  1. Look at CDNN. They are selling some Colts and Bushmaster's for about the best prices I've seen. http://www.cdnninvestments.com
  2. Then you're golden! Sam Hoster would do an excellent job for you. http://legallyarmed.com/complete.htm
  3. I'd be prepared to be even more patient. Evidently the internet guys were very busy industry wide. Mix that with the fact that those folks have family and time off mixed in and the shipping delays due to closings ... it may take a minute to get those orders processed, shipped, and to your door.
  4. That's because ammonia will neutralize the salt, but it won't remove it unless you use enough to actually wash it out. That is why it's a good idea to wash out the salt with soapy water even after Windex. You may have not neutralized all the salt. Btw - not all Windex has ammonia in it. ;-)
  5. I wouldn't do that with an m&p10. It's a thin barrel and there isn't enough material to thread. That's why the factory barrel flares at the end for the fh. Also the m&p uses a proprietary barrel so if it gets messed up, you're out of luck.
  6. Evidently, PRI is closing out their ribbed/waffle version mags and coming out with a gen 2(?). You can get the old waffle ones relatively cheap right now. On the 6.8 forums folks really like the ASC mags. I also picked up some D&H mags really cheap at PSA and they work well. Heavy but good none the less.
  7. Being that I loathe the 5.56, I've had several 6.8's going all the way back to the Kotonics days. Ended up selling them because I didn't reload and SSA was they only ammo maker and they were always out. You can't go wrong with the Bison or ARP barrels and bolts. I just built another one since you can actually get factory ammo and they have figured out how to make mags work. I have yet to find anything negative about 6.8.
  8.   You got to be kidding me! I was pretty happy with the $99 deal.
  9. Lots of guys with 6.8's use them as low cost alternatives to the PRI's and I've yet to hear a bad thing about them. Seen to be very reliable. I would assume the standard 5.56 versions would be the same.
  10. Yeah, I put mine on a 6.8. Very happy with it, especially considering the cost.
  11. Windex with ammonia is good at buying you more time, but you still have to wash with soapy water..
  12. Yeah, I had gotten a 1-4 and then saw this popup. Very good deal!
  13. I run two Roku 3's in our house as the only TV source and we use about what Comcast allows. It runs pretty much all the time and we aren't worried about HD or anything like that. I am more than pleased with what it is compared to paying for any other TV sourcing.
  14. It's not new technology. HK did very well with the P7. It was just one of those things ahead of its time. The drawback is that it gets very hot with volume shooting since the gases stay more it less in the slide. That being said, it's not designed as a high volume combat gun.
  15. It very well could an issue, but it could also be several other things related to the bullets and not the barrels. Pictures of the barrels would clarify a lot.
  16.   "so why couldn't TN also save folks 10 bucks a pop."     Haha! I couldn't get past that part. Government has never been about saving people money. The whole TN system is set up to make money. They found a way to charge $10 by bein g amiddle man in a free system from the NICS as it is.
  17. If the barrel face is breaking apart the pictures can be taken at the end of the day. They also had time to take pictures of the targets, why not the barrel at the same time?
  18. Grand Jury Indictments came down yesterday. http://www.nola.com/crime/baton-rouge/index.ssf/2014/12/former_sons_of_guns_star_will.html
  19. That was a twist rate decision. They early ones occasionally had problems with 147g bullets. They changed the twist rate a couple years ago and have had no complaints.
  20. Probably, but the TBI gathers info and the DA directs how that info is used. Best learn their places.

    AR lowers

How about $30? Rguns is selling Delware lowers atm for $30. Evidently Delware was a machining company that was trying to make some extra cash in the gun craze and made a bunch of lowers. It ddidn't save them and they went under. Rguns got most of their stock.
  22. Watching the videos on those is just impressive. The designers bolt action .308 moves like a .22 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA68IQSC2rM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEX4VUaZSDk
  23. Search for "Honey Badger AR" and you will find all the details you could want. ;) https://www.google.com/search?q=honey+badger+ar&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=qBOOVLyONs30aOK-gYAJ&ved=0CB0QsAQ
  24. Yeah, I copied it from here to the 68 forum in response to a similar question about brakes. Full circle! :-)
