  1. on the FNP9, CDNN had them for $429 when i got mine with 3 mags and the accessory kit. i don't know how current that is anymore.
  2. I've had two XD9's and I loved them both. the difference would be the XD's are blocky and heavy feeling compared to the M&P. Triggers can be very good on both with minimal work and after market parts (sears, transfer bars mainly). The XD also has a higher bore axis which I don't care for. They are both great. Mainly it's prefernce. You can't go wrong either way. The FNP9 is also a great gun if you like DA/SA. I loved mine but just couldn't get used to the DA pull. That being said it was one of the best stock DA pulls I've ever felt. Negatives for me on the FNP was holster availability (still slim), magazine cost ($50), and the rather large mag base pad (although I'm told there is an easy cure for that).
  3. Mainly trigger, size, available accessories, feel, customer support, resale value, and it's a better gun all around. The 250 was designed for PD as an easy and economical way to fit as many needs as possible. The compromise they had to make was in function. The 250 isn't bad, but all things being equal I think the 250 fits some large departments needs but not the vast majority of the general public.
  4. The P250 is not akin to the 226 except they are made by the same company. It's not bad but is' just not a 226. I would highly recommend the M&P. I think in the long run he would enjoy it a lot more. Not to mention it is much easier to sale if he so desires something different down the road.
  5. Wow! I didn't see that coming. Should be interesting.
  6. I've got a Millet DMS-1 and love it. I can use it as a two eye open red dot or turn it up to x4 and use like a regular scope. I have heard nothing but good things about them. Run under $200. Millett 1-4x24 DMS Tactical 30mm Riflescope
  7. I've seen your post. All I was saying is maybe you got mixed up in his mind and he mistook you with some of the jerks over there. I never saw anything negative from you.
  8. I think you are an anomaly. I've had exceptional service both time I've dealt with Kevin. I will say on the XD forums he was getting a lot of grief over the wait times and some folks were making some uncalled statements about Kevin personally. He had did finally respond to some of those folks and cancelled their orders since all they did was bad mouth and complain him and his company. Maybe you got taken out of context with some of the jerks over there.
  9. You are obviously single! Haha, just kidding nice guns!
  10. What you don't like having to read someone else's endless drivel of semantics and philosophical debate! Just kidding I read most of your stuff.
  11. Which model is that and how is the cant?
  12. If that is true then, we as gun owners would never have gotten 2a opened up like it has recently, the USA would not exist, no empire that has fallen would have fallen. Think about it. It is the small ground swells of justice rooted in these "rights" that have led revolutions and nation building. It is moral relativism that has brought them down.
  13. Jamie, your assertion just isn't true. While there can be a temporary swing in moral relativism, every society that has ever existed has always swung back to a set of universal principles that hold true throughout the world. Murder is an example. Think of it like the free market. There are absolutes in control that dictate flow. While folks can try to alter them and "regulate" them out they will eventually self correct. Why? they are universal truth principals. and that is my point. The framers were not deciding some new "truths" that hadn't been seen before but that they were simply recognizing as a society that these extensional universal truths of life would be our governing force. I'm not at odds with you as much as you may think.
  14. That's moral relativism and is at philosophical odds with the framers understanding of "rights." The framers and many here believe that there are absolutes of right and wrong that exist regardless of personal consent. For instance, even if a society decides that murder is legal it is irrelevant to the fact it is always wrong. Just because a majority rules does not make them right. That is Fascism - might is right. True democracy is flawed because of this issue and exactly why we wanted a republic instead of pure democracy. When man becomes morally relativist, society will fail. In fact I heard Michale Savage discussing this very thing tonight concerning the summer of '69 and the fall of American morality. There has to be an extensional rule of law that is not subject to consent. However you are correct in your frustration that these "rights" can become subjective when a large enough group of individuals are willing to rebel against absolutes and force their hedonistic will on others. This is what is known as persecution. Get ready.

  16. Maybe it's me, but I don't see anything? I love looking at the EMP's. Beautiful guns!
  17. I had one of the Dakota defenders for an XD9 and that thing was beautiful! It worked extremely well too. I just wish he could turn them out quicker, because the mixture of quality and price can't be matched.

    Glock Safety Question

I think that is an option for departments that may require that type of thing. I have never seen one myself and don't know if it is even available to the general public on a one gun basis.

    Zombie Crisis

Well, OK. I guess I did get it then. I just though maybe there was a more specific definition or origin. Over thinking at 4 am will do that!

    Zombie Crisis

Although I've heard zombie talk for the longest time, I guess I never got it. What is the etymology of "zombies" in gun culture? Just seems weird to me.
  21. Don't you know that a defensive shotgun doesn't have to be aimed. Point and shoot my friend! Seriously though, on my Mossy 500 I had to try a few different stocks to get the right fit and feel for me.

    What to Buy

If your going for play things that may not be a round much longer get the CETME and lots of ammo! All the others will still be here for next years return.
  23. Good post. My family is in the fine dining business and deal with a lot of politicians and "star" types so it's not as much of an issue for us, but we are glad non the less. I think the best way to "win" after restaurant carry is law, is for nothing to change except for more business. If we get a lot of badgers, HCP Badge wearing fools who feel the need to badger people with their rights, then it will only confirm the liberals mistaken idea we are a bunch of redneck hillbilly fools looking for "bar fights" and shootouts.
