  1.   Just asking for details. Don't like committing tight funds to something I haven't seen. I personally think the logo ( Tennessee with the 3 bullet holes) would be pretty cool, but if there is a bunch of script like I've seen on some I don't know. I don't really need or want another lower but thought this would be worthwhile to get a unique good lower and help out the rest of the TGO community.   Sounds like it's going well and I look forward to getting one if things work out.
  2. The Vickers is a great sling. I also like the Magpul sling. A little different but my favorite is the Wilderness Tactical Giles sling. Best I've ever used and I've used it on several different guns.
  3. For those of you having the same issues I've had finding a BCG I just talked to the owner of Tactical Advantage and he confirmed they have about 50. He said they are the m16 heavy style and they are made for their custom builds. I'm going to try one and see how it runs. He did say the shipping times are 7-10 days which I thought were very reasonable after trying to deal with R-Guns. ;) http://store.tacadv5000.com/ar-builds
  4. Just asking for clarification on the details.   Where are these other sources you speak of? ;)
  5. I'd take one. No offense to David but will there be an option to not have the TGO logo on them? Is it just the graphic or is it the graphic plus inscription?
  6. Woo who! Sent mine SBR paperwork off on 10-17-2012 and it was approved April 5th, 2013! I'll be watching the mailbox like a hawk for the next month!
  7. LCR is hard to beat and I've had a couple. That being said the Taurus 85 UL I have is the one I carry when the M&P is to much.
  8.   ... and it will be billed as a race/religious issue. I bet the UN will try to get involved and assit them against the US bigot. :usa:
  9. Here's a couple pictures of pictures taken from my phone. Not the best but gives you an idea.
  10. Nope. The 10 cent stamp is for the TWRA tax that is in addition to sales tax. When your order online or out of state you are supposed to fill out the proper tax form and send in the correct amount of local and state sales tax to revenue office. That is the law. ;-)
  11. I'll try to get some more.
  12. He hasn't yet, but he has a couple slides he's about to start on.
  13. I'm not huge into engraving, mainly because I don't have any heirloom quality firearms, but seeing how my dad is getting back into his engraving hobby I thought I'd let him do some work on my Rossi 92 .38/.357. My dad has always been a craftsman and has done custom and commissioned pieces (mainly knives) in the past. After getting out of it for quite a few years I gotta say I'm impressed that he could pick it right back up. Pictures don't capture the finer details and make it look kinda flat, but let me just say it is VERY nice work. Enjoy.
  14. I bet you send in your "Use Tax" as well?
  15. Oh come on! You were supposed to wait till I got to play with it! Hope you enjoy it Charles.
  16. Looks like a lighter version of the CorBon DPX. Personally I'd take the DPX for the higher mass in the same form factor. Not sure that the 600 fps difference at the muzzle would make that much difference in a handgun.
  17. I've seen some of the RMJ's and they are phenomenal! That being said I really like the CS Vietnam (Lagana) or better yet the American Tactical Lagana.
  18. If I'm in a movie .... head shot at 50 yrds as I dive through the air while yelling CONTACT! In reality, anywhere that I can and it stops the threat.
  19. Thankfully the Russians have never been known for industrial efficiency.
  20. Keep in mind Brick and mortar stores have to shop around just like the consumer and tun into the same dilemma's and issues the consumer does except they also have the added burden of trying to keep the consumer happy with supply AND cost on the backside of buying. Sometimes prices reflect that same difficulty you find on the retail level that they find on the distributor level. Local stores aren't usually dealing in high volume so prices reflect that. However, local stores do provide you with the convenience of handling guns, helping with warranty and minor gunsmithing issues, and answering MANY questions just to have a gun transfered in so the consumer can save TN sales tax.   Are some places taking advantage of an temporary artificial supply/demand issue ... absolutely, but the free market has a way of dealing with them when the "real" market returns. There will be a needed thinning of the gun store world when this settles by late summer. Those who were fair and worked hard to keep the supply and cost normalized will survive. Those who made a quick buck will be looking at other ways to generate money.
  21. Looks good. I have used the MFT hand guards and they are very nice for the money. Don't have heat shields, but you can get those pretty cheap at K-Var.
  22. Treaties "technically" mean nothing until they signed by the President, make it through congress, and are ratified. It also has to get through the UN. It won't get through congress and it sure won't get ratified as it is unconstitutional on many fronts.   That being said treaties do carry an assumption of compliance until they are ratified. In other words, the ATF and other participating countries would apply the measures until a final disposition is made. Essentially nothing would be imported or exported till this thing is cleared up.
