  1. Well, I guess you can go def with your head up someone's rear!
  2. If you are still concerned, make sure you go to an outdoor range. If anything I'd be concerned about air content. Outside is much better all round.
  3. Did you see the video? I'm pretty sure he bounced off a van, parked car, and building before it burst into flames. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's gonna be totaled.
  4. Then Sunday's would be perfect. Sabbath is Saturday. Just messing with you. Being that Sunday and Wednesdays are both church days for me, Sunday PM would be more manageable ATM. Great idea BTW!
  5. a 22 oz. .45? How's recoil? Looks good. Hope you have fun at the range!
  6. I don't find it a problem myself and I think you got it right about carrying unchambered. One of the things I like about the P07 is that it is hammer fired. Theoretically a little safer than a striker fired weapon, although striker fired malgunctions (usually drop related) are rare these days with firing pin block safties.
  7. Didn't see the movie did you? The invasion started with illegal immigration across the Mexican and Canadian borders. It was actually fairly plausible when it was explained.
  8. No kidding! At least one person should have had one. Even most sniper teams keep a secondary hi-cap weapon available.
  9. I am one of those that have a CZ P07. The problems you are reading about are a very slim minority. They've had far less issues than any of the big makers current offerings. SR9's, M&P's, SIG's newest have all had recalls or major problems with their first runs. That being said, I have yet to hear of a CZ customer who was not made right and very quickly. I think there are a total of 7 reports from P07 owners on the CZ forum that have sent theirs back, mine included. It is a fantastic gun and should work well for you for the same reason it is my only carry gun. Don't let a few teething issues scare you off a pistol from a company with a great reputation and a great pistol.
  10. Semi-related..... this is why I want as many 9mm boolits as I can carry. Big and powerful only works if you can hit with it! Those big doubles didn't seem so great when that big boy was charging (referring to the lion)!
  11. Isn't this the same guy who wished Dick Cheney would just die or be killed?
  12. I'm not really excited about this. The original has nearly as much relevance today as any remake. The original writer and director is a hard line conservative and has been blackballed in Hollywood, so maybe he just needs some money. I pray he doesn't sell out.
  13. Maybe at 5 ft from the muzzle. The 30-30 starts loosing velocity pretty fast as opposed to the x39. Even in 154g the x39 has better downrange performance than the 30-30. Now if you are using the Leverlution stuff that is definitely better downrange. However, they are still considered equals in terminal performance.
  14. too bad we can't use the Yugo steel core stuff. Seems to work really well.
  15. My sister was in charge of the forest in Florida and she was telling us a few weeks ago that a lot of people get them as pets and when they get too big they turn them back out to "nature". Problem is they don't know how to live wild and go looking in campgrounds ect for food. It's all fun and games till some retirees precious little ****zu gets eaten!
  16. Yeah, I thought it was pretty bold.
  17. I plan on it as well. Winchester, Remington, Wolf, Cor-Bon, and I'm sure some others are now making hunting loads for the AK. From what I've seen the lighter loads 124g actually do better than the 154g loads. The fact that so many hunting loads are coming out in x39 says it is becoming a fairly common hunting round. It is especially well suited for hunting in TN, with our thick underbrush and shorter "hollow" ranges.
  18. For those of you looking for a job, here ya go! DEFEND President Obama's Health Care Plan over August Recess! $500+/wk So much for the phony "right" wing protesters.
  19. Welcome Nathan from Nashville from Nathan in Nashville!
  20. SSA is releasing a "plinking" 90g round that is $13 per 20. It's not that far off 5.56 these days. Reloading cost are the same as any other round plus you have the benefit of using widely available .270 bullets. Good luck finding 5.56 these days as well!
  21. Kinda like a guy I know who can't decide between 1911's, M&P's of multiple flavors, and his Glock 19? Just messing with you and yes, I know I'm gun fickle. The p99 was before I learned some things that changed what I look for in a trigger. I just sent mine back with the "bulge". It doesn't change my feelings for the gun unless they find a major flaw. It still worked. I just wanted to make sure since it is a new platform.
  22. I have a P07 and it is a fantastic gun. You can read my reviews of it as well as my opinion of it as the perfect carry gun IMO. It does have one big drawback ATM, holster selection. Currently only two makers make a holster for it. I'm sure this will change fairly quickly, but it is a consideration. I have also had several G19's and they are fine carry guns as well. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/25100-cz-p07-range-report.html http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/24726-my-perfect-gun.html
  23. Yeah it's a very low paying job where you are expected to act like a cop without authority in the event something happens and yet be a greeter the rest of the time. Then no matter what happens you will be blamed in some way. It's fun like that.
