  1. Very nice! Especially the 2nd one.
  2. I know what you mean about unique. I was getting tired of the Cocobolo as everyone has them. These were just unique and different, in a good way IMO. A big bonus was the feel and fit! She does a good job, to say the least.
  3. Earlier I had asked about certain grips from Esmeralda. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6235. Well, they came today and I like them! They are definitely darker than the original picture and look very much wood and not Ivory as the seemed to from the website. I gotta say, so far I really like them. They are different, but when I gripped my HP I really liked how the grips feel. very smooth yet gave a good grip. The pictures don't do them or the gun justice, but here are a few anyway.
  4. Get a K&D. Very good from everyone who has them. Long wait though. http://kdholsters.com/products.php
  5. You probably know this, but the Cochise is IWB or OWB.
  6. You can't get better than K&D's Dakota Defender. cost, workmanship, quality, comfort, on and on it goes. the Only negative is the wait time. Check out their site http://kdholsters.com/. You will also find a lot of info on the on the XDtalk site. Just do a search on Dakota Defender and you will see what I mean.
  7. XD triggers can be really sweet. I had mine done by Springer Precision, before they had started releasing the do it yourself stuff. It was really nice. Had a 4 lb trigger with very little take up or over travel. The DIY stuff is pretty good too, from what I've heard.
  8. I've had an XD-9 Service and most recently the FNP-9. I sold the XD cause I really like the FNP. Either way you will enjoy. Congrats!
  9. Actually.....$0.2675 a round.
  10. Pretty sure he wanted to see the GUN! ......so do I!

    legal question

I think it is about the same as a car, legally. However, I tend to think it will be viewed a lot more negatively with a gun if it went to court. There are some additional legal issues with a gun if used in a crime and there was some knowledge of it, as stated before.
  12. You're right wasn't a very good movie, although the story was a good one. baaaaaaad joke.
  13. Almost all of Walmarts stuff is specific to them. To get their contracts you have to basically be their manufacturer. They control packaging, ect.
  14. Welcome! Alaska is nice. wish I could get up there sometime.

    AR Debate

Nothing until you get out past say 300 yrds or better. If you can tell the difference in your groups at any range, then you need to be at Camp Perry or a sniper on some elite SPECOPS team. Get the 5.56 and you won't have to worry about any of it. RRA also has a Wylde chamber which is a specific compromise for the two.
  16. Then you need to hand me your AK assault rifle. It was really only intended for warfare and you aren't in the military.
  17. I've heard good things about them. They don't come off, so I'm told. They have to be charged to glow, however.
  18. Well I had that all out of sorts then. Guns laws are so confusing and everybody says something different. We just need to get rid of all of them! well, at least a bunch of them.
  19. Yeah and Russia will still be bringing them in as well as Poland, CZ is bringing their 58 in, ect........ I wouldn't worry about it. I remember them saying that the FEG PA-63 was rare and hard to find collectors item that would soon be gone forever. I see them all over the place now and for next to nothing.
  20. You'll also have to add a few more US parts to make it "legal". The Sure Fire mags alone are not enough and in fact make it illegal. Although I agree with Rabbi, I doubt it will ever be an issue for you.

    CZ 75 D PCR

CZ's have an excellent reputation. It is a steel frame and will be considerably heavier than a polymer (XD, Glock, ect.) gun. I'm looking at getting one myself one of these days.

He's got the DPMS kits in there as well. I think they were around $60. I've used them in the last two and have been fine. One had a better trigger than the other, but I intend to get a RRA replacement anyway.
  23. Yeah and that's why normal civilians don't have them!
  24. I carry a Glock 7 taped to my back on top of the trauma plates, an AOW shotty under my duster and a HK G3 in a guitar case that also serves as mag storage and an armored shield. The cool thing is I can shoot the G3 without taken it out of the case. "Desperado" stole the idea from me! Do you think I have adequate protection?
  25. did someone get the Dad as he came over....by accident of course?
