  1. It's the same finish as M&P, Walther's, XD's,...... and I'm sure others. Yes it is the best production finish out there.
  2. Generally with kydex, you get less holster wear due to less surface contact than leather. Leather tends to "touch" the gun more and hold moisture. With leather it also depends on the lining, as to how much wear and how quickly. IMO it is really indifferent as every gun that is carried much will show holster wear sooner or later.
  3. NO, nor do I carry my knife with a blade attached. Just too dangerous.

    AR-15 Q

While technically/legally you can hunt with .223, I wouldn't recommend it. It is a little small for whitetail. I know, I know shot placement, but the 6.8 would be a better hunting round.

    First AR-15 M4

Maybe a holster next. 1911 Mexican style, just seems wrong...... and dangerous!
  6. The same idiots who ND in gun shops, and the like, are the same ones who think they are an exception to the rule. Its the same argument that only sensible people will abide by no gun signs. Signs are only effective for those who have sense, those who don't......well, there is only one way to cure stupid. Signs, especially at gun stores, are pointless. They only effect those who don't need the instruction. When they start putting warning labels on fast food, do you really think those who aren't conscience of their weight are really going to take notice? Maybe a better sign is, "We reserve the right to refuse or shoot stupid!"
  7. After the deal you got on that VEPR............ the world is almost right again.
  8. I think Guns and Leather has some.

    My new found love ;)

Which trigger? I had the QA and loved it, bit I'm told the AS is better.
  10. Yeah, I got 5 of those plus the plate they are holding!
  11. Posting a gun shop is like posting a no open beverages sign at a bar!
  12. Gloves are a must, in addition. I was using some Ironclad work gloves from Ace Hardware and they were awesome. Cool, fit well, have grips panles, and are tough as nails. I looked at them after my wreck and they looked brand new. BTW I slide on them the whole way. I burned through my pants and light jacket, but the gloves were fine. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1275615&cp=1254884.1255148.1260304&parentPage=family
  13. As quoted to me from Baptist Hospital, there are only three companies that will cover an auto accident.

    What a prayer

very nice. I'm amazed that anyone could have disagreed with it, but that is where we are.
  15. Yes, unless they make it to where you can't sell them. The new wording includes that. Value would definitely go up, but it would mean nothing. Then and if it is lifted they would spike for awhile then normalize out because the number on the market never changed. That's why it is so tricky. You may have a gold mine or a bunch of less than scrap metal.
  16. As far as investment, the market has better returns over equivalent periods. Trying to guess which one going to be that rare gem is tough and not near the science the market is. There are just too many factors that depend on foreign production. I would never want to speculate on Russian or former Soviet Block countries production! They couldn't even get it right under communist run factories!
  17. Even the semi-custom/custom jobs from likes of say, Intense, Ellsworth, etc. that cost 2-5k, will drop about 1/4 value a year.
  18. If it looks really good, no rust, I'd start at $100 and try to hard sell it. If that didn't work, you'll just have to work down till someone will take it. If the person knows bikes, you may have to give it away. If you get someone who knows names but doesn't know there have been about 20 revisions of those Shimano parts, maybe you can talk them into it.
  19. You speculators are going to jack up the price if you start buying it all up! Let me buy it all and then sell it to you!
  20. Here is a related story, of course it's not presumptive at all! http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/16804470/detail.html
  21. 160 serving overseas? That's a pretty small percentage. I would be willing to bet that most guys are sending their hazard pay to their families and not some politician. The votes will truly reflect the true military will. That is unless the Dems try another Florida trick and try to get them disallowed. Talk about disenfranchisement. That still gets my ire up.
  22. Still not as bad as the lady who killed her 2 mo. old in the microwave! I'll try to find the story. What's wrong with these people. http://www.startribune.com/nation/26829449.html http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080812/NEWS0107/308120039 http://www.click2houston.com/news/13329125/detail.html

    AR-15 Q

Those are questions that can't be answered that briefly. I would say go over to arf.com and just do some research. My personal suggestion is to go to Guns & Leather and let them show you as they explain it. All the options are personal and objective anyway.
