  1. Tim that's great! I doubt they would sign such a thing, but it does put it into context. As to the other remarks, if asked I would tell him/her (Dr.) to check your "Lemon Squeezer"!
  2. Why is it that this kind of crap always gets in these threads any time there is mention of cops? Thanks to the overwhelming number of good guys doing their jobs!
  3. I have an aunt in Arkansas who was a family services employee who handled child abuse claims. She is very nice but her life is a testament to bad decisions.... over and over and over. As much as I love her, if those are the kind of people who make the decision unilaterally to take kids into custody....... I am deeply troubled and will not answer any questions or volunteer any info on how my family is conducted.
  4. That was pretty good.
  5. Old argument they have been trying for years. If they can clear guns as medical devices they can be regulated as health concerns to public safety and sidestep 2a and every other current law.
  6. A technicality, but those aren't AK's. Completely different systems and internals. Parts are not interchangeable. They are extremely nice guns. If only parts were more available.

    Glock 20 (10mm)

That argument is based entirely on emotional fear of a possibility. I again will point out it has never been used in a court case I know of. The only court case didn't invovled the actual gun involved in the incident. In fact you could argue the exact opposite, that as a responsible gun owner you wanted the most control and precision possible to avoid hitting innocent bystanders. That being said, Jh get what you want and try it out. If it's not for you then sell it to someone else. I have bought and tried numerous things people raved about and some that folks hated the very thought of. Point is i found I like some from and hate some from each category. It's all personal.
  8. I too had the P11 and hated the trigger as well. Since I've had two PF9's and really liked them. The trigger is significantly improved. It is much smoother and lighter than the P11. It is still long, but that is just part of it. The PF9 is more like a decent revolver than the P11 ever was IMO.
  9. According to the Perfectionist;) anything that uses polymer and is striker fired is a copy of Glock!

    Building an AK

It's a lot easier and cheaper to buy it already put together. That is unless you have the proper tools and jigs.
  11. I'm gonna get one to go with the my Claymore hitch cover, Glock stickers, Browning Buck stickers, faux bullet holes on my doors and windows, and Rebel flag window decal! Oh, and when I can finally put my gun rack in my back window, I'll be all over that too!
  12. I bet that baby jumps a little!
  13. My Explorer has the perfect place built in. In the back it has floor covers that act like doors to shallow compartments. Perfect!
  14. This is my old one that Magic now has, but my new one is just like it except with browning roll marks.
  15. I might add Centuries generally are fine, you just have to watch out for canted sights and things of that nature. If AK's can be assembled and work in countries like Chad anything made here is gonna be GTO. Just check sights and gas blocks for cant and get you a big hammer for any future adjustments. FEG/Hungarian stuff is excellent, especially with the thicker receiver, but they lack a chrome lined barrel. The ideal setup is a 1.5 reciever with a chrome lined barrel IMO.

    Glock 20 (10mm)

I just put a LW in my G19. I like the chamber support better and the traditional rifling. Glock claims their poly rifling gives better accuracy but that is debatable. In the G20 I'd switch to a better chamber supported barrel IMO.
  17. Arsenal are some of the best. Polytechs are good and a lot of folks like Maadi's. The Saiga's are true Russian so you know they will last and are great guns. The thing about AK's is that you can't get a "bad" one (Century the exception). The question comes down to who built it and that is where the debate usually lies.
  18. I know this might not help, but I would box up that little gizmo and send it back ASAP. IMO it is a dangerous proposition to insert your finger into the trigger to remove that type of safety. Just sayin!
  19. You could tell that was trouble just the way she was holding it!
  20. I've had two uppers from them and they are top notch. The shipping delays are not their fault. They, like everyone else, can't get parts to put together or ship to anyone. When they did have parts available their shipping was fast. Every time I've ordered from them I found they under-promised and over-performed.
  21. Why not a Hi-Power? It's what Browning designed the 1911 to be and it is built around the 9mm. Sure the trigger argument will come up, but for comp you are going to be spending a few nickels on the 1911 anyway so that nullifies that. The trick setup is to get one of the .40 Hi-Power's and convert it to a 9mm. I've had two and they are awesome! Reliable, ergonomics, capacity, accurate and you don't have to worry about all the 1911 issues you will have.
  22. Your instructor is an idiot. They have to be posted just like any other building.
  23. Those look sharp. I might try one of these.
