  1. I didn't on the last go round, but since Tungsten did whatever he did last time it has worked.
  2. You have to be a benefactor. It is a perk of supporting the forum.
  3. Doing good now. I start rehab this week, but other than that I'm able to get around pretty good as long as I don't push it. I can walk pretty normal for an hour or two, before fatigue, soreness, and swelling kicks in. My burn is starting to heal and is driving me crazy (itching, nerves joining)! Overall I'm doing good. I really appreciate you guys help. I can't tell you how amazed and in awe I was/am of you guys generosity for someone you don't know. Thanks a lot!
  4. Don't worry, most folks are looking for something other than logic and truth to validate their opinions. Mainly because they aren't all that sure the base for their "feelings" and opinions. Age, experience, ............... doesn't affect truth and logic. Age/experience can reinforce and it can also jade. The great changes in societies have always been driven by the "young" and "inexperienced".
  5. The hunting guides say you can't use anything .22 and down. I've never seen a distinction in centerfire vs. rimfire.

    QUESTION??

If you meant long gun, yes. It is illegal to ship a handgun through the USPS per Federal law.

    QUESTION??

I would suggest taking the info from their website as well as the ATF when you go. http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/prepare/guidelines/firearms.html http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm FedEx is a no-go due to their own policy additions http://www.fedex.com/us/services/terms/us.html

    QUESTION??

However, as my experience today informed me, UPS and FedEx have policies that will only allow a firearm to be sent to a FFL. Even in-state. I even called corporate and argued with them. Their website contradicts this as well as the ATF, but that is what they said.
  9. They probably thought it was some sort of audio equipment. Harman Kardon - Sig/Sauer...it's all the same!
  10. That looks like a *wikrnu to me! Sorry I just couldn't resist.
  11. Been to Guns and Leather? The consensus on another board is that they are special priced from HK, with the stipulation only LE can buy them. HK tends to be snobs like that. Maybe our new member, Daniel, who works there can tell us.
  12. If it was like mine I had to use a punch with a hammer! thing was tight!

    Got Guitar?

Me too. Used to have my "music room" with recording and mixing equipment, FX, mics, the whole deal. Kids came along and had to make a baby room. Funny how kids running around the house tend to interfere with your groove!
  14. You have been spending waaaaaaay too much time with the lawyers! A straw purchase is knowingly purchsing a weapon for an individual who can not legally buy one himself. Before long we may get advice to always wear helmets to the range as well.
  15. I know what you're saying and I agree in principal. I just think it is a sad state of affairs when our society is more concerned with what is "legal" than right and wrong. Practically, I don't see any correction except for society to revive absolutes, but too many people like the margins and will argue what exactly those are. I think the gap will continue to grow as laws become increasingly marginal to encompass the "new" boundaries. Where's Andy when you need him?

    Got Guitar?

Used to have a few different guitars. Epiphone Sheraton II, Les Paul studio Tuxedo with gold hardware, Jackson acoustic, Fernandez with sustainer's. Now all I have is the Fernandez that I picked up for next to nothing. I really like U2 sounds. Very original and inventive while keeping it simple. also listen to a lot of different stuff. Phil Keaggy (best guitarist ever), SRV, Eric Johnson, G&R, 80's stuff. I play by ear so what ever i like I'll try to figure out how to play it and then move on to something else.
  17. That may appeal as an emotional response, but realistically is statistically very low. To make assumptions on perceived "facts" is out of character for you. How many times do bad guys get off on technicalities and loop holes when they are guilty as sin? In fact I would be willing to bet that a lot more follow the later assumption than the former. While 2 wrongs don't make a right i understand the temptation to "secure" a good conviction that will stick. However, keep in mind the "seriousness of the charge" is not enough to make accusations.
  18. Rabbi, that was proved to be a good bust after the investigation.
  19. Only to Orthodox Jewish men in convertibles!
  20. Wow, that was quick! HaHa, I just realized you're the same guy form Xdtalk.
  21. I'm a bi-vocational Pastor. While working at my little inner city church, I have also recently worked for a high end swimming pool company (if you want some country music stars gate codes let me know), worked at my families restraunt in downtown Nashville. The Standard Restraunt www.thestandardnashville.com and most recently am waiting for my leg to heal so I can start with the Metro Nashville Police Department.
  22. Using that criteria you should go with 7.62x39. Either way you're fin IMO. Think of the .223 as a suped up .22 and the 7.62x39 a scaled back .308.
  23. You know they already have that presentation, don't you? It's called the law. Pretty much says precisely what the regulations are.:wall: Are you that bored and lonely........ I guess we already know that answer.
  24. Ghstface38, I just noticed you in Memphis! You do have PC/RC on just about every stop - so carry on!
  25. No and by law there can't be. Part of the stink over Reno (among many) was she was keeping the ATF forms longer than the maximum 60(?) days. By federal law they have to be destroyed after that. Guns are not "registered" anyway.
