  1. Yeah, I thought it was pretty bold.
  2. I plan on it as well. Winchester, Remington, Wolf, Cor-Bon, and I'm sure some others are now making hunting loads for the AK. From what I've seen the lighter loads 124g actually do better than the 154g loads. The fact that so many hunting loads are coming out in x39 says it is becoming a fairly common hunting round. It is especially well suited for hunting in TN, with our thick underbrush and shorter "hollow" ranges.
  3. For those of you looking for a job, here ya go! DEFEND President Obama's Health Care Plan over August Recess! $500+/wk So much for the phony "right" wing protesters.
  4. Welcome Nathan from Nashville from Nathan in Nashville!
  5. SSA is releasing a "plinking" 90g round that is $13 per 20. It's not that far off 5.56 these days. Reloading cost are the same as any other round plus you have the benefit of using widely available .270 bullets. Good luck finding 5.56 these days as well!
  6. touche! I wish I did.
  7. Kinda like a guy I know who can't decide between 1911's, M&P's of multiple flavors, and his Glock 19? Just messing with you and yes, I know I'm gun fickle. The p99 was before I learned some things that changed what I look for in a trigger. I just sent mine back with the "bulge". It doesn't change my feelings for the gun unless they find a major flaw. It still worked. I just wanted to make sure since it is a new platform.
  8. I have a P07 and it is a fantastic gun. You can read my reviews of it as well as my opinion of it as the perfect carry gun IMO. It does have one big drawback ATM, holster selection. Currently only two makers make a holster for it. I'm sure this will change fairly quickly, but it is a consideration. I have also had several G19's and they are fine carry guns as well. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/25100-cz-p07-range-report.html http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/24726-my-perfect-gun.html
  9. Yeah it's a very low paying job where you are expected to act like a cop without authority in the event something happens and yet be a greeter the rest of the time. Then no matter what happens you will be blamed in some way. It's fun like that.
  10. Irregardless of your opinion it is a word according to Merriam-Webster. Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less <input onclick="return au('irrega01', 'irregardless');" class="au" title="Listen to the pronunciation of irregardless" type="button"> Pronunciation: \ˌir-i-ˈgärd-ləs\ Function: adverb Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless Date: circa 1912 nonstandard : regardless usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.†There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.
  11. Same here. A security guard has the same detaining authority as a private citizen.
  12. What? I can't understand your title or post.
  13. Looks good and I'm glad you could get some nice stuff and help out Glenn as well. Looks great!
  14. Irregardless, in my mind if you have to pull the trigger the perp better be needing to be dead. Beanbags etc are for cops and prison guards who are overseen by bureaucrats. Just my .02
  15. Of course that's assuming nobody else was carrying concealed or at least that you personally saw. It also does not take into account the numerous police, Secret Service, FBI, Special agents, and any other entity there carrying. I would attest that there are probably more people carrying firearms at a political event than any other public gathering this side of a gunshow and yet, political violence is next to nill.
  16. conjecture based on.........? The left needs no encouragement to push their agenda. They'd push gun control if there were zero crime. Why yes I did!
  17. This is the same talking head that said Socialist is the new word for n*****.
  18. I did find it it ironic their whole rant was about not being able to have civil debates becasue of dead end terminology, while using the word birthers over and over to describe the other side.
  19. I would disagree. The transaction took place across state lines and traveled across state lines. While you may be technically correct, I can almost assure you the BATF would heartily disagree and delightfully collect their taxes and your soul!
  20. Just talked to Mike Macedonia (sp?) and I've got to say, the guy sounds great. He's not taking any work for a month or so, but I will definitely be giving him any AK work I need done in the future. To say his prices were fair would be an understatement. He also said that when he takes in a build or work it is in and out in 5 days or less! Very Nice! Now don't go gumming up his work load till I get my stuff done!
  21. A nice AK and forget about all the accoutrement! If your stuck on an AR I'd go with a 6.8 variety. It's perfect for your range, has the same ballistics as the .308 (within 500 yrds),land you can actually hunt more game with it than the 5.56. Just an all round more versatile caliber.
  22. What?! You mean Stalin was a black guy?!
  23. Got this from the unnamed forum and it is hilarious....... and spot on! Louisiana Gun
  24. I've had two uppers form them and have been very pleased. If they have cleared their backlog, I would not hesitate to order from them again.
