  1. Wow, that was quick! HaHa, I just realized you're the same guy form Xdtalk.
  2. I'm a bi-vocational Pastor. While working at my little inner city church, I have also recently worked for a high end swimming pool company (if you want some country music stars gate codes let me know), worked at my families restraunt in downtown Nashville. The Standard Restraunt www.thestandardnashville.com and most recently am waiting for my leg to heal so I can start with the Metro Nashville Police Department.
  3. Using that criteria you should go with 7.62x39. Either way you're fin IMO. Think of the .223 as a suped up .22 and the 7.62x39 a scaled back .308.
  4. You know they already have that presentation, don't you? It's called the law. Pretty much says precisely what the regulations are.:wall: Are you that bored and lonely........ I guess we already know that answer.
  5. Ghstface38, I just noticed you in Memphis! You do have PC/RC on just about every stop - so carry on!
  6. No and by law there can't be. Part of the stink over Reno (among many) was she was keeping the ATF forms longer than the maximum 60(?) days. By federal law they have to be destroyed after that. Guns are not "registered" anyway.
  7. Why is it that everyone just stand around and watches! what is wrong with people, especially men? Oh, I know they are waiting for the police to fhandle it correctly. No one wants vigilantes.
  8. There are just as many examples to go the other way. Again buying and selling guns is no more extreme to warrant some "legal" form than my golf clubs in the garage sale. If you're in shooting scenario, every detail will be hashed out good and bad. It's nonsense. Receipts, especially for cash, are fine but some form with all my info - No dice.
  9. There were guys standing behind the women for God's sake!
  10. They'd have to have a lot more than just a gun linked to me to justify some charge like that. No investigator is going to charge someone or even detain some one for simple ownership of a gun.
  11. I wouldn't and I don't. I don't give or get receipts from yard sales. The form is over the top. What is the purpose? Are yo buying or selling something that needs more regulation than anything else? If you say yes, then you are buying into the anti's reactionary "guns are dangerous". Would you make someone fill out some form for a circular saw? It could just as easily be stolen as anything else.
  12. Hey thanks again guys. Just a little update. I go Friday for my 2nd post surgery check. Hopefully everything will be coming along fine and I can start physical therapy. It has still been tight but everything has been coming together just when needed. I can't say enough about you guys. I really enjoyed TGO before and now I know why it is such a special group. Thanks again.
  13. Glad you're ok. BTW I did that with my first handgun. Racked, dropped the mag, cleared it, and then "dry" fired at the ceiling. Only I forgot I had put the mag back in!
  14. Citizen Arrest! Citizen arrest! I'm sure it's not beneath you! BTW learn to use the multi-quote feature.
  15. Smith

    XDM for $585!

Do tell from whence it comes! How much you pay!
  16. While I know where you are coming from, for the sake of discussion I will ask. Who exactly qualifies as one of the "WE" and "OUR labor" part. Is it only the point of the spear? What about support personnel? What about civilian support personnel? Government support? government support staff? I think you can see where this goes. You can't do what you did with out all of these and we can't do what we do without you. It is a symbiotic relationship we often forget. Especially if you're a Democrat! To say that only point of spear infantry have fought for rights and "fruit of OUR labor", misses the very concept of a free society. In essence all Americans have and are fighting for our freedom. Do those who fund the soldier have any less invested in victory or defeat?
  17. Part of the problem is LE want to be respected as their positions require it and non-LE want to be respected as free individuals with a presumption of innocence. The very nature of these encounters tend to create tension. LE is looking for evidence of malfeasance and non-LE is wondering why they are looking at him. So which comes first? The Chicken or the egg?
  18. Great place. Worth the stop.
  19. I'll be taken my Walther P99, AK, and Saiga 12g.
  20. The Ak mags I had never gave me any problems, but many handgun mags I've had have been junk.
  21. When I ordered my upper, some time ago, it was a lot quicker than that. They tend to over achieve rather than the opposite in my experience. I have also ordered other small parts and i think they are a great place to deal with.
  22. As sad as the story is, I did find it rather ironic that the guy was trying to claim he was an American citizen in Mexico. Is that reverse illegal immigration problems?
  23. In a Saiga get the 7.62x39. It is ballistically similar to 30-30 and will get out as far as anyone around here would need. Not to mention all the cheap AK benefits it has. reliability, easy to care for, accessories won't cost more than the gun, mags, ammo cost, etc. For hunting ammo check with Centerifresystems.com. they usuall have pretty good deals on 7.62x39 as well as the hard to find 154g SP. It is a decent expanding hunting round.
  24. Careful, Kwik will be along pretty soon to report that he has contacted the necessary authorities to get enforcement on it. ......kwiked again!
