  1. There are a whole lot of options there. From what I understand the internals are factory direct from the folks that make them for the other guys. With mine it came with a normal bezel crown, which is what I use.
  2. How long had it been sitting up? sounds like moisture got on the surface.
  3. Very true, but I landed on my right hip (the exact spot I usually carry) and slide for about 15 yrds. I thinking along the lines of why people don't like SOB carry.
  4. I've got a DPMS AR multi tool I'd sell you. I've gotten rid of the AR's and gone back to the AK. I only need a big hammer for it!
  5. After my wreck I am SOOOO glad I didn't have my pistol on my side. It would have done a tremendous amount of damage to my hip if not worse. I had it in my shoulder bag. One of the Maxpedition bags or similar would be a great idea and give you quicker access to it IMO. You can always keep you holster on and transition to it if you need. I know most guys carry on them, I'd just be hesitant after my experience with the pavement.
  6. It's great insight into the the lefts tactics though. Use strong patriotic, religious, military, and family themes and images to suck people into a leftist CPAC. They can't just say, "this is who we are stand with us!"
  7. It's Norman Lear's non-profit, whatever that means to you.
  8. I would say it is mandatory.....now whether or not it is prohibited is another matter.
  9. .... and how does a guy like this have two handguns, a sawed off pistol grip shotgun, and that much drugs in his car and only get a year? ATF should have had this guy for minimum of 10!? What's with that?
  10. I know (of) Gordo. He's a wannabe. The whole BP thing is a joke in the gang world. The ones I would be worried about is MS13. We have some Crypt and Bloods stuff, but it's fairly low key. A lot of that Graffiti they shot was over by where my old church was near downtown. We had a good mess of those kids coming in and out. Akin, the redheaded guy, patrolled our area a lot. Mostly at night (Wedgewood/Houston). I'll tell you this, growing up in Memphis and then being in the inner city if Nashville for the last 5 years, Memphis is in a whole other league. We can't hold a candle to them. That's not to say the Nashville boys can't do some damage, but it's two different scales.
  11. With a powered scope you won't see the front sight and it will not affect you vision. However, If you just don't like the F-Type front sight it is fairly easy to remove. Two pins and your done. Your fron sight is also the gas block, so it will have to be replaced. You can put a flipup FS or a low pro gas block and be done with it. I personally like a flip up front sight just in case. http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Iron_Sights___Gas_Blocks.html.
  12. Had to buy the building permit.
  13. Just saw that G&L has a Cold Steel tommy up there. It was a pretty good looking piece of steel.
  14. Yeah, my existing house is small, 768 sq. ft., and the addition is 300 sq. ft. to the side. We tried avoiding codes, but they patrol our area pretty heavily.
  15. It's an addition of a master bedroom, bathroom, and laundry closet.
  16. It's like the IRS. You follow the rules till the inspector tells it's wrong. Ultimately it's his call.
  17. Anyone in middle TN know the code requirements for plumbing a washing machine? Specifically stan pipe size, trap distance, etc. Codes came out and I need some clarification. Thanks.

Sounds like a great place too buy dirt cheap off the bank and open a satellite location for someone. I mean who else is the bank going to be able to sell a gun range to!
  19. Found this from some of the flashlight forums and got to say, pretty impressed. I got this one and has worked as promised. 250 lumen's, 5 modes, part changeability, HA-III finish, all for $20. they have other stuff as well, but their flashlights get great reviews on the forums. 20. The folks are super nice and accommodating. I have found their prices to be a tad higher than some other places but nothing deal breaking. Would highly recommend. And yes it did take a a try or too to find them.
  21. A milled bulgy is a very nice AK! Building an AR is great for leaning about the gun and the DIY satisfaction. Plus, folks are impressed when you say, "I built it myself!" As Magic said, price wise there isn't a whole lot of difference. The main difference is you can get exactly what you want. In that case it is a little cheaper..... sometimes.
  22. Yeah, I'm with him on politics but he wears on me. Something about his voice just gets on my nerves and if I hear the word nitwitery one more time!
  23. Could be interesting. Since I only read about these things (Shot etc.) this could be a cool thing to see.
  24. Wonder if they got hacked and someone is having fun with their prices?
