Heard a rumor today that Springfield is moving XD production from Croatia to here in TN in the near future. Something about future import issues. Would make a great gun even better. May even eliminate some of the parts issues they have had in the past. Glad you like the XD.

I think every child is different and age isn't so much a factor as when they are ready. My now 4 yr. old began asking questions when she was 3 about hunting and why do I have "those". I told her in an age appropriate way about loving my family and wanting to protect her from some people who may not be nice people. I told her, much like you did, that God gave us the animals to take care of and for food. I also try to instill in her TV and movies are pretend and in real life things are different. For instance, Raccoons aren't going to stand on their hind legs and clap for her if they get cornered while she's trying to pet them. I try to be as honest as she can understand and not tell "lies" to protect her. In the end those "lies" will cause more harm than they prevent IMO.

I had the TFO's on both XD's I had and REALLY liked them. Not so much for night use but because they were also super bright in the day time. I've used Mepro's and Ameriglo's and they just didn't do much for me day time wise. I've heard some limited reports of fiber optics coming loose, but I think that was pretty much proven wrong on the XDtalk forum. I would definitely recommend the green/yellow combination. Makes picking up the front sight a lot easier. On a side note I have some Suresights for an XD9 that I would give someone a good deal on if they want them. Work as advertised. I took them off to save for a future XD I never got.

Well they are Korean gov't contracts and appear to be built on par with Glocks. Wondering how they function under real use.

Looking for some backups and NOBODY has factory 19 15 rnders. The ones you can find are $30! Found these KCI glock mags for $12 at Cope's and wondering if any has any real experience with them. I got a couple and they look pretty good, springa are STIFF, and there doesn't seem to be much difference between the factory ones and these. What do ya'll think? If they work I might stock up for backups.
