    Milled AK's

they will also have a rectangle indention toward the front of the receiver.
  2. Yeah, but they're not. Check the second link that actually sells them.
  3. Anyone use this system or know much about it. I like that you can use standard forearms and it is $100 less than the Ares/bushmaster system. Here are few links i found. Just looking for "real life" info. Thanks http://www.gaspiston.com/ http://www.talonarms.com/talonarms/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=423&products_id=1165 http://www.defensereview.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1109
  4. I read nothing but good reviews about them. They are proprietary however, and AR parts won't interchange. While reviews are good they did fail the military trials they were designed for.
  5. Tried the infidel and didn't like it at all. It was too much of a compromise in design. i sent it back (plus for Comp-Tac) and got the CTAC. Great IWB and I hear the MTAC are even better.
  6. I think there are some vendors selling them at the moment so check the vendor section. Also, checkout AIMsurplus.com They also have the lancer mags which are really cool. I like them as well.
  7. He lives in the neighborhood my church is in. Glad to see he cut his hair. He had 1' long dreads.

Because it is half the size. Portability. It also less likely to stand out when a co. is deployed, meaning snipers are harder to spot.
  9. Ha Ha with th e dad and two sons in theri 3 piece suits! Worst family product pitch ever! In regards to the Watson's girl, i saw an interview years ago that said the guy actually got more calls and fan mail than the girl!

They are so expensive because no one wants to make them. The original milled AK came out in '47 and by '59 they had switched to the AKM. Keep in mind Russians don't change often, "better is the enemy of good enough". The reason? the milled ones break, are heavy, and are inferior to the AKM. if you want a shooter get a AKM, if you are looking for a collector piece go ahead and drop the dime in the milled. Just don't shoot it much.
  11. There is a reason Memphis is called the armpit of the south. I lived there over 20 years. Grew up there and I watched it go from decent to Willie town. The biggest problem for Memphis is Willie. There are some good spots, the problem is you have to go through the bad spots to get to another good spot.
  12. Plus I got a certain affection for the tools that changed history. AK's and Uzi's definitely fit that bill.
  13. Just always wanted one. Plus I can afford to shoot 9mm and can take it to most pistol ranges as well. I really like the Saiga 12, I just don't seem myself shooting as much as she deserves.

Supposed to be out late this year. They are also going to be available in 6.8, .223, 7.62x39, and 6.5 grendel.
  15. Could be worse! Canada is energy independent and their loving government has run gas prices $1.50+ over our prices!
  16. HST 124 +p or Winchester Ranger 124 +p. http://frag.110mb.com/
  17. well, after some more research on the UZI, it is going to run around $250 for compliance parts and the SBR is $200. I got the grips and stock for less than $40 all together, so for the cost it makes more sense to SBR it an not worry about anything else.
  18. Welcome. I've had experience with the PF9 and it is a great little 9. I've heard some women having limp wrist problems due to its light weight, but I never had any issues. It is snappy but nothing unmanageable. I say, if she likes it and will shoot it then that's her gun.
  19. Yeah, but I can put three 9's on target, before you can get 2 10's there. Plus I'll have some left over for the other guys!
  20. I personally liked all the racist undertones, the fabricated blog story that they ran with anyway and the oh so sweet tunes smoothin out the vid. Awww Memphis.
  21. Now how would "they" ever know if it was originally a pistol or rifle? I know AR's have to be registered as such, but is this something that's done when it's imported or just the honor system? ............Other than reading this thread of course!
  22. It wouldn't cost much to swap stocks and add grips, so that may be the way to go. To SBR it would be cost prohibitive just for the barrel change. is that what i am hearing?
