    SCAR sighting

Man at $9000 that is going to leave a scar!
  2. I try to keep as much as I can. I end up shooting it before it "stockpiles" though. Practically speaking I keep at least what I could carry if there were a disaster of some sort. I'm thinking if the SHTF having 2k rounds of 9mm isn't going to do me a whole lotta good if I can't carry it and my kids aren't quite big enough to be pack mules yet!

    FNP 40 ????

The pro40 is the same gun. FN makes them and browning puts their name on them and usually bumps up the price. The only drawbacks are their newness to the market. Holster selection and sights haven't caught up to them yet.
  4. There are pro's and con's to every carry method. Many guys on here, myself included, have a holster drawer full of experiments. What works for one guy may not work for another for a myriad of reasons. I personally like carrying full sized guns IWB in either a K&D or DM Bullard Dual Carry and OWB (when ever possible) with Bianchi 105 or Hoffners Hybrid Warrior (when i get the second one). That being said other will prefer pocke holsters, smart carry, etc. Try as many as you can and find the one that works best.

    FNP 40 ????

$550 is way high. You can get them New from CDNN for $439. I had the 9 and it was an absolutely great gun. The trigger is really good in both DA and SA. Only reason I sold it was I prefer SAO and finding a FNP SAO is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I have to admit that the dual finish guns are some of the prettiest guns I have ever seen! BTW - the .45 was released last year to rave reviews. Pick up just about any gun rag and you will see it mentioned somewhere.
  6. If you think it has too much recoil or rise you need a heavier gun or smaller caliber. The 19 is about as tame as you're gonna get. You also have the added disadvantage of all the flash being put right up into your eyes. In dim light that is a big problem. The only value i see in any ported gun is in the very large calibers and in some competitive venues.
  7. IWB (i've tried a lot) K&D Dakota Defender or Thunderbird. The DM Bullard Dual Carry is nice as well. OWB, I really liked the Hoffners Hybrid Warrior. Of coure the next guy will recommend brand x and so on so on. It is trial and error and the ultimate holster will be the one that happens to your nuances the best.
  8. I shot it exclusively for 2 years when you could get it dirt cheap at Academy and never had a problem. It is much cleaner than Wolf or WWB IMO. I've had more problems with WWB (which cost more BTW) and never with Blazer. BTW Blazer is the same thing as Speer/CCI and their stuff is GTG. You're not going to save anything loading 9mm unless you loads thousands. Just buy it and save the equipment money for more ammo!
  9. People who carry only need 911 after the fact!

    New Indoor Range

I'm definitely going to have to use that in the future!
  11. Why is it a problem? My M&P mags do that as well.
  12. I think getting caught carrying in a park bathroom is the least of the offenses they would get you for!
  13. Lincoln, JFK, J. Edgar Hoover, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, etc. I in no way said it was acceptable or right. I simply make the point that this has been going on behind the scenes for a long time going back to even the Civil War technology aside and that now it is finally defined and addressable. When did this become a "real" issue? It certainly wasn't a mainstream conversation before Bush 2. So my point is not that Bush was right to do it, but rather by bringing it to the public eye in the way of the Patriot Act, it made what had been done in secret tangible and visible. With the curtain removed it has allowed for Americans to have discourse and an actionable subject to deal with. whether this was intentional by Bush 2 or not is irrelevant. These conversation were considered tinfoil topics as recently as the Clinton administration. Our freedoms are being eroded away but not by the Patriot Act. t is being done with other much less obvious methods like socialism, taxes, education, political correctness, etc.
  14. About the only thing I liked about working 3rd is I got off before Obamaroma started and slept till it was over!
  15. Could be worse. Try getting a 6.8 upper! Stag is backed up 6 mo. and all the custom guys are that much if not more. A lot of the builders quit taking orders or raised prices to slow ordering.

    Curious?

I meant the barrel. I wouldn't want to buy a whole other upper. If it's just a matter having another gas port drilled and the carbine port closed, it might be an option. Just a thought.
  17. It is what gives him validity and power. It is the magic wand to wave in front of the masses so they won't see the the ideology. It's the same with Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, etc. If the problem ever gets acknowledged as fixed they loose their money and power.
  18. Anything is better than the stock sights. I'd say go for it. XS makes two different kinds BTW.
  19. Now those make it look good.

    Curious?

Just thinking.... what is the possibility of making a carbine length AR into a mid-length?
  21. I've got two. You can have one if you want it.
  22. I like the 9 myself, but I'm a mid length kinda guy.

    Witness Elite Match?

I just read some about them, can't remember the source, but everything was very complimentary of them. You should get one so we can live vicariously through you.
  24. I would say that qualifies as a hand cannon!
  25. Nice! I hope to be adding my bit of "change" with a new 6.8 SPC upper. I have a feeling I needed something a little more potent than 5.56!
