  1. Funny how justice for a brutal murder is a quiet and painless shot in the arm these days. If only their victims had that luxury. Good to see someone do the right thing - Government and the guilty.
  2. I know how you feel. Last week some one broke in to our mini-van in the driveway and stole a portable DVD player. I must have scared them off as I came out to leave for work. Nothing major, but annoying. The funny thing is they didn't take my wallet I had accidentally left in there. They also took a diaper bag that had my wifes DL license and stuff which we later got in the mail. I also, had my church broken into twice in the same day in broad daylight (around 11ish). They broke in a window, set off the alarm, did some damage and left. they never got all the way in, so later that afternoon, about an hour after I and the police left, they tried again. I hate thieves!
  3. I got lost of tin foil. I can share if anyone one is unprotected.
  4. Saw this on another site. Here is a great 1960's m16 instructional video. About midway through, they show a cutaway model and describe all aspects of the mechanics. Very good for a new AR owner like myself. http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/m16/video/xtwsd_m16-operation-film
  5. Academy of Self Protection in Joelton (academyofselfprotection.com) "had" a bunch not too long ago and they are open late. Academy Sports has the Academy brand (Barnaul) cheaper than anywhere else I can find.
  6. That is reasonable to me. A gun is a gun regardless of it's mechanics IMO. Besides how can we defend ourselves against a government that we can't a least match gun for gun? Kinda like the Indians can only have bows, while the US Calvary use Gatling's. My point was the NRA guy was trying to be reasonable. It is reasonable , IMO, to limit auto's more tightly than others. The current system, however, goes way to far.
  7. For $300? I would get another Kel-Tec 9mm. More concealable, easier to use, and a whole lot more affective. Besides, even with ammo being pricy, I could sure practice a lot more with $.15 ammo than $4+ ammo!
  8. I agree with everyone else on this one as far as restrictions and the RTBA. The problem is we tend to be reasonable about Class III stuff, where the other side is never reasonable. It's like trying to reason with a spoiled brat kid. No middle ground is acceptable and they will fight, scream, and make life miserable till YOU give in to a 100% of their demands. You can learn so much about government and liberals from kids.
  9. Good choice on the XD. I have the Service 9. +1 to taking the class early and then send your XD to springerprecision.com to have him make the trigger SWEET! It'll take about 3 days from ship to delivery!
  10. Without knowing the situation it's hard to say, but I would never agree to any kind of legal binding permanent order. It just allows too many ambiguities to be placed in a negative context in the future. Good luck on this one.
  11. I think the so-called "perception" of liberalism is in fact accurate. This is backed by the teacher unions, rantings of numerous professors, statements of many University's in response to political & social issues, ratio of appearances of political activist and speakers, & not to mention the whole makeup of the public school system from K-post grad. To say it is not is like my History professors many attempts to rewrite the historical perspective. Not all are this way, but even a 60% to 40% (being very gracious IMO)ratio is a heavily out-weighted scale. I just wish we could all admit the reality of this issue and move on. Colleges will also lean left and conservatives will continue to be born out of their ignorance of practical application. It's a win/win:)
  12. If I saw you like that, I would just assume you finally snapped and shoot you myself!

    Colt AR-15s

Armalite sold the AR10 and AR15 designations to Colt. Colt fought for the M4 designation in court, but lost.

    Colt AR-15s

If you ask Colt they are the only ones to make AR's. Everyone else are making some off brand clone.
  15. that is some funny stuff LOL!
  16. Not that I wouldn't want to make a government comment here, but he probably got that hat at the Mall Ninja beginner store....the local gas station.

    semi-auto rifle poll

Own a AK-103 converted from a Saiga and am currently building an AR. The AK is the best for all round stuff. The AR for accuracy and special purposes. IMO
  18. Baboons, Grant's Zebra's, and Dik-Dik's. On a trip to Kenya. No guns, just poisoned tipped arrows. It was very much a cave man moment with the Masi tribe.
  19. I got my first lower and it went pretty well up until I got to the bolt catch roll pin. Come to find out I got a freak lower that did not have both tabs drilled! I spent a lot of time before realizing the issue. Manufacturer took care of it so it's not really an issue. Other than the occasional freak situation it is very easy.
  20. but Rabbi, no one will see their good work that way!
  21. No it is not a personal carry permit and will not function as such. You can take it in conjunction with your HCP, but you will have to take the other half of the course and the shooting requirements will be that of the armed guard class.
  22. As one who has worked door to door in several capacities, don't be too quick to jump the gun. There are some folks honestly trying to make a living and then those who scam off there backs. Most of them are legit, a few aren't. Be careful, but be nice in case it is one of the decent hard working ones.

    Carry Pistol

Ever thought about the XDSC using 9mm +P? Ballistically the same as 357. It will fit in your hand and not break your bank. If you insist on 357 the service is not that big. I carry mine daily.
  24. Guns and Leather have moving targets. you can see a demo at their site http://gunsandleather.com/
