  1. While I know where you are coming from, for the sake of discussion I will ask. Who exactly qualifies as one of the "WE" and "OUR labor" part. Is it only the point of the spear? What about support personnel? What about civilian support personnel? Government support? government support staff? I think you can see where this goes. You can't do what you did with out all of these and we can't do what we do without you. It is a symbiotic relationship we often forget. Especially if you're a Democrat! To say that only point of spear infantry have fought for rights and "fruit of OUR labor", misses the very concept of a free society. In essence all Americans have and are fighting for our freedom. Do those who fund the soldier have any less invested in victory or defeat?
  2. Part of the problem is LE want to be respected as their positions require it and non-LE want to be respected as free individuals with a presumption of innocence. The very nature of these encounters tend to create tension. LE is looking for evidence of malfeasance and non-LE is wondering why they are looking at him. So which comes first? The Chicken or the egg?
  3. Great place. Worth the stop.
  4. I'll be taken my Walther P99, AK, and Saiga 12g.
  5. The Ak mags I had never gave me any problems, but many handgun mags I've had have been junk.
  6. When I ordered my upper, some time ago, it was a lot quicker than that. They tend to over achieve rather than the opposite in my experience. I have also ordered other small parts and i think they are a great place to deal with.
  7. As sad as the story is, I did find it rather ironic that the guy was trying to claim he was an American citizen in Mexico. Is that reverse illegal immigration problems?
  8. In a Saiga get the 7.62x39. It is ballistically similar to 30-30 and will get out as far as anyone around here would need. Not to mention all the cheap AK benefits it has. reliability, easy to care for, accessories won't cost more than the gun, mags, ammo cost, etc. For hunting ammo check with Centerifresystems.com. they usuall have pretty good deals on 7.62x39 as well as the hard to find 154g SP. It is a decent expanding hunting round.
  9. Careful, Kwik will be along pretty soon to report that he has contacted the necessary authorities to get enforcement on it. ......kwiked again!
  10. I gotta agree with Musicman. It's kinda like putting fuel injectors and a digital dash in a '57 Chevy. I guess some would have a specific use for it. I would put it in the FN 5.7 realm. Can't decide if I like it or hate it.
  11. You will be happy, but not complete. Soon you will find other's to love. Monogunmy is not a life we can lead. BTW I have only bought one gun in my life ...... but I've traded a lot. I'm always amazed at how I can trade one for two or more!
  12. Used to live fairly close and never had any problems. However, public parks signal an alertness in me no matter where they are. They tend to be hangouts for some sort of riff raff, no matter where they are. I used to take breaks in parks in Brentwood and Belle Meade and while some company is more desirable than others, I still saw my share of questionable people. My general advice, stay away from bathrooms no matter where you are....even armed.
  13. You should make your COTD RSS feeds! I always enjoy hearing these...... as long as I'm not featured!
  14. He's not interested in reasonable responses. my only guess is he's looking for legalities in order to sue.
  15. I try to spot some and some are easier than other's. The "vest" is about the worst concealment I can think of for tell signs. I been in some less than desirable areas and have spotted some tells not mentioned above. Rabbi I'm sure, can tell us about these unmentioned signs.
  16. Which one:gas prices? Healthcare? Education? trade? Iraq? Iran? North Korea?
  17. awwww..... but you forget the popular vote. It is the voice of the people not some establishment that is important! I wouldn't be surprised to see some court challenges before this is all said done.
  18. You know I've looked you up on a number of forums and I think your are an absolute idiot. You sue for everything, you make people mad then and the wonder why no one likes you, and then act like a "victim" of some sort of discrimination or bias. I've known people like you and they always want to be the "victim". Good luck to you as i see a short miserable life in you're future when you cross people who care less. Maybe that's why you married someone who doesn't speak English. That way she doesn't here the absolute ignorance spewing out of your mouth. Of course you'll probably have a warrant out for threats shortly and then sue for pain and agony!
  19. For an XD get the TruGlo TFO's. They are super bright in day or night and are very easy to see. They helped my cross eye dominant problem a lot during daytime shooting. I agree night sights are pretty useless unless, you're LE or something of that nature where you might use them, but for most of us night shooting is a recipe for lawsuits. Laser's are fun, but like the guy I had next to me with one, he couldn't hold the laser steady enough to hit any better than iron sights. IMO they take just as much practice to "learn".
  20. IMO this is the weirdest trolling I've ever seen. You ask a stupid question, that you know folks won't agree with, then argue on vagueness and technicalities that you are right. This is precisely why hypotheticals are useless. It's like nailing jello to the wall.
  21. Thank god. I just couldn't figure out if i should like it or not!
  22. I'm almost afraid to ask, but Mike.357, what's up with your avatar? I'm mean what is it? I thought you were just joking in the homosexual thread!
  23. and the surprise here is .............?
