Well for one it does nothing to protect you. Only gives the ATF or whoever is tracing more bread crumbs. It also possibly puts you in hot water becasue it DOES link you to a possible scenario that is hard to dismiss. Not to wear the Tin Foil but if the ATF wants you they can get you. Kinda like the IRS. If there is no form you just deny it, or "I don't recall" and they've got no where to go and no physical link. The second and most practical, is that I feel 2A is already infringed enough. Bowing to a non-exsistant threat from the ATF/Police/Government so that you can comply with a law you didn't break on a freedom they have no buisness bugging you with is principly wrong. BTW - I don't take it personal or feel mad about the "form" I just think it's stupid in principle.
  2. a friend of my wife said she walked down the isle to "My Sharona":stare:
  3. You haven't jumped till you've done it Aussie style! Course from that picture I wouldn't recommend Aussie style. Rappelling is a lot of fun. Wish I had a job where that was a normal part of it.

I don't use it and if you showed up with it without telling me first I'd be PO'ed. If you tell me up front I'll say no deal.
  5. That's the first I've heard either way on the SIG. I've asked and nobody can say yet. Westwindmike, I'd mount it on a Bp-02 or similar over the cover so the heat wouldn't be a problem. I also like the Larue but it has parallax past 50 yds, Or so I've read.
  6. what happened to the other post?
  7. what's your thoughts on the Bushnells response to the Aimpoint T1? I love the AP but at $500-$600 i can't hardly justify that on an AK. Bushnell - Trophy 3 M.O.A. Red Dot [731303]
  8. and you will be pleased to read this tomorrow when you clear your head... and pants!

    Sickening...

She had gone to stay with her parents. The dad was her boyfirend and evidently didn't know her very well.
  10. Watching some of the Trials Bicyclist is very impressive.
  11. .... and you'd be wrong. This heading towards another caliber debate but once again let's let the fact get in the way: one stop with ball .45 - 63%, 9mm - 61%. Top JHP loads .45 - 92%, 9mm - 89%. but you keep living in Jeff Coopers imaginary land where .45 ball ammo is 91% effective (he believed it was). Please read this with a smile on my face. I have no problem with either. It's all in good fun.
  12. Stopping power is putting the bullet where it's supposed to go, statistically speaking.

    FN FNP 40SW yes no?

Trigger is very good in both DA and SA.

    FN FNP 40SW yes no?

I had the FNP9 and thought it was one of the best DA/SA guns I had shot. Even though the DA was very good I just don't like DA so I sold it. If you like it I would say go for it.
  15. I'd sure like to see that letter. If they are indeed doing that, they would be opening themselves up to all kinds of lawsuits.
  16. Deep pockets?! If by that you mean high overhead and extremely low margins then yeah. They have liability insurance becasue it would destroy them personally and professionally without it.
  17. As one in the business, strictly speaking no. However, no matter what happens on the property we are probably going to get sued and then it becomes a fine print case between a gold digging lawyer, the insurance company, and us.
  18. In no particular order and I had six 1. Size/weight- I like a compact with full size capacity ala CZ P07/Glock19 2. Reliable 3. SA or striker fired 4. Grip/ergos 5. low bore axis. 6. 9mm - when I have money 357 SIG!
  19. My guess is liability and marketing. With the sue happy anti's out there if they "market" to "civilians" they could appear negligent. ON a little more sinister note - limiting availability lets them keep higher prices. It also allows them to make sure they have enough to fill lucrative LE orders first. No laws regarding this. Buy away!
  20. While I had no love for Vick before or after this incident, I do think he got rail roaded. I don't want to see him in the NFL again, but I didn't want to see him there before.
  21. +1. What he did was awful, but mostly stupid. It's amazing that pedophiles get less time. What a world.
  22. Yeah, that's the trick with about any ammo ATM. i usually get mine online from: - Streichers.com Police Equipment Supply Headquarters - 800-367-3763 or M.A.H. SUPPLIES LLC. I don't think I have ever seen a local guy carry any of this. The new Winchester PDX stuff also looks good.
  23. I remember one day in High school... um... there was "a guy" who sat in the back of the room that let a silent but VERY deadly one go. It slowly creeped along the floor until it had the entire room entrenched. Then as if on cue, it began to rise and fog the entire class all at once. Being that my buddy.... I mean the guys friend, was sitting near the center of the room "the guy" pointed to his friend, as people were looking around for a source, and laughed. This guys friend turned all shades of red as he decried any involvment in the horrible stinch that had been loosed. What was funny, the more his freind denied it the more people goaded him about it! One of the poudest days in this "guys" high school prank life!
