  1. Evidently, he's that guy. [emoji6]
  2. TDR I have several. I can get one to you. Just PM
  3.   For the same reason they don't quit selling all music and videos. There are books they don't carry but they don't quite carrying all books. They sell clothes that some drug dealers wear but they don't quite selling clothes. They sell food that wife abusers, child molesters, killers, and all sorts of vermin probably eat, but they haven't stopped selling food.   The "rational logic" some people use is beyond my level evidently.
  4.     I wish people would quit with this commonly espoused opinion. If it were true then we would be losing ground. The incredible leaps forward we that have been made in the recent past tells an entirely different story.    That being said, there's always some idiots on every side of an issue. Dismiss them and let their own stupidity deal with them.
  5. Here's a complimentary blog from the same place about what actual pro's use in competition. http://precisionrifleblog.com/2014/10/24/best-tactical-scopes-what-the-pros-use/
  6. Same reason people would pick a 6 cylinder over a 4 cylinder. Both will get you down the road, but there is a quantifiable difference between te two.
  7. Why, I got my two to help me shoot the AR and PAP with one hand easier. On a side not when will they apply this to the AFG? What about the Thorsdon? That is designed to use the check as a support. Does your face alert it's use?
  8. This is so poorly written and legally ambiguous that it is worthless. Now, when and if it is challenged the courts may allow them to rewrite the language using their guidance like they did with Obamacare. I'm just still amazed that after all this time, the ATF couldn't write a better thought out argument.
  9. I liked his response, if not overly lengthy. I still think the issue is how serious he is taken by what equates to "fantasy camp warriors" on this side of the pond. People get overly serious about something that might be a one in a million situation and dedicate their lives to it. He's not teaching combat techniques to combat fighters, and it's nice to see that reality.. To see him be a normal goofy American, is in some ways a nice leveling.    Training is great and skill proficiency is important, but perspective is probably the most neglected skill we develop. He makes bank teaching "fantasy camp" and good for him, but it shouldn't be a surprise when that realization is recognized.    Think of it this way. Rocket scientists created the nuclear bomb and sent men to the moon using fundamental science. That doesn' mean that every high school science teacher is a rocket scientist. ;)
  10. This. The ACE hinge was the first and for a long time only option. The Stormwerkz is indeed a better option than the ACE.
  11. But it was 10,000 rounds in very short period of time. ;)
  12. He must have learned dialogue from Nutnfancy. Added a good 7 minutes of yapping to what was an otherwise great video.
  13. No. Law Tactical makes the only hinge/buffer tube that works with an AR (that I know of).http://www.lawtactical.com/
  14. Hardly and accurate comparison. More like an automatic drive and a standard drive. I love semi-autos, but there are some situations where a revolver is hard to beat. It's not an old verses new thing, It's more of a tool for the job thing.
  15. It's hard to look this tactical with a revolver ;)
  16. Ah, the smartest dumb people are at it again. Proof yet again that degrees and title's men less nothing. To borrow a thought from the "Princess Bride" - "I do not think that means what you think it means." ;)
  17. This solves all the problems I've been having during my combat situations. Well, except for my tactical vest getting dirty when I dive and roll while yelling "Contact!" in my backyard.
  18. Of course not, the Glock he was press checking did. Just further proves how dangerous Glock's or any polymer semi-auto is  ... if you ask him.;)
  19. What about the two guys filming and refereeing to get it started then jump in with indignation when "he" crossed the line. Just so many things upside down in that video to even be able to rationally analyze a right or wrong.
  20. I can attest from more than a few first-hand accounts that this is in fact, not a myth. Given certain circumstances, the sound of a shotgun racking is a very effective deterrent. Not so much in an immediate attack scenario but in an escalating situation it works more times than not.   But yes, having worked in a gun store for some years .... there are many MANY popular myths out there.
  21. I think someone's about to find out how many guns someone actually has ;-)

    9mm AR?

Well I ended up getting a Spikes mag block and the upper and bolt from Tactical Ambush. I've had good experience with their 308 barrel and parts so I figured I'd give them another shot. Plus their bolt is ramped and the NiB price was pretty decent. I'll let you know how it runs when everything gets here.

    9mm AR?

Yeah, that's what has me a bit cautious as well. Non ramped and standard hammer aren't compatible, from what I've read.

    9mm AR?

Well, from what I can gather it is plug and play like any other AR upper. The only real issues is when you want to use Glock mags and then you have to have a special lower to get the angle right, a special bolt carrier to clear the mag, and a special hammer that works with the above. Does anyone know if there is any difference in mag brands? I can find c-products for under $14 and colt/modified Uzi mags for up to $45+. I don't count the Promags ;-) Do the PSA mag adapters have a lrbho?
