  1. Looks a little hokey, but the mall ninja (Angelina Jolie may have some to do with it:D) in me wants to see it. What do ya'll think? Here's the trailer http://wantedmovie.com/
  2. I think the government needs to make up their mind about what age constitutes and adult. 18 or 21. Either way I really don't care, however I would lean towards 21 for a variety of reasons. In the poll I voted yes, because of the military issue.

    New Shotty!

$500 OTD. They are getting pretty expensive. Centerfire.com has them for $399 then figure in $17 shipping, $10 TICS, and $25 transfer and it'll be $451. They are back ordered and you get put on a waiting list. First shipment should be April. So I figured I came out about even except having to pay the "man". Plus I didn't have to wait!
  4. So far: 61% Yes 39% No
  5. How bout some rattler grips? http://www.kygrips.com/gallery.htm

    New Shotty!

Just picked up a Saiga 12 that I had been looking for for awhile. Seems they are starting to get back in stock! Can't say enough about Guns & Leather. It's a bit of a drive from Nashville and always busy, but IMO is worth the drive and wait. Good people. Not mine, but looks almost exactly the same. Now the conversion begins to this!
  7. Welcome to the addiction! and the forum.

    New Ruger SR9

He got it from ASP (Academy of Self-Protection) in Joelton. Did my carry course there with Rob. It is a great place.
  9. Yep, I concur.
  10. That's why secular societies always end in failure. There has to be a final authority on morality ect. In the absence of "God", or external authority, the end result is Government has to become that authority. Socialism does not work and never will because humans can not be God. They end up abusing power and then revolt.
  11. Don't have the original article for the reference. It was in college for a paper, but here is a similar article documenting how many Med school leaders have direct ties to Pham companies. Goggle the topic. It is well documented. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/16/AR2007101601409.html BTW, most of the text books are written with major help from the companies. It is pretty well know the US is not holistic in it's medical approach. for example; mid-wives vs. OBGYN. The rest of the modern world uses Mid-wives for delivery care. Also have a much lower infant/birth related mortality rate than here. We do a lot more c-sections, induced births, ect. It's not some big conspiracy, it's just the direction our Medical system has gone to stay on the "cutting" edge. we do have the best in the world, but I would like to see more holistic approaches in balance with the medication theories.
  12. It's the old secularist argument that people are simply products of their environment. Right and wrong are learned through these environments and so are relative to the surroundings. If that is the case you could change lives by simply changing the objects in them, or removing them as the case may be. Those who believe that right and wrong are absolute and that "God" is the purveyor of such, then environment is theoretically irrelevant. Right and wrong are absolute and inherently known. In this system, wrong is a conscience choice made by an individual whose consequences he must accept. I choose to protect myself from others bad choices, because it is the right, responsible thing to do.
  13. You got to remember Doctors are trained to medicate with drugs not necessarily heal. Which makes sense, because 95% of Med school research is funded through the Pharmaceutical companies. http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2006-01-24-med-school-trust_x.htm http://www.marketmed.org/rx_truth.asp?fmmfont=fontmed as well as a book “Maximum Energy” by Ted Broer. There are a number of others I can't remember the sources for. The good ones will go above and beyond to truly fix a condition, rather than just suppress it. finding the good ones is tuff. BTW read a label sometime. Side effects are often as bad or worse than the problem you're trying to get rid of!
  14. Glad to see you lost all the weight since your avatar picture!
  15. Curious as well. Tag for info.
  16. I'm going to +100 on the analyzing...... to learn from the mistake!
  17. WOW! That had to be one hairy ride!
  18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kahr_Arms Kahr Arms is an American small arms manufacturer founded by Kook Jin "Justin" Moon (son of Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon), who currently serves as CEO and President. It is owned by the Saeilo Corporation (pronounced say-low), a subsidiary of the Unification Church International holding company
  19. I don't like the sound of plastic rail shavings. Guns should have metal rails IMO.
  20. Rabbi at East Side had a 7.62x39 and a 12g (very cool).
  21. Pro-Mag .... NO! Mec-Gar's, as stated above, make pretty much everyones factory mags. Can't go wrong with MG.
  22. That was part of his argument, because the company calls them such and such then that is what they are. BTW does anyone ask questions of employees they already know the answer to, to test their competence and or honesty?
  23. Question? In the store today and the clerk tells me no gun without a hammer can be SA and all striker fired are double action. Why then does the XD, SR9, ect. only able to shoot once cocked. Are they DA? I know there is some symantics involved, but am I just misinformed?
  24. I'll go with CDNN...... depends on what gun. If there are multiple manufactures, you have to know what are the good ones and what are the bad ones. My hi-power for example, there are a lot of mags made in a lot of different places. About half aren't worth the cheap price and some are worth the premium price.
