  1. Lower taxes mean MORE revenue for the state, not the other way around. It is that kind of government thinking that is leading us to Socialism. The more money in my pockets the more products we can spend it on = more tax revenue. Maybe those "underpaid" government teachers need to bone up on their economics and actually teach. Then they would have the resources they say they need. Of course it always amazes me how generations past invented such amazing things when teachers had next to no "resources". Teaches of today have access to nearly anything available and large percentages of students graduate and can't read.
  2. Unless you've trained extensively in Israeli armed forces most everyone needs to carry chambered. Most of us train enough to handle a normal situation, but I'm willing to bet most real world happening are not normal. Meaning speed and ease are as important as anything.
  3. Their big, ugly (understatement), heavy, CHEAP (price), lifetime warranty (actually really good service), and they work.

    My Perfect Gun?!

They are big but they are flat and work pretty well. You also have the option of using the factory installed DA/SA decocker lever, or the supplied SA saftey lever. I'm going with the SA saftey lever. Cocked and locked. They are running $415 ATM before fees, shipping, etc. The mags are 16 rnds as they are and I'm told some extensions are in the works.

    My Perfect Gun?!

It's one of those guns that doesn't photograph well. It looks a lot better in person. It's not for everyone, but it's about the only polymer SA with re-strike capability, G19 size, and good trigger reset that I know of. So far it's exactly what I wanted in a pistol.
  6. Of the pistols I've had, I've always dreamed of being ably to combine the things I like into one package. Here's what I like. SIG/FNP - Hammer fired, retrike capable HiPower/FNP - SA trigger(once refined) Glock 19/P99 - size (perfect) M&P/HP/P99 - Ergo's M&P/G19/XD - reset XD/G19 - reliability XD/M&P/G19/P99/FNP - Capacity Kel-Tec - customer service. I'm sure theres more, but today I think I found it. The new CZ P07! Only negative so far is lack of holster options (ATM) and it's a tad heavier than the G19. Can't wait to get it to the range and see how she does! More to follow:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
  7. Federal HST and Ranger-T (Black Talon) are impressve rounds. I'm guessing .45 equivalents of these rounds are comparable. Here are some interesting reads with pics. - Pistol Cartridges (9x19mm Luger) - terminal 9mm luger
  8. I'm hoping Jackson does as good a job with it as Lord of the Rings. The LOR trilogy is a protestant Christian allegory, yet i thought it was intelligently done to where it made you think and enjoy rather than feel preached at. could go either way I guess.
  9. I think it could be pretty good ...... unless it's some covert social commentary film.
  10. I can second the Bullard holster. Very nice, good price, and it "was" quick. seems like a lot of people are needing good holsters these days. Great for the 2A, bad for us in line!

    ar-15 trigger

I've heard good things about the Rock River triggers. Del-Ton, Inc. AR-15 Rock River Arms AR-15 2 Stage Trigger
  12. and 2 to 3 time the price for equal work.
  13. Is there a way to universally turn off linkback notifications or are they tied in to thread subscriptions?
  14. I sure hope he's not leaving the business. If it weren't for the waits, he's the only one I buy from...leather wise.
  15. One of those links in TNMitch's weird thread, I think the Calguns one, Kevin said he was closing the business. When I went to his site it it was pretty much closed down.
  16. Those look good. It would also be funny if everyone was wearing a tag with TGO David on it!
  17. Man! Looks like one of my favorite custom holster guys, K&D, is closing. I know he's had some health issues, but I sure hope he will sell the business or patents. Very sad. I was looking forward to ordering some more holster in the future.
  18. Just trying to be humorous.
  19. Man Hex, you get the good Positive Poster Award! I think TGODavid nailed it in your sig.
  20. There would be for places like CA, IL, and NY
  21. It's hard to see a cloud of dust a mile away and hear a shot 2 seconds after the bullet hits your buddy. Good question though.
  22. That's the America I know and love. Not to be negative but it is truly sad every soldier returning home was not afforded the same honor. The vets a long the way definitely choked me up.
  23. macville raised some interesting points. I guess theoretically, folks in NY or CA could get permits in Utah and bypass their stupid laws all together. That would be a huge win. Just not sure it balances the negatives for us already in free states.
  24. Given the political landscape in Nashville, I'd say that's a huge step in the right direction. Better than none at all for sure. I also hope it's an indicator the good pressure is on!
  25. What I don't understand is that there are next to zero instances of any shootings at Wendy's or Burger King so what makes places like any different. Also, it is not in the restaurant that I want my gun with me, it is on the way in and on the way out.
