Ah, "mental illness" the new catch all so that everyone can be a victim of a disease. Problem is that "mental illness" in clinical standards is very finely defined. Once they start changing the definition there are no boundaries. Once you label it; you can tax it, medicate it, arrest it, jail it, and most importantly control it with the government.

Companies ending partnerships with NRA

Yeah, I sent an email as well as called and canceled my Simplisafe services. I'm not a big boycotter but this is getting stupid. The quicker they feel the impact, the quicker this stupid, knee jerk, reactionary, idiocy, will cease. I don't care what they believe, but using their company to punish me for what I believe is just bad business. -
Bellshire had Anderson's for a decent price as of today. Don't remember the price but I remember thinking it was about what they should cost after shipping and transfer
-
This is in fact true. The billet trunions are marked with a star stamp on the left side. I picked up a "blem" today for $499 shipped. Hard to beat at that price. Good thing is that if something goes wrong PSA has a lifetime warranty on their guns.

I've got four on the shelf right now. I can't see them getting any cheaper and they can only go up.

Ruger LCR it's what your are looking for by your requirements. Caliber is up to you.

Charging Handles...how much to pay.
Smith replied to hipower's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I've had good luck worth some of these https://outdoorsportsusa.com/AR-15-Parts/AR-15-Charging-Handles -
Not trying to be funny, but this ... AK mags are about as easy to load as it gets.

Simple, you can't buy cheap online (guns at least) without a brick and mortar. You won't miss them till they are all gone. The ones left standing will then be able to charge what ever they want because there will be no one else. Cause and effect is not linear, it's dynamic. When I started working at a gun store I was of the same mind as many here that transfers were an insignificant transaction that stores should be pleased to participate in simply for customer goodwill. After 4 years, I felt much different and can understand if no stores did transfers.
-
It's not the easy trasnactions that are that difficult. It's when you have denials, appeals, conditional approvals; then your dealing with customers who are angry with you becasue of something you can't control. having guns arranged to be returned and transfered yet again. Then they call and angrily visit you to solve an issue you can't do anything about. You also have the hassle of dealing with out of state sellers who don't send guns the correct way, serial number matching issues, storage, liability, transfer issues, etc. I know when I worked in a store we spent quite a bit of time on the phone and e-mail middle manning transfers that were not smooth. All that to say the investment alone in brick and mortar to store and transfer the gun you bought dirt cheap isn't $35 dollar cheap. Just remember the money you save buying online is paid by the brick and mortar's investment. I still look for the cheapest deal I can get, but I'm also going to be reasonble with my expectations of the LGS.

I liked it. Yeah, there are a lot of recycled plot lines from earlier movies, but at the same time it did stay consistent with the whole balance concept. So it would necessitate recycling. I think the Disney thought is to restart for the younger generation. My kids (all under 14 yrs) really liked it. Most of the other (older) movies confused them. They were constantly asking who people were and how things were connected. They just didn't have enough context. This movie let them start fresh while keeping a connection to the past movies.

I'm kind of impressed by the fact that the table/dressor/mag mount has a matching crocheted cover. Somebody went all out to mix some weird stuff together!

Try Robert Forbus he's in Greenbrier. Awesome guy, awesome tools, awesome knowledge. https://robertforbus.com/Kalashnikova_Tools.htm

I've found the best result with a dosing of brake cleaner as prep. Mainly to get any cosmoline cleared out as well as any loose gunk. A little wire brush around the feed lip welds and it's usually good to go. The parkerizing or coating that's left works pretty good as a primer. Plus the Duplicolor works well on just about any surface. Again, it's an AK mag. You don't want it to look too good!
-
Looks great!
-
Yeah, obviously you are correct! HST's are phenomenal and my choice. Work great even when I don't know who makes it.
-
Don't think so. Hydroshock's have been around some time and HST's are the renamed/marketed Black Talon's iirc.

Yes, it's hi-temp engine enamel 500°.

Also, if you want BHO mags the Weapontech followers work well. I fitted most of my mags with them and they work great. https://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XPAAFWTAKF3&name=WEAPONTECH+Enhanced+BHO+AK+Follower+3+Pack&groupid=15

All my AK's, which have been numerous, get a light coat. Mainly for uniformity and a little extra protection. Makes them look clean.
-
Btw - I keep a can of Duplicolor DE1634 Low Gloss Black and after I spray clean my commie mags with brake cleaner, I give them a light coat of the Duplicolor. Makes them look new and it holds up really well. The Duplicor matches about as close as anything I've found to the Izmash black and goes with pretty much everything else.

AIM Suplus, Apex Gun Parts, FTF Industries, and Robert RTG usually have pretty decent deals.
