  1. Call ace directly http://riflestocks.com/AKStampedModsRequired.htm or try here http://www.blackjackbuffers.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=67&sort=20a&page=2 Plus he is local in Portland, TN
  2. I forgot about the one you have/had for sale! Is it still available?
  3. Here is a good guide and a picture of the difference. http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/index.htm
  4. If you search you will find quite a few threads like yours. That being said it depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. They are pretty hard to find these days and prices are going up. With prices on Rommies where they are now:screwy:, I would get a Saiga and convert it. Best bang for your buck by far. Also with prices high and backorders abundant, getting one of the custom builders involved isn't a bad idea either. http://www.redstick-firearms.com/index.html ,http://www.rifledynamics.com/index.html Russian/Saiga, Arsenal, Bulgarian, Maddi, Yugo, and then the rest is how I would prioritize.
  5. +1 However, revolution is not needed. Term limits would cure a LOT of problems. The federal government is set up and designed for inefficiency. When you get guys up there for 30 years they learn how to use that to their advantage. We need people wo can only work within the frame work instead of behind it. The efficiency is on the state/local levels (or should be).
  6. Depends on how you define fair. "Fair" is not everyone having the same, but rather having what they have earned through opportunity. Please read that in earning both the good and bad from those opportunities. Socialism/Welfare is having what someone else earned through their opportunities. You tell me which is fair. BTW Communism did exist under Lenin. It was Marx who first used the term in the Communist Manifesto. Ironically in order to maintain power under the misery communism brought in 1917 Lenin decided to use capitalism to rescue the Bolsheviks. It was Stalin who fully moved into dictatorship and communism. The argument that it was just bad leaders who corrupted the vision is naive. The "vision" can only be enforced through absolute dictatorship becasue no one thinks it is "fair" when it is imposed on them.
  7. Yeah, I only support perfection. If it isn't perfect it is inherently evil.:screwy: It is amazing to me the people who can't see the forest for the trees. Some of the greatest moments in American history (or any history for that matter) were also in the midst of some of the biggest challenges from both within and without. The difference between then and now? People saw possibility instead of failure. Now we just mop around feeling sorry for our selves waiting for someone to make us feel better. Time to grab the boot straps my friends.
  8. Just a hypothetical with a lot of issues still out there but............ could the Plaxico Burress situation be a case that is used to apply the new DC ruling in New York and push 2a? Of course that is assuming his permit status etc. Just a thought. He has the notoriaty, money, and urgency to be able to push this thing if he really wants to. He has the resources and nothing to lose by forcing the issues. I hope for freedom's sake he will. BTW - I do think he was an idiot to get in this situation in the first place. Glockbutt strikes again! Anyone catch it was a Glock .40!
  9. Anyone know anything about Sig's new micro red dot? It looks like the Aimpoint Micro. http://www.sigsauer.com/SigStore/ShowProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=81&productid=286
  10. Actually it was Hillary who brought this all up.
  11. I doubt anyone is going to steal his identity!
  12. I'm surprised the Extreme Shock bullet didn't make your buck's neck explode!
  13. Personally I really like the Lancer mags. Just as tough as the P-Mags while being translucent. I also like the constant curve of the body. The T-mags will be interesting to see. I only wish the price would come down. I can see the usgi mags sticking around just for their sheer cost advantage and availability. Plus they work, so you can't argue much with that.
  14. The whole thing was a mess. The Marshall's over inflated their account which lead to the FBI over reacting (their own admission) and put a lot of people in very difficult positions. To blame Horiuchi is a little lame. He was acting on orders from above, who admittedly over reacted based on the Marshall's account. The Weavers summarily could have ended the whole thing a lot sooner. Bad info seems to be the biggest reason for the debacle on both sides of this whole mess. Could have, should have. Things should have been different, but nobody knew what they knew till after the fact and then it was a "oh, crap!" In fact it was only after it was over the FBI found out how bad the Marshall's had lied about the initial account of first contact. I even saw the lead FBI agent in tears when he recounted his state of mind when he discovered in the investigation what the real scenario was. Very sad and could have been handled a lot different and I blame the Marshals for exaggerating and escalating a benign situation. They could have straitened it all out, but when it all blew up the cowered. Seems to have worked the FBI and Weavers get all the blame.
  15. Just saw these. What do you guys think? http://www.commandarms.com/product.asp?pID=318&cID=18

    Walther P99

The only handgun I regret selling! I had the 9mm QA model which I much preferred over the AS. Most accurate gun I have ever shot (at least for me) and it is very compact for a "fullsize" gun. I highly recommend.
  17. Those make sweet carry guns! Nice present.
  18. or...... just get a 6.8 SPC and get in touch with Silver State Armory. I personally think (unless you can hit exactly where you aim, I can't consistently) that the .223 is very underpowered for deer. A lot of folks use it, heck I even have heard of them using .22's but I think it is very borderline humane.
  19. +100. If you are going to put a stock on it use the Ace internal receiver block and one of their skeleton folders. Whole thing shouldn't cost more than $170 for everything. I'd also recommend the Phantom flash hider. http://www.blackjackbuffers.com/index.php?main_page=product_combo_info&cPath=84&products_id=645 As far as a pistol grip these are the best I've found for me personally. http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/cdnn_2030_867434 Here's what I had.
  20. No kidding! I own and watch regularly in addition to the 70 times a year it comes on TBS!
  21. ah, back when a truck was a truck and not a fancy overpriced toy. And they wonder why they are going under these days! I'll take a carb and bench seats anyday!
  22. That's pretty funny right there. Only way it could be better is if the guy was dragging a monster buck out!
  23. Very sorry to hear the news. My wife and I went through a similar experience with our second child. I remember God giving me the thought that the first time I would see that child again would be in eternity. He would not have to experience any of the troubles of this world, only the joy of the next.
  24. New wrinkle. Say the SCOTUS rules Obama has to release his birth certificate and he indeed is ineligible. Bush stays on to fill the void and then your scenario takes effect. Could you imagine the meltdown?! BWUHAAAAAAA
  25. Let's see here I should fear the highly successful system of the American experience and move more to the worry free system as experienced by Cuba, China, USSR, etc? Yeah that makes sense!?:drama:
