  1. All mine have been black/blued with the exception of the FNP9 I had which was 2 tone and mighty pretty I might add. Not really a preference just most of the guns I have owned look better all black IMO.

    Rebel Yell

Man! Sounds like some weird coyotes coming at you. Must have sounded pretty freaky to the Union soldiers to have a whole company coming at you like that. As Billy Idol said, "With a Rebel yell she cried more, more, more!"

    M&P 9mm, Full-Size

I have had mine for a few months now and really like it. So far it is the best handgun I have owned to date. It fits me right and the trigger is very good stock. I will eventually get a trigger job just because I'm a tinkerer. I've had a P99, FNP9, G19, XD9 (2 of them), Sig 229 and the M&P is the best all round so far IMO. Great trigger, weight, capacity, size, options/parts, accuracy, safeties, and looks. Just my .02

    My EMP:up:

Ah, you elitist and you fancy high dollar pistols! (oozing with jealousy!) If I ever had the moolah laying around that would be my dream gun.
  5. Yep, had almost the same identical experience except I kept getting some kid answering the phone who said Della would call me back. Finally she did after my 7th phone call over two weeks and same rigmarole. It is about to be started (2 weeks later than told), It's on the table, it should have gone out already, oh sorry it will go out next week,..... Long story short holster finally came and was nice work, but it was 3 weeks later than when they told me it had shipped. I don't think it was intentional lying, i just don't think they could get their stuff together.
  6. The state doesn't have any economic woes. The problem we have in TN is the same problem DC has.... spending. Bredesen keeps talking about a deficit but the only deficit is in how much they plan on spending as opposed to how much we took in. TN still set income records again and they call it a deficit becasue they wanted to spend a lot more than that. It is the equvilent of me spending my entire paycheck on guns and then claiming I had a deficit towards my bills. Spend on the bills first and luxurary items last.
  7. True, I was over simplifying their lineage.
  8. Don't know about TN, but a lot of great uncrowded camping over in the Ozarks. I always enjoyed canoeing the Buffalo river and camping on the banks along the way. I'm sure there are places here in TN to do the same. Adds a little something different to the regular camping experience. Plus you can catch your own dinner! Nothing like some good trout!

    Today Show

Man that show makes me angry every time I watch it! Dang, Sea Shepherd pirates need to meet up with some real pirates and then meet up with Mark!

    Uselton Arms!

I think the staff comments are just add-ons. The beef with Uselton is his outspoken and deliberate advocacy against individual sales simply for the benefit of his own store. This came from his own mouth. It would be like a car dealer wanting to pass legislation to ban private car sales (but in a much lesser degree). I appreciate your willingness to face the music for your sooon to be father-in-law, but I doubt it will do much to change anyones opinion of him. He is the buisness and as long as you are equated with that buisness he represents you more than you represent yourself. I will never do buisness with Uselton Arms because of Rick and it will never matter how great a person you are. I'm sure there were some nice, down to earth beurocrats in the USSR communist party, but I would still fight them tooth and nail.

    Uselton Arms!

Seriously, I'd rate Gun City above Uselton especially after your two beneficial post. Proof is in the pudding.
  12. Good stuff and yes is the same thing as the Black Talon. It was a politically incorrect mess with no real substance.
  13. EFK, Jarvis, Barsto, and i'm sure a few others.
  14. Of course it is opinion. Everything subjective is.
  15. My brother-in-law and I have the same right hand/left eye issue. When he was going through the Academy he struggled at first. They switched him to a lefty and he set the top marks in the class in pistol and rifle. He later joined SWAT as their sniper/DM/Sharp Shooter/ whatever they are calling them now. He has since finished Marine Officer School and wherever he is now, he set the best marksman groups in the program. All this and he isn't really that much of a gun guy. He's somewhere in Quantico. I may have to switch to lefty!
  16. I've had the same problems and found that certain guns fit me differently and some lessen my short comings while others accentuate my bad habits. Ideally I should be able to handle any firearm the same but I just don't. I chalk this up to the different ergonomics of firearms today. On both my XD's I had to work a little harder to keep from shooting low left. After experimenting with other firearms I found out the grip was so narrow on the XD's I was using poor trigger finger placement and then was breaking my wrist while I jerked the trigger. As much as I liked the XD's I switched platforms and my shooting got much better. Not a knock on the XD as it is my quirks and not the guns. The M&P, Walther P99, and Glock 19 all handle better for me and my quirks.
  17. Umm, first part is statement of opinion, and second is just not true. Not that I realy have anything against it. Hmm, facts maybe? Sale of .270 says that it is one of the most popular hunting calibers on any continent (Africa included) and trajectory and PB numbers say that it is as flat shooting as any of the ones mentioned. In fact it has almost identical numbers to the .264 WinMag over almost all distances and better than the .30's. It also compares favorably to the 7mm with same rise over 200 yrds and a greater MPB (Maximum point blank) range.
  18. A few questions: 1. Apart from the gun and attachment cost, a can is gonna run $400-$500 once you add in the ATF taxes? 2.What are the practical benefits of a silencer on something larger than .22 (say 6.8 SPC AR). 3. Are they legal for hunting or are they a range only type thing? Thanks
  19. This is awesome! Now all I need is some unfortunate animal without 30 holes in it's hide to tan!
  20. I'm just going to go with the .270. Best all round cartridge and as flat shooting as anything out there and can be loaded for varmint up to CPX3.
  21. The ATF is the enforcement arm of the IRS. Most of their warrants are based on tax issues. . It just dawned on me why Dems and liberals don't mind higher taxes.... they just don't pay them!

    Kel-Tec PF-9

Generally KT will make runs of only one model at a time, so there will be sporadic shortages of one model or another at regular intervals. For a while you won't be able to find the P3AT, then the PF9, and so on and so on. They will be back on the market in a few months. Good guns. I liked both of the ones I had. I would look for the HC model and if I couldn't find that one I would send it to Jack Fuselier and let him HC for $25.
  23. So conforming to the American Gestapo is voluntary? The IRS is the most powerful unregulated entity in the United States. They have absolute power without any oversight.
  24. Might want to do a search because theses were discussed in some detail when they first started being imported. That being said they are excellent (if not improved) AK variants. The only real downside may be parts availability as they don't take traditional AK parts.
  25. there is some place in Montana that advertises in the gun rags that sells them. My try looking in the back section.
