Anarchy is NOT in the Constitution. However, the rule of law and order is. It is the premise of why we have a Constitution in the first place. The understanding that man can orderly and respectfully live together under an agreed set of acknowledged rights IS the Constitution. It's kinda like the folks that like to hail a Biblical commandment yet forget the purpose of that commandment. That was the very reason Jesus was killed. Legalism is a caner on society. I'm afraid we are covered in it.

Haha, that's where it gets tricky. I am primarily a Pastor (last 12 years) by calling and security, Deposition videography, and a slew of other things for extra money. My full resume looks like a road map of craziness. I held no fewer than 2 jobs (Church included) at the same time over the last 12 years and as many as 4 at one time! The one thing ministry has provided me is an opportunity to try all sorts of things as a second job. So I guess you could say I'm not transitioning as much as I am looking for something stable, good pay, and interesting for a secondary job.

From what I've read the short stroke is the way to go. A lot of the systems have problems with the carrier binding as the force of the piston rod pushes the front of the carrier up into the receiver instead of strait back. I have also read where the ones that use the exising gas keys break due to these same forces. Just curious as to what makes the HK run so much better. Here is a nice figure form the field trials.

Thanks guys. I know the differences between DCSO and PD, just curious if it is worth the time to take the job. I'm told it's near impossible to get on warrants or SWORD so this would probably be mainly CO.

Any Deputies here? I had applied a while back (over a year ago) just out of curiosity and now they are wanting me to come on board. So far, here are the general comments I get from folks: It's not criminal LE (POST?), fairly low initial pay (30K), and in Davidson Co. mainly correctional officers. Are there any good things to this job? Is there an ability to lateral transfer to PD's or do you have to go through another/different academy? Thanks guys.

If you're only building the lower half all you really need is the castle nut wrench. I've got a couple of those as well. The DPMS tool does have a wrench as well.

I know when I had my wreck and was in the emergency room i informed them that it was in my shoulder bag (family hadn't arrived yet) and they sent the security officer to me about it. They basically said I could keep it in the room or they would put it in the safe at the security desk till I wanted it. All hes asked was if he had permission to make sure it was unloaded. No problem. Unloadede it and put the loaded mag and bullet back in the bag. Point being, maybe he should have had hospital security hold it for him as they do with other personal property till he wanted it back. Not that I think the police are nefarious, just that when they get stuff it can get complicated in getting it back ect. After all they are part of the beurocracy to some extent. Not their fault just the way it is these days.

I have a DPMS multi tool that has just about everything you need for the stock, forearms, ect. If you want it just PM me. I'd let it go for $10.

Just make sure you add something like Stabil to get the most out of it and get rid of water. If sealed properly and in a cool dry place I think it can make it a year, maybe a little longer. I curious as well to long term storage as I've never keep any for more than a year.

The 1st has nothing to do with a public forum. As David has made it clear, it's his house, his party and he can have who he wants. We are guest and must abide by his rules. Think of it this way, guy comes to my house and starts saying all sorts of vulgar and off color stuff and he will be asked to leave. If he doesn't leave he will be escorted by the police. 1A has absolutely nothing to do with it.
