I kinda lazy about cleaning, so I like that aspect as well as the fact that it won't get near as hot. That being said, I see them more of a neat add on as opposed to an essential modification. Let's face it, on AR's most folks spend more on accessories than the gun so it's nothing out of the norm. Linda like deciding to get a new set of hand guards or something.

I hope so, cause I'd really like one of those for carry.

My only concern is the weight. 32 oz empty! add 20 rounds of 9mm and that thing is gonna sag my britches down to my ankles.

Republican Congressman Warns of Obama Dictatorship
Smith replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You are right on the first part. I could see him being able to take executive control if: 1. Economic crisis were severe enough 2. large scale 911 type event. I can honestly see both of these things happening as the economy will plummet after January and an attack is eminent. You are also right about how it affected the majority of German's. Most Germans were not in favor of Nazism. However, it was the slow desensitizing to the Nazi power grab and a willingness of the German people to not see what was truly happening. There are many parallels of Obama to Hitler in regards to the cult of personality and the willingness of his supporters to believe he is middle conservative. I don't think Obama sees himself this way but it would not take much to slip under the spell of absolute power on his part. I suggest a book by Wilhelm Lubbuck called "At the Gates of Leningrad". It is interesting to hear from a German officer about the German perspective. -
Don't care for all the impeach stuff, but this one was pretty funny IMO.

That is why I carry a 9 and often quote this in response. chuckhawks.com

got this in an e-mail from a small buisness owner here in town. Thought it was pretty funny. I removed his name and personal info.

That's the liberal way of saying include me and justify my value. It is the voice of the weak saying I need your strength to prop me up! BTW - not directed at you LF.

The Treatment of Bush Has Been a Disgrace

You are one crazy old man! -
Absolutely great story. The only sad part is that your act of kindness stands out. It should have been a routine accurance, but sadly it is not. Admittedly I don't always think of these things at the moment, but I am reminded once again to be thankful for what i have and those who help me keep it. Thank you.

Does carry gun have to be registered to carry?

I think some folks like to watch their post counts get bumped by non contributive post. Kinda like +1 or mocking others who do this or simply posting smilies. -

LOL, yeah those degrees look great on paper yet they mock me at the bank! -
No, when he is voted out they will say that racism is still alive and well and that is the only reason he's leaving. Any resistance he gets will be called "race based". His failure will be because the "white man" was working against him. This narrative that has been on going for years will now be on the national stage. The racial divide did not narrow, it just became the Grand Canyon.

Obama already helping the economy...

Gun City:screwy: Those guys haven't had any guns in a while and you are right it doesn't have much to do with Obama. -
Welcome and what suggestions are you looking for? On the AK you have the finest utility rifle in the world! Good choice. My suggestion would to shoot it a lot before there is no more ammo!

just search and you will see they are all busy (understatement). Online retailers are making record yearly profits in one week! -
So.... when does the new spirit of bipartisanship and unity begin?

Glock Night Sight suggestions
Smith replied to SpacemanSpiff's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
another big +1 on the TFO's. Super bright during the day and the clearest night sight picture in low light I've seen from night sights. -
If it makes you feel any better, Del-Ton usually under promises and over delivers. Every time I've ordered that has been the case.

That's what I got because it was in stock and there was a 4-6 week wait on M4 chrome lined. Got it in about 5 days. That was about 2 weeks ago though. Of course I sold it just this week though!

Hope that makes you feel better, but I have a degree in History with emphasis in South American and Far East studies as well as a degree in philosophy and a masters in theology. I have debated and read almost everything I can find or be shown on both sides of the debate and my conclusion is the same as histories. My grasp on socialism is just fine. The fall back cry of hypocrite is not new either. Conservatives have a realistic world view that understands that their are flaws and adjustments that will need to be made, but socialism believes there is perfection in government to be achieved in this world. It just doesn't exist. I'm sorry as to not be so arrogant to think I can attain perfection, but rather attempt to build on man's successes and let time and ingenuity of the future build a better world one step at a time. I can understand the love affair with Obama, it was the same with Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Evita ........ They were full of platitudes and promises for the "poor" and "working" class centered on non-productive issues such as race and national identity, but what they delivered was/is misery and equality in poverty with no chance of upward mobility. BTW this is not an extreme characterization either. If you really take the time to look beyond the feel good speeches and factually examine his plan, you will see that it is very similar to those listed above. Do i think he's going to go out and murder his enemies?.... no, but the ideology is the same - so will be the results. As far as racism - I have a black sister (adopted) and my sister in law is first gen American form Mexico (the right way mind you, no anchors here!) and I have ancestors from Poland, Scotland, Wales as well as a good amount of Cherokee Indian. I'd say I'm more diversified than someone with only African heritage. "So blind is he who refuses to see." -
That may be the plan. Instead of slowly leaching off the money, if they are cashed out ..... jackpot! Instant tax bonus! BTW - the myth that Republicans are fat cat wall streeters is not entirely accurate. I'll have to find my sources again, but the last stats from the last few elections I saw show a pretty large discrepancy in voter income in favor of Dems. Couple that with the low end of their voter base as a factor and it is even higher than the stats show. they also give a significant amount less to charity than Republicans.

You actually have the range kinda backwards. 6.8 SPC is considered a medium range bullet. It does have a lot better terminal balistics and killing power than the weak .223 at all ranges.

Cardinal Armory (formerly Ko-Tonics) used to be the best, but he unfortunately is closing. Try to get a 4 groove 1:11 twist if you can. Stay away from Model 1 sales 6.8. They use a twist rate that is way too fast and doesn't work well. Other than that, most of the makers are making them these days and ammo is coming down to a reasonable level that make them worth while now. I had a Ko-tonics that I sold due to ammo cost, but I really like the round and am thinking of getting another upper for hunting purposes.

Yeah, I guess I used the old stats... like the ones available before today. but you're right, it is truly a miserable world full of people without jobs and poverty stricken soup lines around every corner and Bush is a complete failure. consider the fact that unemployment was at a historical low of 7.5% in 1992 after being above that since they it was tracked. Those were also years of complete misery. Come to think of it, I can't think of a time in American history that has not been miserable for it's people.
