  1. try http://www.superiorarms.com/cust_engraving.php these have great prices and free engraving http://www.anvilarms.com/pc-36-19-stripped-lower-receiver.aspx
  2. It was Peter who cut off the servants ear with his sword that he was carrying in the Garden of Gethsemane.
  3. Hey Rabbi, how's that for absolute dependability?
  4. A well written article. As a pastor it confounds me the lack of understanding people have between God's grace and his wrath. You can not separate the two without making God something that he is not. I've always said that most people know just enough scripture to be dangerous.... you know what I'm sayin?
  5. After selling my XD9, I may have to pick one of these up.
  6. I gotta go with Magiccarpetrides. I have never heard of a kaboom with factory ammo.
  7. If you live downtown just go out armed as often as possible. The law of averages says you will get more "live" target practice than at a tactical shooting class!
  8. Puget Sound area? Been there and the scenery alone will be awesome, if you stay on the west side of the mountains. I would recommend one of the many parks or waterfalls in the area.
  9. Self-gratifying terms. IMO. A shooter is a shooter. A distinction only need to be made by those who have superior knowledge and skills. As I used to say in high school, if you have to tell someone you're cool.... you're not as cool as you think.
  10. Why go small! Thanks to Mousegunners review of The Kel-Tec Sub 2000, you can carry one of those in your jacket! Oh, Yeah!
  11. I think the website alone should tell you how tight they are wound. WOW!
  12. Your best bet is to put some money to reserve one at your dealer or have your dealer put one back for you.
  13. Here is a comparison of Polygonal (right) vs traditional (left) rifling from the wikipedia article. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygonal_rifling
  14. Absolutely I did! Lesson learned was I need a bigger louder bike so I can be seen and heard better!
  15. Hmmm, glove - no fingerprints - not traceable. Video on Youtube showing face and ip address, hmm.......
  16. My question has always been, if the great thing about them is they always work and have decent features then what about the myriad of other guns that you could say the same thing about. And what about the ones that do what a Glock does best, plus some things better? Why then the devout following if not mere groupie affection? Not meant as a slight, I just don't understand the devotion to something that is neither stand out or extraordinary in some unique fashion. A 1911 I can understand. Even though it falls short in some ways to a Glock it has a unique history and unique trigger that I can understand setting it apart. But a Glock? I just don't get the strong attraction, unless it's a cult like draw.
  17. I think they are having bad trips! "Tune in, turn on, and drop out." has finally caught up to them. Tuned out, turned off, and already dropped out!
  18. I hope your's doesn't have pink grips too?!
  19. That sure is nice. Thanks for mentioning it. I am waiting on my insurance settlement before I move on another, but I will definitely check back with you when everything clears.
  20. I did see where you can get a frame for $319. Tha't not to bad, but still you could get a SIG for that.
  21. Polygonal rifling gives better accuracy due to less friction, supposedly. The downside is you can't use lead, which is kinda a moot point in a combat pistol. Most modern pistols have similar grip angles based on the lines of the 1911. Then the differences are in width, ergonomics, stippling, small differences in radius, etc. Glocks have a more angled grip which I supposed is based on an aggressive stance as opposed to a more relaxed shooting stance. Think a cop looking over his car door keeping cover as opposed to a traditional competition or target shooter.
  22. It isn't form China. It is Korean and very popular in Australia, Europe and of course Korea.
  23. Thanks guys for the input. I really like the Hyosung GV650 and every review by someone who has ridden one gives high marks. I like the cruiser style with the push of a street bike. If the wife lets me get back up on one that is what I will go with. thanks
  24. It amazingly looks like an ...........XD!
