  1. I think the point of carrying is to discourage some of the "regular visitors" from visiting the parks!
  2. HaHa, I missed the "0" as well. Yeah, get the Sig!
  3. There are people who perpetuate the theory that Walmart makes Winchester & Remington produce special, cheap, inferior loads just for them so they can undercut competitors pricing. The theory says the powder, casings, and bullets are 2nds and blemishes.
  4. Backstreet Boys!? What about the resurgence of the NKOTB! Anyway, from the reports of the last Crue show by some "I think I'm still 18 and it's 1981" folks, you'd be better off sticking you kid in front of some porn and putting their music on in the background. At least they wouldn't have to see the "ageless wonders" flashing their wonders for the band! Funny how things look different when you become "old and responsible".

    Xtreme Glock Torture

Well with all this talk about burying guns and hiding this and that, there may be some that try it! Just sayin.
  6. and thus an appeal. I really don't fully understand how all the reciprocity works, but do know states care about their interstate agreements. They are viewed similar to treaties form what I understand. I guess we will see. Carrying Wyoming isn't really a big problem though. There are still a lot of trucks with gun racks in their windows there. Ah, the good ol days of riding with your women in the middle of the bench sea, a rifle in the window, and a spotlight mounted in your drivers window.
  7. Because it makes us look like we have less serious standards an permit issuance. It wouldn't be the first time it has happened. West Virginia I think?
  8. Very nice. Glad you found one.
  9. Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder if this won't be reversed on appeal by TN?

    Xtreme Glock Torture

Yeah, there are two Glock "test" and an XD "test" that keep getting recycled. Bottom line is that they are tough and reliable like many other out there and unlike many others out there.
  11. Very interesting read. Thanks.

    Can I ship in state?

Schedule a pickup and let them do the work. Again with long guns it is like shipping anything else. The difficulties come when you are shipping handguns.
  13. ...or you could get an aftermarket barrel and not worry about it. Most reports seem to be issues with the .40 as everyone has said. As long gas it is fully supported, ala XD, you shouldn't have a problem.
  14. My first XD9 (before the DIY kits) I had Springer do his thing and it was very nice. My second I used the Powder River kit with the over travel stop and it was nearly as nice. very easy to install and does exactly what it promised. There was some difference but not so much to justify the cost of shipping the gun off for the full trigger job.
  15. Sorry I assumed people would know. Put it on anything that has been sprayed, clothing, wood, etc. The solution attaches to the skunks chemical spray and neutralizes it as it oxidizes. You could put it in a spray bottle if you make it thin enough.

    Can I ship in state?

Long guns are easy. You can even use the USPS for long guns. Buy one of their triangle tube boxes and some bubble wrap ($5) take it out to the car. Stuff the gun in there, take it back in tape it up and send it for about $10. BTW Fedex is much better than UPS...ask me how I know.
  17. Mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and the chemical reaction neutralizes the smell. Only thing I know of for sure that works.
  18. I will be going for the P22 when I get a chance. From what I've read seem to be pretty good.
  19. Congrats on the HCP and the traditional trip to Walmart!
  20. Nah, like everything, Walmart stocks based on sales. A lot of stores were not making enough on their firearm division to keep them open so they selectively closed low performing divisions. There isn't a very good margin on firearms. Just ask some of the local dealers.
  21. Yeah, that was pretty cool. Neat perspective.
  22. I've always liked those. Glad you are happy.

    NEW ENGLAND FIREARMS

NEF & H&R are the same. These are 870 clones.
  24. Again facts please. Outside of Mormons and Catholics most denominations are cash poor when you look at bottom lines. Not to mention the largest and quickest response teams to natural disasters in the US are the Southern Baptist followed closely by some of the others smaller denominations. While they don't throw as much money, they offer more tangible support (people and necessities) than Red Cross and FEMA. While there is a very small and usually crooked off base group of people you see on TV, they are not representative of 99% of the church's nationwide. In fact the largest protestant denomination in the world is the Southern Baptist and the average congregation size is around 75 people. Also the average salary of full time pastors within the Southern Baptist is $32,000 per year. The average of other minister staff is around $21,000. Keep in mind that is with double the tax rate that normal employees are required to pay. While I'm sure some have been hurt by certain people within a church or church's themselves, myself more than most of you, the church is not a place for perfect people. It is the perfect place for imperfect people to work on those deficiencies. Anyway back on topic....
  25. and that's one of those old models without any child safety devices or locks! Please don't let a child in there!
