  1. I was hoping that thing would get missed until my taxes get done! Oh, well maybe Rabbi can get another. Very nice.
  2. Actually I've been there on some medical mission trips. We based out of Kisumu. Not to say it isn't significant, but 300 is about the whole town. It is literally in the middle of nowhere and there isn't much any outside force can do. They would just flee to the Serengeti or Tanzania. Elections over there are pretty messed up to begin with. Kenya is very nomadic and tribal. They do not understand Nationalism at all. Who ever wins the election is loyal to his tribe and everyone else gets squat .....or genocide. In fact on a trip in 2000, they had just had elections. The former President went into the treasury and printed up about 2 million dollars and paid people to vote for him. He won reelection, but the exchange rate went from 1:7 to 1:210 US. bad for Kenya great for tourist. They just don't understand government. They are basically stone age peoples forced into the 20th century. They are resisting.

When did the glocksters:koolaid: start getting here?
  4. Only problem with that is that starting in 2008 there will not be anymore over-the-air programming. It will all have to go through one of the major suppliers. Ain't it great!
  5. I just submitted my app and forms. my question is what can I expect and is there anything I need to do in the meantime - other than get in shape? I'm really excited about the whole thing except for one thing - I'll have to carry a *lock!
  6. If they got service through a third party vendor then they probably got a bad receiver, that would be install. It happens, though Dish usually get's you a new one within a day or two. Something isn't right with your parents setup. hope they get it resolved.
  7. There were some JAG rulings on this not too long ago and the military was adamant about not allowing our guys to use HP. It has nothing to do with humane treatment, rather a desire to inflict more damage with a single bullet. A .223 may pass through and hit one or two more combatants thus increasing the effectiveness of the shot. And as stated before you occupy at least 3 guys with a wounded soldier and only one with a dead one, the dead one.
  8. Basically if it is chrome lined - shoot it a lot!. If it's unlined, you may want to do the three shots - clean and repeat a few times to smooth out any rough areas.

XD. I also had to choose a while back and I went with the XD. It was easy after handling them side by side.
  10. Problems people have with Dish or Direct have to do with install issues. The only time it should go out is the same time Comcast does. Remember Comcast is satellite also. They just have one big one and then run it on lines to your house. Coincidentally that is also why the picture tends to not be as good.
  11. I used to sell for Comcast, then DirectTV, and then Dish Network. Basically for the money, Dish Network can't be beat, followed by Direct and then Comcast. However as stated earlier, tell them you are going to cancel and they will throw all sorts of offers your way. Just don take the first offer. The usually let you bid your services when they get desperate. Remember Comcast needs to maintain about $78 per customer, so you canusually get close to that - if you play the game right. Also, if you don't mind playing their games - switch between all three of them taking advantage of their switching offers every two years or so and you can really get great deals. Keep in mind to ask for every discount you can get or they won't offer them. Act hesitant and make them give you a reason to use their service. The only loyalty you need is to your bank account, because all of them will screw you the first chance they get.

Now where was the Mall Ninja poll at?:)
  13. Anybody used or heard any feedback on the Galco X-Project holster. I know it's kydex, but looks like it might work and be pretty comfortable under the shirt. Just a thought.
  14. The 9mm is called the Browning High Power. The refined and "perfected" 1911, according to Mr. Browning.
  15. I think that's why they put mall "bus" pass in there! Hey Canyn, I know MOA has something to do with accuracy, but I have no idea practically what it means either. I just leave it up to the Mall ninja's out there to discuss it in great detail as if it's common knowledge and universally understood...like proper grip for throwing stars!
  16. what's wrong with Ar15.com? I found great info there. lot's of good info about body armor, lasers, and tacticool stuff. An even better source is glocktalk.com!
  17. Not to hijack, but has anyone noticed how the chatter is picking up on caseless, electronic ignition stuff? CSI-Miami had an episode the other night about "the Vaporizer", and "Weoponology" had a show on them. I've read a few articles and have seen a few other shows mentioning this kinda stuff, but I can't remember where. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me.
  18. 35%, but a lot of the questions didn't have my choices. I'm no mall ninja, but where was Chuck Norris, night vision, and sword questions? Then we could have had some truthful info! Please note sarcasm!
  19. Nice piece. I like the idea, but I don't think the 1911 is the end all, be all:eek:. I'm sure some great American(hopefully American, although with all the lawsuit stuff probably not:rolleyes:) will find a way to reinvent the wheel (no Rabbi, not the "wheel" gun. That design is dead:D). And the next John Browning is............ Can't wait to see.

    Kel-Tec .40?

Nothing was wrong with the gun itself. Customers kept returning them claiming jams and misfires, only to find out it was the shooter limp-wristing them. They were so light weight that you needed a firm grip to hold them steady especially with the added pop of .40. It just wasn't worth the hassle for Kel-tec.
  21. You are correct sir. My understanding that when registered as NFA (for whatever reason) they need to stay together to be safe.
  22. It gets complicated, but essentially the registered lower can only be used with the SB upper or any LB upper. However if you have an unregistered upper sitting next to a registered lower, legally they can get you. The safest way is to have a SB and leave it alone.

    Kel-Tec .40?

Just don't limp wrist it and it'll do.

  25. The new one is MUCH better!
