  1. +1. There are many already who think fundamental Christians are extreme and abusive. Gotta agree with who sets the standards. This is big government in the family arena. We can't tell people what to do in the privacy of their own home, unless it is something the liberals don't like - such as discipline, religion, chores,...... These are not the governments kids. "Abuse" has become a weapon to control families with no oversight. One allegation, no matter how untrue and the government can take our children with no questions asked, no contact, no oversight, and it is extremely difficult to get them back undamaged by their "psychologist".
  2. I saw sometime back where on Monster Garage he fitted one of those in a souped up SUV. Thing popped up out of the roof!
  3. I hear it from my wife all the time, "hey, look how cheap and easy that would be!" I then have to remind her that they have a whole crew of experts and tools I'll never have and the money to make it look easy.
  4. HaHa, I went the same rout except I have a 6.8 SPC, AK, and soon to be completed Saga 12g converted. Here's the AK and 6.8 SPC
  5. Yeah that's about right. It's easy to tell though, the lacquer stuff tends to have a green case and a light purple (lacquer) coating. The polymer tends to have a grey case and no visible coating. BTW it's good stuff. I used it in my 5.56 AR and it did leave some purple spots from the lacquer, but never had any malfunctions.
  6. Stopping percentages with hollow point ammo is about even between 9mm and .45. The distinction come from ball ammo, where .45 is king. I carry 9mm, 357 SIG, and .40 and my favorite is 9mm for a variety of reasons. It is by far the most versatile caliber of any of them, especially for your wife. XD9, Glock 17, FNP9, Walther P99 (used), any SIG (used) would all be good choices. How's that for narrowing it down!
  7. Mine does it as well, except it is a boy con. If I mouse over it just says "male". I'm using Firefox.
  8. Well after a very long and confusing wait, my Rafter S OWB holster arrived. I hope my experience was an anomally and from other reviews I think it is, but I gotta give a big thumbs down on customer service. Before i get to that, let's talk leather, or in this case elephant skin! I ordered an Elephant skin with an alligator band to go with my FN Hi-Power. It is absolutely beautiful. You can get the skins in a variety of dies at no additional cost. Workmanship is right up there with the others I have seen. The quality is also very good. I don't have a lot of experience with custom holsters, but my K&D fit very nicely. This one is VERY snug, almost like it is too small. i am going to do all the stretching stuff and see how that goes. The other thing I like about the Rafter S OWB is that it is a high ride. It should conceal very easily. I'll add some more pics later, but here is a start. As far as customer service goes, let's just say communication was poor (i'm being nice) and it took waaaaaay longer than quoted. In fairness some of that was my fault as I canceled it twice and then put it back online. However, that was mainly due to communication errors and what seemed to be disorganization on their part. But everyone else I know has had a different experience than me, so all in all now that I have my hands on one, I wouldn't hesitate ordering another someday.
  9. Actually it didn't, and pig came out of the late 60's and with the same connotation. Anyway, evidently I sounded upset or angry. Not the case. Sorry about that. I've been laid up and on meds (oxycotin?) after my surgery and i might be a little Jekyll/Hyde. So overlook anything that looks out of character from me.
  10. A lot of assumption there rookie. Keeping on insulting someone is in bad taste. There isn't any emotion in there from me. Just detest that labeling as I always have. I wouldn't care for calling vets derogatory names or anyone else for that matter. I here it all the time and it doesn't upset me, just don't think it's funny. But I will strive harder to gain you're approval. BTW it's not that big a deal, sorry to drag it on.I know you didn't mean any harm.
  11. Calling a cop a pig is the same as calling someone a *igger. Even in a joke, IMHO.

    buying guns?

It's very uncouth to do that. Same thing as if I came to your business and asked for your competitors phone number and asked them to price match over the phone in front of you. Integrity is more important than saving a few bucks. But you may think it ok.
  13. A lot of times you can take the course online. Very convenient and it's pretty easy.
  14. I use one and they simply work. Takes the hard edge off of the recoil. However, do NOT use them in 12g AK's. It will break your top cover. You can also get them from Blackjackbuffers.com as well. He makes them and is local in Portland (TN).
  15. Bad attempt at humor. It is in very bad taste.
  16. Amazing no abuse from LE! Seems like all we hear is jack boot thug stories. Thanks for a nice report.

    EBR DPMS-5.56mm

I used the American Defense Recon QD mount. Awesome and cheaper than the Larue and better IMO. It has three bolts on each ring and fully adjustable locking tabs. I also have the Magpul CTR stock and it is great. Nice rifle BTW. http://www.calssportingarmory.com/American_Defense_Mfg_AD_Recon_30_30mm_Mount_p/admrecon30.htm
  18. Yeah, but why didn't you remove the Captain America clip!?
  19. Now where can I get one of those!
  20. Just started getting them about 10 minutes ago! Thanks.
  21. Very nice and in the Army logo colors as well. You gonna decal it in US Army? Here is one I like.
  22. He's a liberal anti-guner. He doesn't believe in guns for non criminals.
