  1. .... and you'd be wrong. This heading towards another caliber debate but once again let's let the fact get in the way: one stop with ball .45 - 63%, 9mm - 61%. Top JHP loads .45 - 92%, 9mm - 89%. but you keep living in Jeff Coopers imaginary land where .45 ball ammo is 91% effective (he believed it was). Please read this with a smile on my face. I have no problem with either. It's all in good fun.
  2. Stopping power is putting the bullet where it's supposed to go, statistically speaking.

    FN FNP 40SW yes no?

Trigger is very good in both DA and SA.

    FN FNP 40SW yes no?

I had the FNP9 and thought it was one of the best DA/SA guns I had shot. Even though the DA was very good I just don't like DA so I sold it. If you like it I would say go for it.
  5. I'd sure like to see that letter. If they are indeed doing that, they would be opening themselves up to all kinds of lawsuits.
  6. Deep pockets?! If by that you mean high overhead and extremely low margins then yeah. They have liability insurance becasue it would destroy them personally and professionally without it.
  7. As one in the business, strictly speaking no. However, no matter what happens on the property we are probably going to get sued and then it becomes a fine print case between a gold digging lawyer, the insurance company, and us.
  8. In no particular order and I had six 1. Size/weight- I like a compact with full size capacity ala CZ P07/Glock19 2. Reliable 3. SA or striker fired 4. Grip/ergos 5. low bore axis. 6. 9mm - when I have money 357 SIG!
  9. My guess is liability and marketing. With the sue happy anti's out there if they "market" to "civilians" they could appear negligent. ON a little more sinister note - limiting availability lets them keep higher prices. It also allows them to make sure they have enough to fill lucrative LE orders first. No laws regarding this. Buy away!
  10. While I had no love for Vick before or after this incident, I do think he got rail roaded. I don't want to see him in the NFL again, but I didn't want to see him there before.
  11. +1. What he did was awful, but mostly stupid. It's amazing that pedophiles get less time. What a world.
  12. Yeah, that's the trick with about any ammo ATM. i usually get mine online from: - Streichers.com Police Equipment Supply Headquarters - 800-367-3763 or M.A.H. SUPPLIES LLC. I don't think I have ever seen a local guy carry any of this. The new Winchester PDX stuff also looks good.
  13. I remember one day in High school... um... there was "a guy" who sat in the back of the room that let a silent but VERY deadly one go. It slowly creeped along the floor until it had the entire room entrenched. Then as if on cue, it began to rise and fog the entire class all at once. Being that my buddy.... I mean the guys friend, was sitting near the center of the room "the guy" pointed to his friend, as people were looking around for a source, and laughed. This guys friend turned all shades of red as he decried any involvment in the horrible stinch that had been loosed. What was funny, the more his freind denied it the more people goaded him about it! One of the poudest days in this "guys" high school prank life!
  14. Lower taxes mean MORE revenue for the state, not the other way around. It is that kind of government thinking that is leading us to Socialism. The more money in my pockets the more products we can spend it on = more tax revenue. Maybe those "underpaid" government teachers need to bone up on their economics and actually teach. Then they would have the resources they say they need. Of course it always amazes me how generations past invented such amazing things when teachers had next to no "resources". Teaches of today have access to nearly anything available and large percentages of students graduate and can't read.
  15. Unless you've trained extensively in Israeli armed forces most everyone needs to carry chambered. Most of us train enough to handle a normal situation, but I'm willing to bet most real world happening are not normal. Meaning speed and ease are as important as anything.
  16. Their big, ugly (understatement), heavy, CHEAP (price), lifetime warranty (actually really good service), and they work.

    My Perfect Gun?!

They are big but they are flat and work pretty well. You also have the option of using the factory installed DA/SA decocker lever, or the supplied SA saftey lever. I'm going with the SA saftey lever. Cocked and locked. They are running $415 ATM before fees, shipping, etc. The mags are 16 rnds as they are and I'm told some extensions are in the works.

    My Perfect Gun?!

It's one of those guns that doesn't photograph well. It looks a lot better in person. It's not for everyone, but it's about the only polymer SA with re-strike capability, G19 size, and good trigger reset that I know of. So far it's exactly what I wanted in a pistol.
  19. Of the pistols I've had, I've always dreamed of being ably to combine the things I like into one package. Here's what I like. SIG/FNP - Hammer fired, retrike capable HiPower/FNP - SA trigger(once refined) Glock 19/P99 - size (perfect) M&P/HP/P99 - Ergo's M&P/G19/XD - reset XD/G19 - reliability XD/M&P/G19/P99/FNP - Capacity Kel-Tec - customer service. I'm sure theres more, but today I think I found it. The new CZ P07! Only negative so far is lack of holster options (ATM) and it's a tad heavier than the G19. Can't wait to get it to the range and see how she does! More to follow:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
  20. Federal HST and Ranger-T (Black Talon) are impressve rounds. I'm guessing .45 equivalents of these rounds are comparable. Here are some interesting reads with pics. - Pistol Cartridges (9x19mm Luger) - terminal 9mm luger
  21. I'm hoping Jackson does as good a job with it as Lord of the Rings. The LOR trilogy is a protestant Christian allegory, yet i thought it was intelligently done to where it made you think and enjoy rather than feel preached at. could go either way I guess.
  22. I think it could be pretty good ...... unless it's some covert social commentary film.
  23. I can second the Bullard holster. Very nice, good price, and it "was" quick. seems like a lot of people are needing good holsters these days. Great for the 2A, bad for us in line!
