  1. Whats the best source for immediate flame. Lighter, windproof lighter, magnesium, tinder in a can etc. for quick and mobile always ready fire.
  2. You mean unlike it was in '86? BTW, I know what you meant.
  3. Yeah, like when he can trade his full auto even for a semi!
  4. I get that, but for me I like knowing that they are supporting MY 2a rights ever time I use them for gun and gun related purchases!

Problem is is that the two carriers have additional policies that are more stringent than the ATF rules. This is what causes a lot of difficulty at the counter. I have even had an argument with the legal department of Fedex that said I could not ship FTF in state even though ATF and their own policy allows it. Most counter folks are OK with shipping to a FFL but get all confused on in state FTF. All though the lady I spoke with was very nice and agreed that what the legal dept. was telling her contradicted their policy, she said her hands were tied. I went back the next day and didn't tell them anything. I had printed the shipping label and sat it on the counter and said thank you. Was that ok, probably not, but it wasn't worth another two hours in debating company policy.
  6. I've found this out the hard way as well. Who do you use, if you don't mind me asking? Mostly I've bought from Del-ton, BravoCo, and GTS.

If it isn't declared and no other markings, how would it be caught down the line after the initial scan in? I'm not familiar with how the carriers inner workings go.
  9. or here from Savage themselves http://www.savagearms.com/BreakingNews121908-4.htm
  10. Coming from anyone else but Magpul I would be skeptical. I will be anxious to see them in person.
  11. I like! and coming from savage is should be priced right and accurate.
  12. hmm, interesting. I'm assuming durability isn't an issue but that is the first thing that came to my mind in such a small piece of plastic.
  13. They allow it but you have to show paperwork as stated earlier.
  14. Did some work for me as well. Very nice unassuming guy who does good work and is pleasant to talk to. +1:koolaid:
  15. I work the same and have one of the BSA systems you can use. I not too far up the road if you haven't found one. It won't work on AR's though.

UPS has always asked me for the copy of the FFL. Fedex just ask if it is going to a FFL. I've discovered that most of these employees at the counter don't know their own policies much less the ATF regulations. Sometimes it is just a matter of who you get at the counter. I've experienced impossible to very easy and pleasant. Just know it make take a trip or two.

    Broken XDm

I thought revolvers never have issues and go bang everytime! Seriously, keep us posted and I wouldn't assume the XDm is a bad piece. As has been said everything mechanical has or will break. The only issues I would be worried about are FTF/FTE because those tend to be tolerance issues. Mechanical failures are usually due to anomalies in the manufacturing process. Unless they are from Bryco or something of inferior material and workmanship.

Get a copy of the FFL you are sending it to and go to FedEx or UPS and ship it. It will have to go overnight and you will have to declare it at the counter. You also have to ship it from one of the shippers main terminals. No retail stores, drop location, ect. I would personally use FedEx after my experiences with both. NO USPS.
