  1. I hope you don't join AARP. They are extremely liberal and anti 2A, but if you need someone to rock and shoot I'm up for that!

    Ruger LCR

Finally! Thanks, saved me a lot of googling.
  3. Very nice rifle. I too prefer the '06 to the .308. Of course I prefer a .270 to the .308 too! Really? Every thing I've read says they are one of the most accurate rifle out of the box you can buy. Even compared to some customs out there. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
  4. They seem to be running $430-$470 ATM.
  5. Of your two choices I'd say Taurus, but...... like Musicman said, I'd get the M&P if I could. I just got one and really like it a lot and I've tried about all of them - SIG, Walther, XD, G19, as well as a few others. You could also hunt down a used Glock 19 or 17 for about the same as a new Sigma and have the real deal with much a better trigger etc.

    - Mossy 500 - Academy sports and dicks usually have some. GFA has the desert camo "cruiser" for $360 - Rem 870 - Walmart has some for $350 - NEF/H&R Pardner Pump (870 clone made in China. Usually around $250-$350 locally) GFA and ASP in Joelton had some - $350ish - Charles Daly Field/Tactical (just got one for $200 and it is perfect for your purposes. check Gunbroker.com or Bellshire) http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.asp - Centerfire has a pretty good deal on Armscor 12g right now. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/rockislandm5tactical12gashotgunpartac-sgn-m5.aspx of course these are in and around Nashville and I'm sure where Reagan is. I'm sure Hero Gear has plenty of everything. there are also more expensive shottys like FN's etc, but for HD i can't see much reason for spending 1k on a 12g pump.
  7. Aren't we forgetting the man who started it all... Tony Robbins! What a giant head!
  8. vote for Tony Little! no man wears a hat with a pony tail like Tony!
  9. You need to clear the cache. One of the ways it goes faster without incurring large download cost is to store img and pages for later viewing. set it to clear every so often and it will work much better.

    Glock 30 vs Glock 38

...because that is Perfection! Now where is the dang trademark symbol?
  11. Yeah I really like Tebow. Thought he should have won the Heisman again, but we knew that wasn't going to happen. I'm just wondering when Kirk Herbstreet will finally shut up about USC and Ohio State? Everytime these schools meet up with the SEC they get hammered. The guy obviously doesn't like the SEC, but come on. He's like footballs Chris Matthews. BTW - I have one brother and 2 sisters that Graduated from UT and one brother from Vanderbilt. My mom, dad, grandfather, and two uncles are all graduates of the University of Arkansas. I, being the black sheep, went to Arkansas State University! Gooooo SunBelt!
  12. +1 Thank you for posting this and encourage those who don't understand this POV to use the search function. It has been discussed ad nausea in other threads. Obey the law and don't try and be the legal beagle who stayed at Holiday Inn giving legal advice to stores or any one else for that matter.
  13. The playing is just amazing. I'm just blown away when i hear guys like that play. the sounds the get out of those things is incredible. As a guitar player I'm watching their fingers and wondering how they are making their guitars do what they are doing. I'm also reminded why most of us picked up a guitar in the first place. They make even the ugliest, nerdiest, loser of a guy look way cool!
  14. If you load your own bullets you may get the ideal mix of AR/AK. The accuracy issues (which aren't that big of a deal BTW) with the x39 is mostly due to bullet design. There just aren't a lot of match x39 bullets out there. It is certainly a capable concept, but I would just prefer going with the 6.8 in an AR and x39 with an AK. I think it has more upside. Either way you got a great setup and a weapon that will do what you want. enjoy.
  15. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done that! did it on my first build. didn't forget to put the stopper in just didn't get the buffer tube on it enough. I actually did it twice in a row!
  16. Restaurants do have to post the sign along with warning pregnant women not to drink, cancer warnings, etc. Most of them are outdated, but it is what the Health Dept. looks for. They don't care if they are right or not as long as the super ego Health Inspector doesn't knock their score for it. BTW most health scores have very little to do with health and more to do with making the state money.
  17. It was working just fine when it was mine! Maybe you should give it back and I will test it for you.... might take me a few years or until you forget about it! +1 on the Saiga IMO.
  18. The curve is necessary to feed properly, just look at the AK mags. There is a reason behind the Russian madness! I never understood an x39 AR, but I'm glad you like it. I personally really like the round myself, just in the AK platform.
  19. Ya know when I was deciding between the M&P and the SR9, I wish you guys had been around! I might have gone with the SR9. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the .45 but I might if it were in the SR package. From what I'm told the SR already has a tendency for the muzzle to push rather than flip so I could see the .45 matching very well to the design characteristics of the SR platform. That with the nice ergos, it just may be the plastic 1911 everyone seems to be after.
  20. These get posted all the time and usually the same stuff. Yes the government has "camps" and we did actually use them for the Germans and Japanese during WWII. However, most of the sensationalism of the conspiracy nuts jump to is out of line. Could they be used for nefarious purposes? Sure, but camps could be put up in no time if they really wanted to. As far as the prison system being gulags or concentration camps... come on. The reason we have so many prisoners is it is a better home for a lot of them. Watch "Lock Up Raw" sometime and they will even admit it. People in gulags and concentration cmaps don't usually last very long.
  21. I was in the same boat twice and went with Del-Ton. I couldn't find anyone who could beat their price (or service for that matter) when comparing apples to apples.
  22. Well, the way the academy is it is all or nothing. I have to reapply and get scheduled again for another session. They had a guy in Session 58 who was 3 weeks from graduation and missed 3 days in the hospital with food poisoning. The 3 days happened to be range days and he couldn't make them up. Had to reapply and start all over. It's tough, but that's the way it is. Yeah I forgot about that thing!
