  1. Picked this up today and wow! Is it twice as much as the most expensive knife I've ever bought? Yep. Is it awesome? Yep. Would I do it again? Absolutely! Everything it was promised to be plus some. Thanks Willis68!
  2. Keep in mind Ruger oversold the last few years. They blew past their sales goal by a large margin and their sales goals were the loftiest they had ever attempted. Probably just a statistical leveling out.
  3. Cherish life. Protect life. Fight for life. Celebrating weakness and even calling it courage, I believe is the result of a society who has their priorities out of order. I understand the girls decision and don't have much issue with it. I have an issue with the celebration and "courage" publicity this women has generated to celebrate what leans to the coward and selfish side of life.
  4. I believe only one of the contractors were using Hungarian parts kits. The others were Bulgarian.
  5. After a little looking, it appears that it is indeed a Arsenal Bulgarian kit built here in the states around 2001 by one of four different contractors. Appear to be very high quality build and somewhat rare.
  6. It's an Arsenal and considered one of the higher level builds. Usually, they went for over 1k new, so it isn't your cheap run of the mill made by a 12 year old AK. You have  a good one. Bulgarian AK's are some of the finest available
  7. Love them. Used them all the time as they make for a very useful and yet minimal way to carry, store, and transport a shotgun. Much prefer them over a normal gun case. Plus you can attach them to a backpack or just about anything else for transportation.
  8. Problem is that's a Red Herring argument to the nth degree. Rape and incest account for less than .05 of 1% of all abortions in the US. Statistically, it doesn't exist. I understand the consideration, but it really doesn't play into the argument. The real argumenet is if we as a nation are comfortable with legally killing millions of children simply because they are an inconvenient consequence of peoples poor choices.
  9. My understanding is that it is very hard to get a mechanism with that action that can handle normal knife stress. So, the $250 range is considered the affordable range for an OTF. Get lower and you can pick those up in the novelty shops in Gatlinburg pretty cheap :).Seems to be all or nothing for OTF knives from what I've seen.
  10. They aren't our of spec per say. Anderson uses a special anti friction coating and it is a bit thicker than standard anodizing. You may even find that the upper is rather fitting especially the rear tab. Once you wear down the coating in those areas it'll fit more like normal. Kinda like it starting tight as posed to loose.
  11. A non-vote is tabulated by the counter as a no vote. It is not registered as a "non-vote". Thus a non vote is automatically a no vote. He wasn't making a subjective equivalence statement. It was an objective statement of procedure.
  12. They can be tight because the finish Anderson uses is a bit thicker than anodizing alone. It will loosen up a bit as it wears.
  13. I guess I should have added that while I am a 9mm guy, I carry a .38 snub revolver. Ideal is a 9mm revolver![emoji6]
  14. 9mm is a better round than .38spl. People like to compare the because they are the same diameter, but there really isn't a comparison in standard loads.

    Hi Powers

Love hi-powers. My first gun was a FEG HJK-9HP. Nearly identical clone of a Browning/FN for a lot less. Great shooter and if you come by one for around 300 you can't go wrong. I've had my share of Browning s and FN's and I always felt bad shooting them and carrying them because they were too nice. The FEG our Argentinean copies solve that issue and are functionally great.
  16. Yep, have one of the best warranties that don't exist!
  17. I thought in TN the attorney General appoints judges (at least sc) without oversight. My understanding was that this amendment gives us more control because the legislature can check appointees, much like in the federal level.
  18. She was a great friend of my wife and kids. Rocked my kids, especially my youngest, many times in the nursery. Great, great lady. She will be missed.
  19. I used the Levang on the MSAR's I had because they were so loud. Really helped get the sound down range. Kinda worked like a reverse suppressor :). Made the recoil a little more pronounced but it was linear and had very little muzzle rise or twist. Really liked them in that application. That being said I tried a knockoff on an AR and didn't like it at all. However, I think that had more to do with the poor design of the knockoff than the principle of a linear comp. The KX3 is an expensive version of the Krink booster and those do work well. They aren't so much linear comps as they are mini cans.
  20. A lot of P99 holsters will fit the PPQ. Can't beat the Garrett Holsters. Pricey, but the only holster I've had that I couldn't find something I disliked about it. http://www.giholsters.com/belt-holsters-owb/
  21. Good choice on the damage brake. Great brake at a better price. The SLR is slightly shorter IIRC.
  22. Actually like the saiga forearm in that. It'd look good and function better with a Manticore Nightbrake or a SLR brake http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=94&product_id=57
  23. So, I was right all along Mr. Rightwinger! =-O
