get under 16" that you might as well have a high velocity .22 mag. No offense to those that like them. The x39 in a SBR makes so much sense they devoloped the .300 blackout for AR's :) Here's a pretty good comparison of the lengths: 16" - 2309 FPS 12.5" - 2075 FPS (Draco) 10.25" - 1940 FPS. (M92) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbgAh9-sCDQ&feature=player_embedded#!
  22. Pretty easy on an M92 or Draco. Drill and tap two holes and you can put any of the ACE style stocks directly on it. It's what I did.
  23. Because the 7.62x39 is a fast burning round. It basically maxes out at 16" anyway. IIRC the drop off is only a few hundred FPS from 16" to 12.5/10.25".  Being that it is a 300 yrd round to begin with the velocity drop combined with the .30 cal bullet within the same range means the performance difference is negligible. In the SBR form, it essentially takes it to .300 Blackout range. I'm sure someone will come along and state the stats, but that is the basic rundown.
