  1. Unclench your rear for a minute. It was just a little humor. No harm intended. Sorry.
  2. I'd say they are buying them first because they are a little more involved in getting. If things do get sticky, it won't be a big deal if they already have them. I would think it's a great thing, because whatever happens there is going to be a lot of unused ones floating around that I can pick up for good prices later on! BTW - glad to see we are promoting good fellowship among members.

    AK stock ??

No one has ever been charged with a 922r suit. The ATF has even stated that it is impossible to enforce and don't even try.
  4. Academy sports used to have great deals on Blazer (Al cased), but prices caught up. Now Walmart Blazer brass is running $9 as is the Academy stuff.
  5. That's an interesting observation, especially considering that the basic premise for 2a is self defense and civil responsibility to police ourselves. I think his actions embody 2a at it's heart and I am willing to bet the founding fathers agree. Yeah, and nobody here is qualified enough to handle a Glock foty, but you! right?
  6. I'm no tecno guy, but I'm never logged out. If I leave it inactive all day and click on new post it's like I never left. The time on line also reflects this. Maybe it is something in your settings?
  7. That's actually a good looking holster. Maybe you could wrap the kydex in the front and eliminate the rivet to smooth out the design a little. Looks good.

Thanks for the support and promotion of goodwill among TGO members? BTW How many have you met?

I think chiggers would be the least of my concerns!

They told me they routinely do stings (no pun intended) for that kinda stuff. If that is the case, I'll be contacting some of you for advice on how to appear to have a lower testosterone level!
  11. If you can stand a wait, K&D Leather is top notch and less in price than any of the above mentioned holsters. I've had holsters from K&D (Dakata Defender), Comp-Tac (Infidel, C-TAC), RafterS, and Hoffner's (Hybrid Warrior). The K&D is by far the best. I've visually compared it some other high end makers and still think it is one of the best. My holster drawer could have a lot more room if I had just stayed with K&D.

Not as sexy as MNPD, but I won't have to work their schedule and I get to ride ATV's and horses. Plus no domestic disturbance calls! Just make sure I don't get called out for one of your late night park meets!

I know. I guess I'm one of the conformist cool kids now! Actually got to shoot it today and well....... I like it. I like it a lot! I shot well with it. It did take a little to adjust to the grip angle, but it wasn't all that bad. I figured since I'll have to carry a G22 on duty, I might as well stick to the same familiar platform for personal carry.

That's why in hindsight I'm glad I didn't go with MNPD. I am going to be with the Metro Park Police.
  15. After "suffering" around for a few months between a motorcycle wreck, 2 surgeries, selling off most of my guns:(, and being without a job - life is turning good. Just found out I will be going to the Police Academy Oct. 1st! Metro Park Police will be taking me on as one of six new officers. I was really disappointed when my wreck cost me a MNPD job in June, but this is an even better situation with all the same benefits. Also got to the range this AM and got to shoot the Uzi and new G19!:D:D Now a word of caution for all you late night park visitors ...... watch out!
  16. Looks good. Just hope it's not too dark, like Arf.com. Makes it kinda hard to read in the actual posting part. I like the clean white background.
  17. TFO's are awesome! I 've had them on two different XD's and never had a problem. I would recomend the yellow green combo. I got them for daytime more than night and they are super bright. Check over on XDTalk.com for more options. xd-hs2000.com is about as good as it gets for install and price. BTW - I've only heard about the pipe issue recently and over the last couple years I hadn't heard anything about it. I tend to think it is a relativley minor issue with some sights.
  18. No, I got an e-mail from my friend who drives for Budweiser and they got a corporate e-mail saying the refineries are down in Houston and gas will be $5.00 by Friday.

    Kel-Tec pf-9

When I had mine it feed everything fine. I will say it does need to be broken in before you know it will be reliable. 500 rnds or so should work out all the kinks. Kel-tecs can also be hit and miss on reliability sometimes and that many rounds will tell you. If it doesn't work as expected, send it back and KT and they will get it going and returned to you quickly and cheaply. Best customer service in the buisness.
  20. Can I carry my battle ax on my back? I could always say I was headed to the woods for fire wood!
  21. This has been hashed numerous times. You (the buyer) are responsible for the tax. There is a form you are supposed to fill out and sen in the tax. The dealer is not requested nor required to collect the tax. I would be willing to bet they don't turn in that money anyhow. BTW, this tax is for anything bought online.
  22. I hear what you are saying and it is much of what I have to preach about weak in and weak out. Consistency in faith. Saying you believe something is one thing, what you do however is what you truly believe. I wasn't upset, it was just starting to get a little bashing for people not living up to their stated beliefs. I think the verse, "it is better to remove the plank from your own eye before you remove the splinter in your brothers." Is what everyone is saying. Most of what I respond with in religious topics is meant with ironic humor. Not to offend but to try and make us think and be consistent.
  23. So what you guys are saying is, if I state a foundationaly principled belief that can be levied against my actions I am held without exception (perfection) to those values, but if I say i believe in nothing (or undefined sytem) I can do what ever I want and not be a hypocrite? Sounds to me like people without the measuring stick hit others the hardest with it. Bak on topic. What a person believes is important because it gives "some" insight to their foundational principles. Muslim vs. Christian is a distinction in values that does make a difference. Not because of religion but because of the principles they are founded in. The fact someone follows closley or loosley those principles is rather irrelavant, because they will tend to default to them in the end. Just my .02
