  1. I thought it was somewhat "mandatory"?

    Go LSN Warning

If it is the SD, I gotta say it's a pretty cleaver way to get free info on possible stolen guns. That is if they aren't harassing decent folks in the process or "logging" good serial #'s they find.

    New/Old FEG Hi Power

My first handgun was a PJK-9HP. Fantastic HP copy. The only difference between it and the FN HP i had was the notch in the slide for the slide release. I put a C&S extended release and had to modify it a little. Other than that I think all other parts are interchangeable except for the front sights. don't know anything about DOB but you could check with charles Daly as they were the importers.
  4. This has been the only thing that kept me from "slapping"/jerking the trigger. It was fun to shoot like i knew what I was doing!
  5. While i am admittedly no gun expert/tactician/professional I do like to shoot and learn more all the time. I had the benefit of being shown some shooting tips the other day, that at the time I though was no big deal. Went to the range and tried out the technique and WOW, what a difference. I'm sure some of you already knew the tip, but i didn't. I was advised to hold the trigger down after the first shot till I was back on target then let it out until I felt the reset and then pull for the second shot and so on. My groups tightened considerably, my speed increased, and no longer was I having my nagging problem of shooting low left.

    Walmart?

I've been to both Academy's over the last two days and neither have anything but a very limited amount of WWB (read maybe 500 rnds between them) and Franklin had a couple of boxes of Winchesters new SD stuff.
  7. HaHa! Nah, I'm gonna keep this one.
  8. Got to take my new PF9 and Glock 19 to the range yesterday. The PF9 ran like a champ through about 75 rounds and never missed a beat. This is without any F&B. I did clean it pretty good and lube it up. Recoil, as I remembered from my first one, was sharp but nothing bad. I don't want to use this baby as a range gun but it fits the niche I wanted it for - a 9mm pocket gun to back up the 19. I also got to try out the (4) KCI 19 mags I had gotten from Copes. Springs are stiffer than the factory mags and I had to use the loader the first time, but could handload after that. Through 300 rounds I never had an issue. I personally can't tell a difference between these and the factory mags in appearance. I can tell in the price! $12 vs. $26! The KCI's do have a little tab at the front that the Glock's don't have and i may get out the Dremel and grind it down. I don't know how they would run in a real hevey duty scenerio, but so far i'll keep buying them.

    Walmart?

To be honest the Franklin store is the first one I've encountered this issue. Several others here in town have never said anything to me.

    Walmart?

Now I love Walmart and think they are the last bastion of true free market enterprise, but what's up with the Franklin Wally world? went in to get some 9mm Blazer and luckily they had 3 boxes. I said i'd take them and the lady said only one box of any given manufacturers ammo at a time! What!? She said it was corporate policy and pointed to the sign saying they reseved the right to limit quanity. She did let me buy one box of blazer and one WWB. Never heard of that or experienced that at any other Walmart. What gives? BTW - please don't turn this into a we hate/love Walmart thing.
  11. The difference between an AK and an AR is like the difference between a 1979 CJ-7 and a 1997 Wrangler. In a SHTF thingy, I want the CJ! That being said, I really miss my AK, but the selling price was just too good! After I get the 6.8 upper done, I'll be getting another AK..... If i still can. If not it won't matter too much. I probably couldn't get ammo for it anyway.
  12. ASP in Joelton let's you shoot your shotty in their indoor range. No slugs though.

    9mm 1911's???

While I'd like a 1911 in 9mm due to the trigger, the Hi Power is Mr Browning's perfection of the 1911 and it's designed around the 9mm. Other than that, I've heard great things about the EMP.
  14. If you have a valid permit it doesn't matter.
  15. Nice observation. I do think it is a good idea, however. am I reading it right? There are 12 million + votes?
  16. While I have absolutely no first hand experience with any of your questions (ownership wise), I'll throw my opinion out there anyway! If you are going to carry, I'd say the Glock: capacity, durability, cost, and size. However a nice 1911 is, well..... a 1911!. As far as Frontier, do a search. I've seen mainly negative comments on them. Good luck on your search!
  17. Wow I bet that's a nice one! If only I could see it what your showing.
  18. You don't have to say anything or answer any questions of any sort. Everything you say will be in the report. Give them your license and let them do their thing. after watching some of the lawyer videos and being at the academy, I'm not saying anything. Not gonna be difficult, but if I'm under arrest I'm not saying a word. BTW a traffic stop is an arrest.
  19. Hope she wasn't six yrs old! I saw that a while back and it moves me everytime I hear it. I also like the phone salesman that looks really out of place till he sings and then it's.....WOW!

    My new Glock

Nice. Glad you feel like you got a good price. IT's a rarity there.
  22. +1! Even if it is true it is still a false market increase. Kinda like a faux inflation.
  23. Don't know if they are must haves but on the two 19's I've had/have I added grip plugs, Ghost Ultimate 3.5 trigger kit, and smooth face trigger. Must have are more mags.
  24. Nice steelharp. I could never get into this new stuff they call country, but i sure like the old (real) country music. Very nice. If you are worried about your weight, you might want to avoid shirts with arrows pointing to your gut!
  25. I bet they will justify it with the new cost of the so called "stimulus" bill.
