Are they? That's interesting, because as soon as this came up in the thread about LE carry restrictions being lifted, the cry was there wasn't any difference between LE and "civilians". Seems to be a standard we want to apply only when it works for us.

You know we all get bent out of shape (and rightly so) when a HCP holder acts like a moron and makes us all look bad, and we defend the fact that most HCP are not the same. Why does that not apply to Police? Sure some are stupid, arrogant, bullies, whatever, but that is the minority. It seems that we have accepted the premise that police are inherently corrupt and these few and far between exapmles are simply evidence of what we already know. I reject that premise and believe that these rare examples are just that, rare (statistically speaking) anomalies.

And if Africa wasn't so polluted with aids, famine, genocide, and everything else they got, billions of our dollars would stay here to fix all our other issues. We aren't Mexico, or Africa, or any other nation. We can't and shouldn't fix other nations that we can't. I'm no isolationist, but Mexico is the way it is for a reason and I don't think our money is going to fix them.

What gets overlooked is that HGH and many other "performance enhancers" weren't banned by MLB when these guys and others took them. Add to that that many of these same "drugs" aren't even illegal. It is a blatant example of the do nothing, look busy, find a process crime, congressional incompetency. The stuff they took wasn't illegal, MLB didn't ban it, so what's the issue? I know, I know, it's all about the kids! Should they have done it? That's their decision, I for one don't like it. Should it be addressed? Absolutely, but not by the government.

You are all gun crazy. A responsible person would try to talk to the attacker until they were friends or as a last resort shoot him in the arm or leg. That would allow appropriate time for the only "truly" qualified gun handlers, the police, to respond.

That was a great example of taking a stance on an issue without taking one. He's for it, but against it. It's a right, but government can control it as much as they want. They have proven to be inferior to some of the new stuff. They were state of the art 20 years ago, just haven't been able to keep up with technology. The main knock on them is in denim test. They tend to clog and never expand. If you shot a naked human they work great!

I read some of the fellow sites about the subject matter and the places they were talking about were former WWII camps (Italians and German prisoners) and military bases - like FT Campbell. To speculate that we have ready to concentration camps because of these.....don't buy it. Most of these had pictures of the "evil" Ashcroft overseeing mass extermination. I also like the part were they described the gas lines running through every part of the buildings ending in to newly installed giant furnaces! BTW - to answer the question...emphatically YES!

I think the fact that these kinda things are not getting totally ignored anymore is a sign in a different direction. Think back to the "Cool Hand Luke" days. What gives the 9 it's effectiveness is velocity. That's why 115g tend to be the best. NATO locked into the 124g (in ball) because it was a compromise between speed and size, also why it is inferior to .45 in ball ammo in combat situations. 115g - too small a hole and 147 - too slow. Size is not as important in modern defensive, expanding loads. The faster a 9mm goes the better expansion you will get. This is what puts it on par with any caliber, yes even the .45, in effectiveness - speed and expansion. I go with a 124g +p Ranger or HST for that very reason. HST,Ranger=great expansion. +p=velocity, 124g=size Now if your talking ball ammo....give that one to the .45 guys.

Never say Gun. Tell them it is machined gun parts. They will ask if it is a functioning gun, say no. Take the firing pin or some easy to remove part, ie the slide or barrel, and ship it seperatly. Only the serial number frame has to be overnight. I've never had a problem with UPS that way.
