  1. If they do it like metro, they will put you in a sealed bus or bunker and throw a canister in there, so it's not as bad as having the spray directly on you.
  2. I've grown fond of jam nuts for just this reason. Keep several on hand. I have some for your 5/8x24 if you need one. Just pm me.
  3. I got behind one of those fellows yesterday in old hickory. It was actually a Mercury, so I guess it counted.
  4. Dolomite is correct about needing an FFL if the gun is left overnight for business purposes.
  5. My first gun! Loved that thing and regret selling it. Keep in mind that you'll also have to refinish the gun after milling for the front sight.
  6. I'd have to add Phil Keaggy. Acoustically, there aren't many better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3iSiij98VY   and you can't get much more technically perfect playing than Eric Johnson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15eu7ar5EKM
  7. Yes, they can audit at any time, but they can not take, reproduce, keep, or copy any information unless they have a warrant .... by law. They will tell you different, but it is illegal. Try to enforce that. Just ask Ares Armor. They can only check/audit for FFL clerical compliance
  8. BY federal law they can not digitally document them. However, Reno was caught doing it. Supposedly they destroyed her "secret" records. :ugh:
  9. How can that be? Everything I've seen says 9mm maxes out velocity wise around 10"-11". After that the gain is negligible and starts scrubbing speed around 16" and up. Even thought I read in another thread that at 10+", a factory subsonic load will go super sonic(?) One reason I went with a 10.5"
  10. He's called the Mad Drummer and plays in a super wedding band. Just look up Mad Drummer. Worth the time.
  11. So far, 25 yrds. It's more of a super fast illuminated iron sight as opposed to an optic, which is exactly what I wanted. I can rapid fire accurately with this far better than I can iron sights, and I don't lose my peripheral vision like with iron sights.

    9mm AR?

Wayne, just let me know if you want to take it out and run some rounds through it. You'll end up with one.
  13. Oooh! Got it built out of all the Black Friday specials! Put together for under $600 as well! Had to tweak the mag lips on the ACS mags. The right side of the mag lips were too tall and the rim extended too far into the mag body for my setup. After filing them down, they all worked great. Looking at the Metalform mags, I don't think they would have that issue on this build. Ran a bunch of rounds through it today and all I can say is WOW! What a fun gun. Picked up a See All sight and it works great for this gun. I had used one in the past on a shotgun and liked the idea, and for this gun it was a great fit. I could do without the banner on the side, but it's a small issue. Very tame recoil, accurate, light, fun, and it's a pistol. BTW - the Sig brace was very comfortable on my arm ;) Tactical Ambush 10.5" Barrel and NiB Bolt, UTG Slim Pro 9" HG, Delware Ind. Lower, New Frontier slick side billet upper, RRA 9mm buffer and spring, Spikes mag block, Spikes buffer spacer, & Ebay FH

  15. Another good option to the Hi-Power - if you come across an FEG PJK-9HP snatch it up. You can usually find them under $400 and they are Hungarian clones of the HP and in some cases are a bit better. Not as polished but nearly every part is interchangeable with the HP.
  16. Hi-power all the way. The CZ is patterned after the hi-power, so there is a lot going for it in that regard. Even the cz clones are excellent choices for less money. Kinda like a Rock Island 1911 compared to a colt. IMO - the 92 is a huge step in another direction ... Away from the good ergonomics, trigger, and adjustability of the HP and CZ's. Kinda like comparing a Pontiac Fiero to a Ferrari.
  17. Evidently, he's that guy. [emoji6]
  18. TDR I have several. I can get one to you. Just PM
  19.   For the same reason they don't quit selling all music and videos. There are books they don't carry but they don't quite carrying all books. They sell clothes that some drug dealers wear but they don't quite selling clothes. They sell food that wife abusers, child molesters, killers, and all sorts of vermin probably eat, but they haven't stopped selling food.   The "rational logic" some people use is beyond my level evidently.
  20.     I wish people would quit with this commonly espoused opinion. If it were true then we would be losing ground. The incredible leaps forward we that have been made in the recent past tells an entirely different story.    That being said, there's always some idiots on every side of an issue. Dismiss them and let their own stupidity deal with them.
  21. Here's a complimentary blog from the same place about what actual pro's use in competition. http://precisionrifleblog.com/2014/10/24/best-tactical-scopes-what-the-pros-use/
  22. Same reason people would pick a 6 cylinder over a 4 cylinder. Both will get you down the road, but there is a quantifiable difference between te two.
