  1. So you are the woman?! I guess the but gun makes sense then.
  2. Got it from GFA. Very impressed with them so far. I just don't like DA/SA models. Don't know why but I like knowing the pull is the same from the first to the last shot. The AS is much better than any other DA/SA but just not for me. Especially for that kinda money, I wanted exactly what I wanted.
  3. well Dang! Wouldn't you know it. I go to pick up the Walther P99 QA and turns out he received an AS and a QA compact! Man was I disappointed. Needless to say i went with the M&P and I fell pretty good about it.
  4. Well, I decided. I'm going with the P99. The one I had before was the best handgun I have ever had and I think I would regret not getting it this time. The M&P is a very close second, but this is one of those rare times I can actually 1. find a P99 QA 9mm (just search no one has any) and 2. The price tag isn't a deal breaker. Under normal circumstances I would probably have gone with the S&W for price reasons. But all things being equal P99! Pictures to follow later this evening! Thanks guys.
  5. Nope, Walther made the frame for the SW99 and S&W made the slide. S&W imported the P99 fully assembled from Walther Germany.
  6. I just am partial them. I've had a a lot of others from Kel-tec to Sig and I keep coming back to these. I was just never comfortable with the G19, the HP was awesome but heavy for carry and a little to nice to carry everyday. The Sig is just blocky and I don't like DA/SA, the FNP9 was very nice and accurate but again DA/SA, The PF9 was great but not something I could have fun at the range with. The XD9 (have had two at different times) was awesome but a little big and heavy compared to comprable guns. H&Ks are just too snooty and blocky for me Basically I want a light, thin fullsize SA 9mm. I know about Khars but I don't want to supprt the Moonies.
  7. I've held them all and previously owned the Walther, wish i had never sold that thing:(. The drawback to the Walther is magazine price, $54! The M&P I'm just not partial to the looks. The Ruger is just too new and I get mixed opinions.
  8. care to share? All the reports I've heard have been good after the recall.
  9. Since selling off most of my guns, I was left without a carry gun. I'm back in the game and need help choosing. Price difference aside what would you choose? Please just out of these three. 1. Walther P99 9mm QA 2. S&W M&P 9mm 3. Ruger SR-9 blackened slide
  10. Not true. NATO has outlawed foreign PMCs being hired by outside countries. This happened after Sierra Leone. The US can hire PMCs because they are involved but Iraq could not hire PMCs for military engagements. Foreign PMCs can be hired as consultants for military engagments but not combat.
  11. The reason Blackwater and similar security companies are hated are because they are are incredibly effective. They don't have to get political (beurocracy etc.), have little media accountability, and they don't have to deal with congress. They make governments look bad and the media can't make them fail. Just look at the case in Sierra Leone. Executive Outcomes went in and ran out foreign rebel forces (60k of them) with less than 4k men in less than 3 months. NATO got their panties in a wad cause they weren't in charge, banned contractors (by foreign governments) inserted 40k "Peace Keepers" and within 2 months the rebels not only took back ground, but captured and took over the capitol forcing NATO to negotiate and legitimize their overthrow. To this day these countries are in a mess. You will not see a positive article on Blackwater by any major media company. I suggest people understand what and how these guys operate before using the biased politically correct crap that is release by media outlets. Shadow Company is an excellent documentary on the subject.

Only negatives I've heard is ammo price (not such a big deal anymore) and some firing out of battery. But those seem to be limited in comparison to the many good reviews.
  13. Goliath had four brothers!

  16. Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps.
  17. Wal-Marts got the Blazer Brass for a $1 cheaper a box regular price.
  18. I think he nailed it. I think his statement that no church has ever been built on Calvinism only torn apart is a very good observation. A true Calvinist will by nature be in conflict of the gospel directives. Back on topic - I will trust God to providentially guide my the Federal HST that I freely choose, so that his will for my life will be accomplished.
  19. I can tell you from many theology classes that that is a more complicated question than you want to imagine. It has been debated and mislabeled for centuries. Calvinism, Arminianism, free will, etc. are non resolvable because they deal with the nature of an unlimited God spoken in the context of temporal terms. While Calvin was a sharp individual he is not the end all be all of scriptural theological interpretation. In fact many of his conclusions were based on Catholic/Anglican traditional understandings that no longer hold value. BTW Arminius considered himself a "good" Calvinist. Most Calvinist aren't full Calvinist. Hypercalvinism is fatalistic and void of any free will or choice. It is an extreme view of what Calvin taught that Calvin would/did full reject.
  20. This is the theological equivalent of the never ending caliber debate.
  21. HaHa, I forgot you were in the buisness! I guess you would know. Either way great products made right here and by some TGO'ers at that!
  22. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg205-e.htm Beat me to it. Bul an Israeli company makes the plastic 1911s. (http://bultransmark.net/index.htm) CD's regular 1911 are Armscor with upgraded finish and a few extra parts. Their HP (no longer offered) was made by FEG in hungary and was for the most part a 99% clone made on original FN tooling. I've never seen anything from CD that wasn't a very good, value gun. Underpriced simply for name recognition.
  23. As a pastor I deal with these things rather frequently and each one is unique and different. What most of these men struggle with is not death but the feeling of being helpless or a burden. Often they overcompensate with aggression as a way to try and reassert in their own minds they can still command respect and strength. The other response is usually a deep depression. His generation is one that fears weakness more than death. Death would be a release for most of them. That being said I would as delicately as possible take the threat very seriously. While he would probably never intentionally do harm to others, he is very likely to harm himself and other's in the crossfire. Whether the rest of the family agrees or thinks they same as you, you must do what is right. That doesn't always make you popular, but if you do it humbly and with love for him it will work out in the end. Sometimes losing the immediate battle is the only way to win the war. Keep this in mind what the scripture says, "be as wise as the serpent and harmless as a dove."
  24. According to Sabre, they make all the lowers, uppers, and barrels in house. They also started out making .50 machine gun barrels and continue as a staple of their business. BTW they are top notch.
