  1. I find it telling that the quotes from the Majority are feeling and "I think/feel" statements, where the minority are statements based on law and precedent. Interesting. :shake:
  2. Like it says I have some 6.5 Grendel Brass once fired that someone can have if they need it. About 40 cases and I believe all of it is Hornady. PM if interested.
  3. This. OS knows his UPS stuff ;) I've shipped more than a few long guns this way and never had an issue. Handguns are different but long guns are much easier.

    Do You Think So?

What the heck is meant by this? Stated in the negative.      I figured this would happen by the end of the summer. However, it means that while black guns will be dirt cheap there will be an increased demand for parts, accessories and ammo. So I don't see prices in those areas going down.
  5. Fine. It's best to turn the gas system off or remove the op rod. Other than that works just fine.
  6. What Pole said. I thought about a dedicated but then it kind of defeats the purpose of using your "real" AR with cheaper practice ammo. I've used the regular CMMG conversions in everything from a POF to a Del-Ton and never had any issues. Only problems I've ever had are with lead nosed ammo. The soft lead can get jammed every now and then. I've never had issue with jacketed ammo.
  7. I have one. Pm with your details and I'll get it to you.
  8. Thanks for restating my point Hersh. The reason people get upset about government employee compensation is because that compensation is made off my back, taken from my families pocket, and given to someone else. Why should my family get less from the same amount of work, so that a government employee, simply doing his job, can have more.
  9. The pay rate they agreed to when they voluntarily accepted the job. :shake: You expect to get paid MORE for doing the basic requirements of your job? Bonuses are for when you go above and beyond the base requirements and PRODUCE more income than was expected. It's the employers way of saying thank you for doing MORE than your job and expanding the business. Pretty sure none of that applies to the IRS. The idea that you should be rewarded above you agreed upon compensation for meeting the minimal requirements of the job is exactly why government employees are not taken seriously.
  10. You act like a thug, you will be treated like a thug. You act like a hillbilly you will be treated like a hillbilly. You act like a prostitute you will be treated like a prostitute. We live in a society that has told girls their primary identity is in their sexuality and then surprised when they are identified as purely sexual objects. We tell boys that sex is no big deal and then are surprised when they identify sexual objects as no big deal.   Excusing behavior because of unintended consequences is morally corrupt from both sides.   Rape should carry the death penalty. Rape is like murder where the victim gets to live with the crime and the continued threat of their murderer.

    Monarch vs Viper

Looked through both and while they are both great the Vortex is more inline with some of the Nightforce's I've looked through. Great scope.

    Bersa BP9CC OD green

I've been playing with one of these for awhile now and everytime I pick it up I like more and more. If I had a need for another gun I'd probably pick one up.
  13. Nah, I got it. Smilies are not as easy to use on my phone as the computer. ;) I should have added one after my first sentence. Been around here long enough I forget not everyone knows most stuff is tongue in cheek.
  14. Really? Another semantics argument. Yes, a shotgun used properly is a better "defensive" home weapon than an AR. Both can be used for either. Reasons: collateral damage, ease of use, hit probability, safety, etc. In a defensive situation you are already behind the ball because you are reacting. You have lost the edge in nearly every way . A shotgun helps mitigate those factors by reducing target acquisition, less collateral damage possibility, and maximising target hit probability with each trigger pull. Absolutely an AR is better if all those factors are in your favor, thus the reason SWAT teams, military, etc. use them, but that's not what we are talking about.
  15. Bottom line: defense - shotgun, offense - rifle. Back on topic, the basic difference between a Mossberg and Remington 870 is the slide release is in front of the trigger guard on the 870's and their clones. The Mossberg variants have the slide release behind the trigger guard. The 870's also have a cross bolt safety in the trigger guard. The Mossberg's, with the exception of the 88, have a top tang safety. I prefer the Mossberg's because you don't have to change your grip to access the safety or slide release and the safety is very easy to see whether it is on or off while shouldered. However, if you add a pistol grip stock (ala Knoxx stock) the control ergonomics are negated. Thus I have a H&R Pardner Pump with the Knoxx (recoil reducing stock). The Knox stock is great for reducing recoil and making it ready for both me and my wife to use.
  16. Only practical use I could see is to keep it in a BOB for when the world ends. I love the ingenuity, but would be pretty difficult to have to send it back all the time for a new filter.
  17. Cadiz has had these out for a few years now. There are even a few threads about them here. The ATF has already had their say and there is nothing wrong with them. Cadiz sells them NFA serialized for suppressor use and non-serialized for solvent trap purposes. The serialized pieces are larger and cover the holes in the filter. You also have to send it back to Cadiz for a new filter per ATF rules  when the existing one is used up. All in all not bad for an $85 suppressor.
  18. The bike will go fast, the beard will slow you down. ;) VERY nice setup there.
  19. Why he saluted is not all that important. He showed respect and honor which is what both the military salute and heart salute are about. He gets the idea and that is more important than being legalistic, one of our societies biggest problems. Good job kid and I have to say made me smile.
  20. Ooooh! That's nice!
  21. Having a meeting on it means that they have already decided that it will be policy. The meeting is to gauge negative response. This is a done deal IMO, once you venture off the Constitution and make law by VERY loose interpretation using policies then it is already here.
  22. If the weight of an AR is an issue nothing you mentioned would be any better. Getting a lightweight barrel will save more weight than anything and then just be picky with your furniture. The Magpul HG's work great and are light. 300 blk out would be great in an SBR or you can stay with 5.56 with a longer lightweight barrel.
  23. I have to agree with you on this Robert. Part of the sin is acting on a sinful impulse or idea. I have no doubts that there are some "born" gay, but that doesn't mean they should act on those impulses. In the same way many are born with attractions to alcohol and drug addiction doesn't mean that we condone it because they were "born" that way and make special laws just for them.   Homosexuality is a sin in the same vein as gluttony (my issue), stealing, murder, covetousness, ...... and like you Robert I am saddened that we can be selective in our application of "righteousness", however as I have said many times before - one human's sin cannot be a justification for someone else's sin.   If sin is relative then, yes, uneven application matters, but if truth is absolute then uneven application is irrelevant.  It's like when my daughter tries to justify why she hit her brother, because he made her mad. They're both wrong.
  24. Never thought of chalkboard paint. Good idea. I've used BBQ rattle can on plenty of AK's and it works well. Gunrunner32 does excellent work and takes work through D&T, but he is out of country through June.
