  1. We knew Reno was doing it and Ashcroft was the one to drag out in the open. Now, if we can actually get an administration that will permanently deal with this.
  2. A couple thoughts: 1. Are you sure your getting them in straight? Sometimes if you get them just a little canted they will bind. 2. If that's not the problem you may need to open the mag well a hair. Try to find where the tight spots are and relieve a little material in those spots. Just be careful! They may have not ground down the catch (one of the Saiga conversion steps) or most likely, 3.it may be the Crapco's. I would try normal AK mags first and then see how they fit. US mags are NOT the way to go with AK's.
  3. Speechless. On the brighter side, maybe God was being gracious to those boys by taking them out before it got worse. I couldn't imagine having to live with someone like that.

    TWENTY SEVEN

I love it that the Yankees have spent all that money and haven't won it in 9 years! Can't stand the Yankees.
  5. Your this close to the Testicle Lock Box Obama! or I AM the Testicle Lock Box!
  6. Although we would get much more hands on in Memphis () you really need to get something going here in Nashville!
  7. I disagree. I think they are entirely on base. It is part of Yeager's background history etc. Regardless of what he "teaches" it is/will always be influenced by his professional history which, he basis his teaching on. At least the parts he likes. That being said glad the OP got what he thinks is good stuff.

    Info on VZ 58s

Off the top of my head Centerfiresystems had them in their magazine for $599 but I don't see them on the website. I know I've seen a few other places with them down a little more but I can't remeber where ATM.
  9. When I say taxes I'm talking mostly about Cafe standards and the like. True they were not paying traditional taxes but they were paying out the wazzu on government standards, regulations, etc. Here is an interesting read. http://www.uschina.org/public/documents/2006/09/us-manufacturing.pdf
  10. They sent jobs oversees because of taxes and union. Not greed and evil intentions. If I recall correctly, it similar to how the US got started. On a side note, manufactoring is not gone nor dying. It has changed, but we still make a lot a stuff here in the US. More than we import BTW. Not the same stuff we used to make, but again that goes back to taxes and unions. Manufactoring will never be like it was before the fall of communism. Things have changed and it is truly a global market now.

I think they've already made that decision. That would be the reason for their sudden availability and the price drop from $800+ to around $500.
  12. Eh, nevermind. I'm an idiot who can't read. However, here is a good one at a great price http://www.centerfiresystems.com/bulgarianak-74545x39riflepartakagun-bul.aspx
  13. If you need some class to tell you not to do the things they did, I don't think it would help much. Warning labels are for these guys.
  14. With prices as low as they are right now, buy one from K-var and be done with it. It will cost you less and get you more.
  15. I was thinking they were importing the Saiga conversions, either way the link I posted is the right one.
  16. Right now the best 74 is from Arsenal. Prices have come WAY down and it is a true Russian AK. BTW this is the first time Russian '74's have been available http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=17055&cat=356&page=1
  17. Kinda like when I see a 20 something zip into a handicap spot and ghetto walk into the store. One of my pet peeves for sure

Yeah, I've seen those weight listed and I think they may be wrong. The p07 may weigh that much with a mag. Either way they are both great weapons. I was just throuwing out an option. Hey, SavageSig you have both? Can you tell a difference?
  19. I stand corrected. Missed the 4 day thing. However, they can't serve food only 4 days and alcohol can they? They would cease to be a restaurant and a become a bar.
  20. Still a restraunt and if not posted why go somewhere else?

If you need a better grip you might try the P07. It is very slim, think Hi-Power, but also short like a G19. I like mine a lot better than the G19's I've had. i also think it is slimmer than the Rami and considerably lighter overall.
  22. Not arguing against it. Just saying legal is different than a companies policies. Companies have policies all the time that are not necessarily legal. Some of this is due to differences in state laws. If the parent company is righting policy in California you can beat there will be conflicts in Tennessee. Unless you have the resources to legal fight the policy it's probably a better avenue to fight for policy change through the legislature. On the other hand I am all for a companies right to do what they want (within the law). You don't have to work there and they shouldn't have to keep you or hire you if they don't want. I think there are too many work laws as there are. Some are good but most just cost the employees and customers too much. It used to be a privilege to work and people took pride in what they did. Now all a lot of them seem to do is moan and groan about what they don't have while doing a half ass job as it is.
  23. Very nice. It appears K&D did not close. Their website is back active. Kevin does nice work.
  24. HR literature is not law and by law they have to post. Now if there are contracts involved it becomes a whole other issue as well.
  25. Maybe an hour. Most of that was being careful to not grind too much etc. If I were to do it again, which I will as soon as $ is more available, i think I could get the basic conversion done in 30 minutes or less.
