  1. 1 John McCain 70% similarity 2 Bob Barr 64% similarity 3 Barack Obama 44% similarity 4 Ralph Nader 28% similarity Realistically I was much more in line with Barr, except for Iraq. However, I still will not vote that way. Call it strategy. Took it a second time with every category. 1 Bob Barr 76% similarity 2 John McCain 65% similarity 3 Barack Obama 41% similarity
  2. i think the problem with TDRs "math" (J/K) is that people are trying to take these (or any) candidates in a current perspective. History is the best way to evaluate policy effectiveness as well as what can and can't be done. All the policices of Obama are not new, nor are McCain's. We have long historical track records for the effectiveness of each of these "plans". For instance in 10 years when people compare Clinton to Bush II, statistically speaking (as well as every other economic marker) Bush will look incredibly good. The feelings of the moment will be irrelevant. Obama's socialist plans will fail misrably and last for a long time. McCain's dumbness is correctable. With the exception of China, who only succeeds by using a free economic model, socialism has been a misrable failure. Always has. Capitalism has a long track record of empire building and long term success. Is there a perfect system..... no. All will fail, but capitalism fails once the principles of freedom get lost by the complacent within the society. Socialism fails because it is a fataly flawed understanding of reality and human nature in it's root conception.
  3. If you don't want to use a different stock get a recoil pad and it will add a bit of length. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/PADAKA02.aspx
  4. The Great Red Dread has already invaded. In fact the leader is in this years election. I guess Khrushchev knew what he was talking about.
  5. This is easy. Carry at 12 o'clock and grin just be careful at metal detectors [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T27oOfoZPg0[/ame]
  6. That's all you can offer? One low key old guy? You think that's really a comparison?
  7. That's news to me, but i'm not that up to date on the stuff. Everything I've ever needed I've been able to get. He runs out of stock quite a bit, but I chalk that up to getting Russia stuff imported.
  8. I do and he is NOT. That does not mean he won't sign, but I would try other avenues.
  9. Personally I get in touch with Tantal and see the "originals". I'd get a Kobra. Can't recommend them enough. Precision scopes are overkill on any AK. BTW the Kobra's have 4 reticles and are Russian built (like a tank) and will run you under $300. http://www.tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/bstkobra.html http://www.kalinkaoptics.com/
  10. don't take it personally. Everything anyone has ever said about HP's go hand in hand with you sentiment. It's just that they are huge and ugly. They are function with NO form. Most folks want a little form. I think of them kinda like I thought about girls my mom tried to introduce me to with "great personalities"! They get the job done but I'd rather like what I was looking at. You'd get the same ribbing if you carried a Deagle in .50!

    I Pod question

  12. I've had ATT/cingular/ATT/cingular/ATT:screwy: since 1999. I've had great coverage in rural Arkansas/Mississippi/Memphis/Nashville. The only thing with ATT is you need to check your bill for accuracy. I've heard this is a common problem to over charge on their bills.
  13. There's a guy on Uzitalk selling a very nice one for $2900.http://www.uzitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39378
  14. Palin was McCain's only saving grace. The bailout was McCain's nail. The polls (oversampled as they were) support that. However, do remember it was not too long ago Obama's campaign was in "death throws" with calls for Biden's withdraw, ect. These stories always come out in elections and seldom hold much merit.
  15. Technically yes, but some ATF people "could" argue that you in violation by having the parts. This has been discussed before and no clear answer. I say, If the ATF wants to find something "illegal" they will. Just be careful and hope you never have a "double" when some ATF wannabe is around..

    XD Owners!

I've had two XD9 service models and both had trigger jobs. Mainly for the length of pull and reset. My first one had a trigger job by Springer precision. This was before the DIY parts were available. Absolutely great trigger. The second one had the Powder River safety and reset mod. Really good. Not quiet the Springer but really good. I would highly recommend the PR. I also installed TFO's and DGR's on both of them. I used Blazer AL from academy because at the time it was the cheapest around. The good thing about XD's is you can use anything and the will go boom. Not even Glock's can say that (speaking of lead bullets)! BTW now I carry a G19 because of size. My only compaint with the XD is there isn't a compact 9 in the line up. The full size is just a tad big and the sub a tad small IMO.
  17. I think Tungsten has said he was going to fix those issues as time permits. All new things have quirks.
  18. Yeah I had it listed in the trade section since you can't do two categories, but in the trade section you can only close the ad and not mark it traded or sold.
  19. True, I just went back and redid all the feedback I had left.
  20. So far I like it. Gonna take me a minute to adjust, but I like. Just wish we could get our ratings carried over, but not a big deal. Is there a way to get e-mail notification when feedback is left?
  21. Glen beck has had him on several times and he told his story. Very interesting and a great guy to boot. The part were he was sniping while hiding in the cliffs after all his guys had been killed and he had been hit was Rambo like, to say the least.
  22. If you check over on the Saiga-12 forum you will find that the AA drums are regarded as.......... well, glorified door stops. There is much hatred for the AA's and much love for the MD's.
  23. Ah, flexing the moderator title already canyon! J/K I think you vote for the same reason we carry, someone has to be responsible and do the right thing even when most don't. It's about personal responsibility. Does one gun in the hands of a responsible citizen make a dent in crime stats? Probably not, but that isn't a good enough reason not to carry now is it.
  24. That thing is a dream! I don't even want to know what it cost! BTW - I saw the selector markings, but I assumed it was a semi? Is that just a Spike's thing?
  25. Hey, I've got an EFK .357 SIG barrel for that Hi-Power if you want it! You will really enjoy shooting .40 in the HP. It soaks up that sharp edge and makes it feel like a 9mm. I shot about everything in mine and never had a problem.
