  1.   This warning comes up about once or twice a year and has since the beginning. It will cool down for awhile then when enough new people join up that missed the last cycle the mods or David (as it used to be) will send out another reminder. It truly isn't a new thing or a personally directed thing.     Eh, there are just as many guys that defend them as bash them ... if not more. Cops have thicker skin than that, I hope. Heck, I see as much God bashing as cop bashing but believers haven't left. Cops like other folks may just not post like they used too. I used to post like crazy. Especially if it was something I was passionate about. I was even ahead of some of those super poster guys, but found it better to leave somethings alone for my own sanity. ;)
  2. Went and shot mine today. Love it. I will say of the three FS 9mm's I've had the first one i got had an awesome factory trigger. I don't know what they did to that early one but it was GREAT right out of the box. Felt just like my Apex one now. Second one I got, felt like it was pulling across sandpaper. Just like the negative reviews I had read about. Apex Kit fixed that. My current one had a fairly good trigger out of the box. Felt a bit "squishy" compared to a Glock. It had a better break but no reset. Apex and RAM kits have made it a wonderful trigger.
  3. I could see that but you would still have to have something over-pressurized inside the pot to explode with that kind of force. IMO   I'm leaning towards some flammable container getting thrown in. When there is a fire there is always someone who wants to see what will happen to random things if they throw them in the fire.
  4.   Kinda ended yours the same way. ;) The libs keep saying it. Just like they keep saying the GOP is alienating Hispanics, blacks, women, the young, and the poor. The only thing being alienated is hard work, personal responsibility, and personal liberty and that is being done by the Dems (mostly).   If people vote against their greater principles for a single position, then I attest they are not conservative in nature to begin with.
  5. Your title is a little odd for a setup, but article is fairly accurate. Reason usually wins out if it can outlast the emotional fervor of the moment. This is why the liberals ( think Obama) don't want budgets, or real solutions. Ass long as there is emotional instability the masses will allow the government more control to easy the fear. Never mind the instability the masses fear is created for that sole purpose. :shake:
  6. Get the V1. More options and it is AK correct. I just don't like the integrated sights. You are pretty much stuck with them.
  7. Nor really. I think it was more of an internet rumbling. The only problems were with slow moving 147g ammo that some of the competition shooters were having with the slow barrel twist. They did tighten up the barrel lock up and changed the twisty rates. I for a newer barrel just because I could, but I never had any problems. I too added the apex kit and their RAM kit. Love it.
  8. While I mostly agree with the intent, I think this is going to be a nightmare to arbitrarily enforce.
  9. Anyone see this proposed legislation yet. Essentially would ban all lowers and receivers unless they are built into guns http://dailycaller.com/2013/08/14/federal-gun-bill-would-ban-ar-15-lower-parts-kits-barrels-and-receivers/
  10. Sam's - donates heavily conservative. Costco - donates heavily liberal. Haha, if that matters to you.
  11. ... or you can go to the gunsmithing section and there is a great step-by-step write up there with pictures. Shooting that thing with that grip will be awkward. Converting it takes about 30 min. with a Dremel and a hand drill and well worth it.
  12. Got rid of cable a couple months ago and run Clear Wireless and Netflix. Couldn't be happier.
  13. Bump. Two brown males left. Just had their first set of de-wormer.
  14. ??? Methinks you didn't actually read my post. I was agreeing with you just as I agree with the above rebuttal of my position that I didn't make. ;)
  15. According to the founding fathers government should support religion but not establish an official religion that is mandated. Been over many times before and some just want to hear what tickles their ears.
  16. First time I saw her in college I knew she was the one. Of course my tactical surveillance and shadowing skills came in handy until she noticed we kept ending up in the same places together. She finally came around and we had a blast through college. Been married 13 years and have 4 kids. Loved every (almost ;)) minute. In regards to marriage I can't wait till the kids get older and I get my time with just her back. As much as I love my kids, she will always be first.

    First AK

Haha! Aresenal's "Game Changer"! Still haven't made up my mind about those, but to be your first you sure did start at the top. Very Nice!
  18. What was his name if you don't mind me asking. I had a friend who just passed that fits that description. He was the kind of man I hope to be if I am fortunate enough to live half as long. His name was Bob Gardner.
  19. Hey, give it a couple months and then we can meet up for the counseling session! Gun stores can be odd places to work sometimes. You will get a WIDE range of customer types that you generally don't get anywhere else. It's truly a special place. ;) Enjoy the fun!

    AK 47 furniture

There was a guy (can't remember where I saw it) that took a dong HG and carved reliefs for his hand and fingers to fit in that looked really cool and functional. I'd prefer that over the above.
  21. Yes Actually I have 3 brown males left. All looks nearly identical.
  22. Actually, probably not. When I had my wreck I was told at the hospital that only two healthcare plans in tn cover vehicle accidents. They rely on the auto insurance to cover mechanical since it is mandatory in tn.
  23. While its nice to believe they can't make it without us, they don't need us. An abandoned dog usually ends up making it by resorting to is natural instincts. That being said its a nice relationship that a dog has with a human being.
  24. While I have perfect pups for your home, in response to your original question a Great Pyrenees would be perfect. Get them young and when they identify with your family, nothing without your permission will come on your property or around your kids. You will never have coyote problems and once they locate, they will never leave their perimeter. They have heavy coats but it works to keep them cool in the summer and they love being outdoors in the coldest weather we could possibly get in middle Tennessee. Absolutely great dog for your situation.
