  1. Defining torture is an "argument of the beard". It is a judgment call on most techniques used today, as stated in the posted link. IMO waterboarding is not torture, so it is ok. BTW torture is not what was being discussed earlier.
  2. It is a inferior copy of the P-11 made by a disgruntled ex-Kel-Tec employee. He was flamed for posting reviews as if he were customers on forums. I think it is telling that they have already changed their name in the short time the have been in business. Less than 2 yrs I think? I'd go with the PF9. I just don't care for .380 and I liked both Pf9's i had.
  3. in semi auto, muzzle rise is not really a problem. It is a fairly low recoiling rifle as it is especially with the weight of the weapon. If anything any muzzle jump you get is due in part to the gas piston assembly shifting weight so sharply. +1. Again recoil is not an issue IMO on semi auto AK's. However, the Phantom 5C2 (not to be confused with the regular Phantom) does help with what negligible muzzle rise you might experience as well as significantly lowers flash.
  4. She must be using Extreme Shock Fang Face ammo! Nice hog!
  5. BTW - the excess of Katrina happened because Blanco and Naggin ignored Bush then then fired from the hipe like morons. It didn't happen in Mississippi or Texas, which actually had more damage..... wow! Guess what? Those were Republican areas. Curious. - You do know Clinton started Echelon, right. You also are aware that it only came to light when Bush asked for permission to continue using the same program, correct? You also know that it was ruled by the special espionage court as perfectly legal this past week, right? It is interesting they delayed ruling till the week of Obama's inaguration. - Habeas Corpus applies to citizens on US soil and not to international insurgent fighters. - The Geneva Convention ONLY applies to uniformed soldies in conventional warfare as described by the same Geneva Convention which no one in Guitanimo was. It technically only applies if both sides have agreed to it, which the insurgents have not, because they are not legal fighters under the same Geneva Convention YOU POEPLE KEEP TRYING TO USE WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THE HECK YOUARE TALKING ABOUT! Evidently we live in a country that can read Obama's 13 cover/propaganda stories in Time magazine, but can't seem to find the time to read history, or the documents they liked to throw out there as legal standning. We live in a society of Cliff note legal historians. Rant off.
  6. Yes. I've got a 12g CD Tactical/Field pump and just got back from the range with it Thurs. It is a very nice 12g for the money. ATM I like it better than some of the lower end 870's and Mossy 500's I was looking at. However, if it is a semi auto I have heard some of them to have issues with lighter loads and the bolt handle coming loose. Nothing major that isn't all too uncommon but something to think about. You might want to check the Charlesdalyforum.com for more info. I don't know anything about the S&W but as said before, I'd stay away from a 2.5 chamber.
  7. I really doubt they are concerned with saving money.
  8. No it is really cold and it might be dangerous for the kids to be out in this weather! IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN!!!!
  9. It's not "Glock" per se but it might as well be a 4th gen. The designers were former Glock designers. Charles Daly will be importing them fairly soon. http://www.akdalarms.com/ghost.html
  10. +1?????????? Some of these 3rd world things can either be protest or celebrations.
  11. This has been discussed before and the technicalities alone would bog this thread down for 5 more pages of arguing so....... what i have decided is to simply keep it concealed. If you are "working" you and your buddies shouldn't be drinking, so that would be in your benefit should something happen and if no one knows - well, no one knows. No harm, no foul. I would find it equally difficult, both legally and personally, if something happened while my gun was in the co-workers car. Say like it got broken into or stolen and I'm trying to explain to my co-workers surprise why there was a loaded gun in his car he didn't know about. At that point I have made my difficult situation his and possibly put someone else in a difficult legal position they neither asked for nor wanted.
  12. I have used and really like the Phantom FH/Brakes. Work great and look good too. http://www.blackjackbuffers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76&products_id=339
  13. This is the first thread on this. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16089. Yours makes the third
  14. Nah, it is an import issue. Being that it is made in Turkey they won't import "non-sporting" accessories. !BATF!
  15. a little late:D http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16089
  16. Sorta. The stock takes some minor fitting (i'm told) and the shell carriers work with a little mod. Both of the frame pins on the CD are the same size as the rear pin on the 870. Mag tube extensions will not work unless they are welded on. Threads are too different.
  17. I had an ACE on my Ak and it was indeed nice!
  18. and the difference is? If they go along with it the Rebs will just look incompetent because the Dems will have the power behind the scenes and take no blame.
  19. I'd really like to add a better stock to my new tactical shotgun as well as a shell carrier and a fore grip. I really like the ACE stuff and found out they make an adapter for the 870. Question is what do you guys think of it? Here is a one of their stock pictures. Wouldn't go the folding route becasue I want to add a shell carrier. Other two things I would like is a shell carrier and a fore grip like on the Serbus. Is the Mesa worth the cost over the Tacstar? Is the Serbus fore grip made only by them? I can't seem to find much on them. Thanks.
  20. Should be but that went out with the bath water a long time ago. When we decided right and wrong were a matter of interpretation and not absolutes we let compromise die. It used to be that the vast majority of Americans would agree on fundamental principles and so party differences were based on "trivial" issues. Since the late 60's till the present there has been a shift to "overthrow" those principles and rewrite history, morality, governing principles, the Constitution, etc. As stated in my earlier post when this shift happens their can no longer be compromise. It is in practice and ideologically impossible for either side. All this too say we need term limits, so that the issues stay on principle instead of long term power struggles. The House vote was not about issues for the Dems it was about Power. Naife even said he wanted to resign when he was ready instead of being forced out. If the the situation was reversed it would be exactly the same. Just look at what happened to the remnants of the Gingrich congress this last year.
  21. If you want to watch what happened, here is the video. The action starts at 1:32:mad: http://tnga.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=2&clip_id=202
  22. The elections ARE the polls and it was very clear that TN wanted a conservative ideological shift. You are right it is not about Republican vs. Democrat but it is about conservative vs. liberal. What you seem to fail to see is that only R talk about/try bipartisanship and that is at the behest of the Dems when they are out of power. The Dems for the last 49 years did not operate or try to operate bipartisanly. Actually it was quite the opposite. In fact since 1991 Naife has blatantly lead viciously partisian, not even allowing bills with more than enough votes to even come to the floor or committees for that matter. It makes you feel good to sit there sippin on your java thinking the world is in balance, but this is actually the first time in a long time it has started to come back to balance. People have been walking on such a crooked slope for so long that when the ground flattens out they swear the ground is crooked. BTW - what Williams did was extremely partisian. He did the will of the Dems despite the will of the people. Voters don't elect Rep to act like a Dem. To say he wants to lead bi-partisian is laughable and ignorant in the extreme.
  23. So backstabbing the will of the people, your own party, and Tennessee in general hasn't earned anything? Wow, the koolaid must be good. As far as looking to commonality, when ideological bases are opposites, compromise will only get you killed. True an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, that's why you better take both of the enemies first. This whole kum-ba-ya mentality is how partisan ship gets rampant. It is just another tactic to get an upper hand by the minority who can't win on the strength of their own beliefs. If people would be more honest about what they believe and why they believe it, we could actually get a whole lot further along. The naivety of commonality is to deny the nature of mankind and the unversal laws of truth. There is right and there is wrong. When you compramise truth you just make chaos. Look at our country and the TN legislature. It is in chaos. Why, compramise. The feel good medicine. Problem is it is like coccaine, it shure feels good all the way up till you die. Rant off.
  24. Didn't know if anyone has seen this yet. http://politics.nashvillepost.com/2009/01/13/there-are-two-is-in-kent-williams-but-no-rs/
  25. Coincidentally they will be pumping a lot of the same stuff in D.C. on that day.
