  1. Tuck-This is fin, but for the P11 I would just get the clip and not worry about it.
  2. After I my spill I can honestly say I am SOOOOO glad I was not OWB/IWB. I landed on my strong side and it would have done a tremendous amount of damage. I was carrying in my shoulder bag, which I think is a little more accessable and safer on a bike.
  3. I'm thinking some deluxe checkered Alumagrips would look awesome on that 1911! http://www.alumagrips.com/main.taf?p=2,1,3
  4. I just found this site and it is pretty good when you are looking for something specific. It cross checks a lot of different forums want ads and list them by time posted so you can find what you want. You can customize it to some extent as well choose the categories you want. I like that it doesn't link back to TGO as I'd like it to stay local. I did a search and couldn't find anything on it so here it is. http://elitedealseeker.com/
  5. Yep, "From Russia with Love" and also made an appearance in "Goldfinger" when Tilly tries to assassinate Goldfinger. Here is Maxwell Smart's AR-7 from the show "Get Smart"
  6. Man! Where in this thread was that even said or implied. The OP is the only one who said anything about Dems and he gave them credit while putting the Reps down. Besides Democrats are compared to Republicans. Conservative is related to liberal and not parties per se. You are a liberal democrat as opposed to a conservative or Rep.
  7. Yes you can. The FFL only applies when guns are interstate commerced. However, like previously said, if you tell a carrier what you are doing they will freak out and say no even though their policies say yes and the law says yes. I know form experience. I have done it before and just have to get creative on how I notify the shipper of contents. do not say machined parts. Sometimes thye will check to make sure their is no oil! FedEx is much better in this situation than UPS.
  8. Reviving the year old thread!
  9. Just curious, but why the compensated?
  10. I see a lot of whining about the NRA from gun owners, but think about it this way. What would things look like without them? I would dare say we would be far worse off. That being said, are they perfect..no. Do they get every stance right, according to me...no. One thing we conservative/independents/whatever have to quite doing is eating our own. One of the great accomplishments of Reagan was unifying a bunch of individualist. The Dems are good at uniting because they are followers. We must learn to work together to win the war and stop worring about every little battle WE think is the most important one. Big picture people. Jackdog, is there anyone you DO support?
  11. It just went for $2,049.00! I don't care where they start, that is ridiculous.
  12. Does anyone know if Glock's have a reputation for cracking in the ported are? I have heard of some others having the issue.
  13. I think "dazzle" is being kind. Their is another thread discussing the pro's and con's. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16560&highlight=ported
  14. Just curious, did you settle on the Grendel due to the range factor? I am going with the 6.8, but I don't see me shooting much over 300 yrds practically. The thing that turned me away from the 6.5 is there are only two or three 6.5 builders and all all of the major builders are selling 6.8 SPC as well as a fair amount of custom shops. Seems the market is holding the 6.8 better and will thrive in the near future. I worried that the 6.5 might be cost prohibitive down the road. I know the 6.5 is better compared to the .308 and the 6.8 is better compared to the 5.56, just curious as to why 6.5 over 6.8 in your case.
  15. Why the heck did he ship it overnight! He could have saved you a bunch of money. Yeah, the gun laws are stupid to say the least. But you know those handguns have a way of committing crimes when they are away from home.

    My new Jeep

Nice! It would have been better if it were a real Jeep though, like a CJ7.
  17. Have you though ta bout the DSA OSW? I read a very good article on them not too long ago.I'll see if I can find it.
  18. Oh, yeah? Well, call me the Tax Man then!
  19. I'm curious as too see what is going on behind the scenes? Patterson is Obviously taking a huge shot at his party. The question is why? Has to be juicy for him to pull such a move.

    SCAR sighting

Man at $9000 that is going to leave a scar!
  21. I try to keep as much as I can. I end up shooting it before it "stockpiles" though. Practically speaking I keep at least what I could carry if there were a disaster of some sort. I'm thinking if the SHTF having 2k rounds of 9mm isn't going to do me a whole lotta good if I can't carry it and my kids aren't quite big enough to be pack mules yet!

    FNP 40 ????

The pro40 is the same gun. FN makes them and browning puts their name on them and usually bumps up the price. The only drawbacks are their newness to the market. Holster selection and sights haven't caught up to them yet.
  23. There are pro's and con's to every carry method. Many guys on here, myself included, have a holster drawer full of experiments. What works for one guy may not work for another for a myriad of reasons. I personally like carrying full sized guns IWB in either a K&D or DM Bullard Dual Carry and OWB (when ever possible) with Bianchi 105 or Hoffners Hybrid Warrior (when i get the second one). That being said other will prefer pocke holsters, smart carry, etc. Try as many as you can and find the one that works best.

    FNP 40 ????

$550 is way high. You can get them New from CDNN for $439. I had the 9 and it was an absolutely great gun. The trigger is really good in both DA and SA. Only reason I sold it was I prefer SAO and finding a FNP SAO is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I have to admit that the dual finish guns are some of the prettiest guns I have ever seen! BTW - the .45 was released last year to rave reviews. Pick up just about any gun rag and you will see it mentioned somewhere.
  25. If you think it has too much recoil or rise you need a heavier gun or smaller caliber. The 19 is about as tame as you're gonna get. You also have the added disadvantage of all the flash being put right up into your eyes. In dim light that is a big problem. The only value i see in any ported gun is in the very large calibers and in some competitive venues.
