Only reason I asked was that the first day at the academy the drill Sgt. made it abundantly clear that any stop by LE was technically an arrest. The reason being you could not voluntarily keep going without some interaction and his permission to leave. Thus technically detaining, for whatever reason, is an arrest. Thanks, Dave.

I've actually heard that from several different LE's from Memphis to Nashville.

How does that work with the "right to remain silent" or the 5A? or do those apply only after you are under arrest? Which technically you are if you are involuntarily stopped. Just curious. I thought silence was the only real defiance one had.

It's a course you have to take. Usually takes a day or two for the initial liscense. most places that do HCP Classes do this course as well.

What some are arguing for is judicial relativism vs judicial absolutism. Relativism is a dangerous game that is bent more by the will of ideology than right and wrong. The slide release notch is a little different as well. I had used a C&S extended slide release and I had to Dremel it a little so that it would catch. Other than those two issues it is exactly the same.

Almost all crime is hate motivated. I've yet to see many "love" crimes. To add severity to what someone thinks some else is thinking at the time is crazy. Who gets to interpret your mind? This is all born out of an emotional knee jerk reaction to individuals not associated to the original crime. This doesn't help the victim. It is an illogical attempt to punish society for perceived injustices that instead has adverse results. It is not based on sound law, logic, or anything else of reason.
